If you get the right spot the views are brilliant. some people on the grass having open fires giving campers a bad name. locals rightly hating it. came back to parking tickets on every car. beware. park in the laybies or not at all.

Stopped for a spot of fishing. Great views and a good turn the dog. No overnight.

Moved on by police at 9pm such a shame as a great spot but seems they really clamping down on wild camping in the lakes this year.
tonycuth16/08/2020You can’t park here overnight. The National Trust officers and the police will move you on or fine you. This applies to all National Trust land.
