Great park up, Stayed 3rd March 2024 in our 8.5m Motorhome. Motorhome and Van allocated spaces, £11 for 24hr. 5 minute walk to the beach. Had a great nights sleep, Pretty quiet. Motorhome bays relatively flat. No bins, No services. Wi-Fi signal not great. Overall pretty good.

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night midweek in February, fair few campers/motorhomes already there by 2pm but very quiet over the entire 24 hours we were there. Good access to the beach and the Maer. Rubbish bins (wheelies) provided and emptied in the morning. No issues.

  • 5/5

Stayed here 18th January 2024 for 4 nights at £5 a night. A great place, yes, some traffic noise but not all night. Good location, just back from sea front. Plenty to see and do in Exmouth, pubs, eating places, shops etc. I really enjoyed staying here.

  • 4/5

Stayed here 22/10/23 . Parked on the side where the gates are which is not exactly level but had no choice . Mobile signal is patchy but not the end if the world . I had a neighbour both sides and it was quiet bar the blue Hilux that was with the very large RV . Good spot for the beach but off the beach enough for less disturbances . Paid via the machine which is a bit complex but it’s £6 or so .

  • 4/5

We stayed here 21st Oct paid £6.20 on app, very easy. Lots of space, plenty of other vans so felt safe. The barrier comes down overnight so no disturbance. Only allowed to stay for 3 nights . Really good spot, there are public loos just further down the road toward the beach by the RNLI Gift shop and I did see an outside tap. No facilities in this car park

  • 1/5

Noisy and expensive. Friday night summer. We experienced boy racers riding noisy trail bikes and using Maer Road as a race track from 9pm until after midnight. Then there was the ghetto blasting music from cars during a tour around town past us. The road was busy until 1am and was then quiet until 6am when traffic resumed. Add to this our noisy neighbour who decided to have a conversation with their door open past midnight (we moved location) and you get the idea. Thank you council for giving us a place to park but 11 pounds with no amenities was too rich for us. Not many alternatives in town. Maybe try your luck on the sea front. It’s free.

  • 4/5

a very reasonable £6 for an overnight stay. lots of neighbours but it’s a huge car park so it was nice and quiet and it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach front. toilets quite far away but apart from that it’s a fab location

  • 4/5

not a bad night, lots of vans, and one big green coach. had a fair sound system, did leave 18:30. but the afternoon was really for Drum and Base fans.

  • 5/5

We stayed here as a group in April 23 with five other motor homes , all the spaces were occupied , so we parked in the car park spaces 20 Mtrs opposite and asked the council parking man who was checking tickets on windscreens would it be ok to occupy two spots and he said YES . Great place to stop for a night or two . Wish every town offered something similar.

  • 3/5

was going okay until the council thought it was okay to let 3 mavericks into the carpark at 8am with petrol strimmers within 2 feet of the each of the 16 motorhomes parked up. WELL DONE DCC

  • 5/5

We did hit the June high temperatures so this was a great location and a good safe stop. 10 minutes walk to a fantastic beach with shops and eat/drinks.

  • 5/5

A fantastic place to stay! You're close to the beach, park, and a short walk to shops. It was quiet at night. A few other vans and motorhomes parked up. lots of bins close by, toilets are a short walk away. People friendly and helpful.

  • 4/5

Well done East Devon District Council! Huge car park with plenty of dedicated motorhome spots. It should be noted that the entry to the car park is closed at 7pm, although the exit remains open, making it a peaceful spot overnight. Town and beach close, with a great place for dogs in-between. The sign suggests it is only for vehicles less than 5.3m in length, but the actual spaces are huge.

  • 1/5

Unfortunately a number of travellers have moved into the car park.

  • 5/5

Really great site and so quiet and safe. The barrier is locked at 10pm and re-opened at 8am. Nice walk into town. The spaces were really large and there were only three vans that stayed over night. Would definitely recommend.

  • 4/5

stayed one night. quiet and easy access to the town and beach opposite. Will definitely use again. felt very safe

  • 5/5

Good stopover, same as previous comments. Plenty of room for 5.5m motorhome and peaceful. Thanks East Devon Council and local community for welcoming vans. We supported local businesses (recommend The Italian Store, Prezzo’s and the market!). Beautiful beach. Really lovely for me to relax in the area where I grew up.

  • 4/5

Spent one night here. Very quiet, about 10 other vans staying the night. £11 for 24hrs, toilets and the beach just a short walk. Great location and will definitely stay again.

  • 4/5

Great stopover. 15min walk from town centre and 2min from beach good walking for the dog. Quiet a night. Stayed for 2 nights 9 vans first night 10 second. £11 for 24 hours and as said below it’s the motorhome code via RingGo. Gate closes at 7pm but exit is open. Wish all councils were this open to motorhomes stopping overnight

  • 3/5

Looks good but I find when I get there that the entry gates close at 10pm until end September, then from 7pm October onwards. So I couldn’t get in.

  • 3/5

  • 5/5

We stayed here for 2 nights in our medium sized Motorhome recently and it was great. No services on site except waste bins but at £11.00 for 24 hours we thought it good value in a busy seaside town. When paying with Ringgo please use the Motorhome location number on the big board and not the number on the payment machines as the one on the machines will not allow payment for 24 hours.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay, £11 for 24hours maximum of 3 nights. Just over the road from the beach. Full when we arrived but space by the evening and this was height of summer. Felt like a welcoming community - other councils should take note !

  • 4/5

Large parking space with room for approx. 20 motorhomes plus smaller vans. £11 for 24 hours totally ok for city parking. Busy road in the daytime but fairly quiet at night, the sea right across the road with a small park. Recommendable for a stop over.

  • 4/5

Parked here last night and had a peaceful night sleep (woke up at 8 naturally) loads of boy racer going up and down the prom but too far away to bother you. Will stop here again next time in that area

  • 5/5

tranquille la nuit ,le parking est fermé a 20h donc pas de rodéo nocturne. proche de la plage et de la balade du front de mer

  • 3/5

Please note this car park is no longer being used as a covid testing centre and all portacabins etc have been taken away. There are several long motorhome bays. However, nowhere in the car park to get water, empty waste water or empty toilet. Public toilets a short walk away, open early morning and close in the evening. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach.

  • 5/5

Grand parking 6 livres le 24 h. Près de la plage et des sentiers qui longent les falaises.

  • 4/5

Good park up for longer campers as beachfront only allow a certain length. £11 for 24 hours and signs state fine for overnight stops with coach and motorhome spaces. Near the dog beach and a field for walking dogs too. No facilities, but public toilets near by. Get there earlier as does get busy!

  • 5/5

  • 3/5

Great of EDCC to provide dedicated parking but it’s shared with the NHS Testing Centre which will persist thru 2022. Not much other parking for larger Motorhomes in Exmouth as sea front road opposite is limited to 5.5m. V busy on holidays and weekend so you need a back up plan (campsite) if your visiting at busy times.

  • 3/5

Stayed last night (14 April 22) and it is £11 for overnight but you must use correct code! There are 2 codes one for “normal” parking and one for overnight, no issues although majority of spaces are currently unavailable as there is a temp covid testing centre on them.

  • 1/5

Be careful if you only want to stay for a few hours parking. RingGo will charge you for 24 hours no matter how long you park. In the process of trying to sort this with East Devon Council. So use your card or cash not the app.

  • 2/5

Entire area including car park used as race track overnight. £3 on app (registered as MH) is reasonable for one night though

  • 4/5

Great spot. Plenty of space despite Covid Testing Centre presence. Separated from the beach only by a lovely grassy nature reserve. Toilets clise-by. £11.00 for 24 hrs. Stay limited to 3 days.

  • 4/5

Stayed for 1 night with 6 other big motor homes no noise overnight. Being used as a covid test centre but very quiet. There are toilets on the seafront open 8am - 8pm. Not very scenic but felt safe and close to the beach.

  • 5/5

Great Area, stayed here for 3 nights, nice flat bays, £11 for 24hrs and lovely and quiet. Beach only a few minutes walk away and lovely area to walk dogs opposite.

  • 5/5

£11 for the night very quiet nobody around and your able to sleep for the night in a locked car park about a 1 minute walk from the beach . The car park is locked at 8pm at the moment due to COVID also worth pointing out part of it is being used as a Covid test centre .would give this a 10/10

  • 4/5

Car park now open again. flat tarmac parking, £11 per night for overnight at Machine. DO NOT attempt to pay for 24hrs motorhome on PAYMOBILE app,it takes your payment as if your a car. Update....I have just spoken to the parking warden, and she told me " as long as you pay £11, it doesn't matter how you do it, pay 11 x £1 tickets if you wish,as long as its £11."

  • 1/5

Hi guys just heads up this car park is now being used as a COVID-19 test centre

  • 4/5

Looked at parking on Queens and thought a bit risky over hanging the parking bay, so came here. The barrier is closed at 20:00 until morning which stops young boy racers using the CP as race track. Took a little time to understand getting a ticket as you need to press the yellow button to access motorhome overnight parking £11.b. This was a great place for my onward journey onto Cornwall.

  • 4/5

So good that we stayed a second night. Met lots of fellow camper vanners and the allocated spaces are massive. 2 mins to the beach and toilets £11 for 24 hours including overnight

  • 5/5

Great place for an overnight stop very busy and a fair stroll into town had a food nights sleep

  • 3/5

Safe and spacious well done Exmouth council we are welcome here and paid by app 13hrs here just under 4 quid result

  • 5/5

Good set up and you know you won’t be knocked to move on as explicitly states overnight stays are allowed. £11 for 24 hours and you can pay by coin or card - about 5 min walk from beach!

  • 4/5

Just to clarify previous comment, even though entrance is closed between 8pm - 8am you can still leave at any time (drive over one way teeth at exit). Currently staying here with 7 other vans.

  • 5/5

REFERENCE COMMENT 24.06.20 ...... Forgot to say if parking overnight barrier closed from 7PM March to September and 4PM October to February so no good arriving later as barrier will be down. Doesn’t say what time it opens in the morning so if an early departure is needed enquire to East Devon District Council .... eastdevon.gov.uk/parking (think it may be 8AM but not sure). HAVE STAYED SINCE THIS POSTING, YOU CAN DRIVE OUT WHEN BARRIER IS DOWN, JUST DRIVE OVER 'TEETH' NO PROBLEM. THANK YOU EAST DEVON COUNCIL, NICE TO FIND SUCH A MOTORHOME FRIENDLY COUNCIL. *****

  • 5/5

Parked here 24.06.20, lots of parking space for large and long motorhomes. Charges are 50p per 1/2hr up to 5 1/2 hrs for £5.50 then £6.00 pay for 6 hrs get 24 hrs. Can park motorhomes for several days. We got there before lunch and plenty of spaces but very very busy by 2PM. The beach is amazing and is shallow as you go out in sea so can walk out quite a long way before it gets deep. There are a couple of cafes, lifeguard and lifeboat. Flat parking. Bins provided and toilets across the road in the other car park on the beach. Don’t get tempted to use the car park on the beach or along the sea front as very busy and no special places for MH’s. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED...... ENJOY!.

  • 4/5

The car park is locked overnight but overnight parking is allowed. This is the only camper parking officially allowing overnight parking for larger camper vans. The echelon parking on Queens Drive is only suitable for up to six metres and that is a bit tight. Camper overnight parking is no longer allowed by the estuary at the “Duck Pond” location.
