arrived late Saturday night. only car/van here. very quiet and sheltered from the wind.one car came around midnight but didn't bother us. beautiful views in the morning. will certainly use again!

neilb188906/11/2023Stayed last night on our way to Chatsworth. Arrived just after lunchtime and it was full of cars (walkers and cyclists) all of which had left by 5pm and then just us (Moho) and two campervans for the night. Very quiet stopover and a fantastic sunrise through the trees this morning.

Stayed one night here. Lovely and quiet park up. I would use this place again and recommend it.

Stayed last night. One other camper van. Tucked away in the bottom corner with nice views. Spoke to the ranger who had no problems with overnight camping. Brill night!

noisy at night from boy racers, also spoke with a ranger who told me 'no overnight camping' signs to be introduced soon as well as a parking metre due to the increase numbers of campers. He informed me some campers have been having fires and bbqs which is forbidden on moorland due to flamable ground. shame but great for a day park up.

Quite a nice spot. 3 other campervans here last night and all respectfully quiet. A nice little pine wooded area to walk in. Just some odd comings and goings of locals late at night until about midnight.

KayRM08/10/2022A lovely rural car park. Not busy on a weekday. Great walks from the car park and via a gate on the opposite side of the road. A couple of cars arrived late evening for an hour and left a lot of litter but we were not disturbed.

Nice site with stunning views and lovely walks. there were some cyclists there till around 10pm and then a few cars coming in and out dogging, they were away from us and didnt disturb us. we had a nice peaceful sleep listening to the owls and rustling leaves

Obviously there are no facilities. That aside it is an idyllic spot in the peak district, beautifully quiet, amazing variety of birds on the feeders. No untoward visitors day or night. Great night's sleep.

Excellent flat site plenty of room. Busy with walkers during the day. Think this a national trust carpark no restriction signs. Sign posted as Shillto Wood car park from the A621

This is a great place for day time walks and views. However as night approached, cars arrived with single male drivers. When googled found this was a dogging site. Hence we left rapidly and then stayed in Baslow just down the road. I don't recommend this for overnight parking
