Nice quiet spot, road up is thin and wouldn’t take any thing bigger than a panel van mine is 6mtrs and was fine, only a few spots to turn around but if you keep going until it says no vehicles past this point there is space for about 3 vans and ample turning room
Very popular location for travellers and locals alike. All the ‘singular’ spots were taken in our arrival … so we continued to the end of the track where we found a larger area and we joined 3 other vans. Great, quiet location.
Ontzettend mooie plek om te overnachten. Midden in de natuur, nauwelijks autos die er langs komen. Aanrader!!
Great spot for the first night on our trip to do the NC500. Very quiet with nice views and the sound of the river as a backdrop. Would recommend not leaving it too late, we arrived around 7pm and the larger space further down already had four vans, three others arrived through the evening looking for spaces so definitely a popular road to park up.
Really quiet road - dead end so wasn’t disturbed overnight. Single track and very windy so probably not suitable for bigger motor homes. Public toilets in Newtonmore are excellent. In the morning I ran along the road and down the track marked ‘calder path’ which led down to the stream for a wash.
