This is a fine place to park. The view is interesting with container vessels using the Shannon. It’s a huge open space and we are grateful that the community have allowed it to stay open for people to park. We’ve spent some money in the village and will try and find the place mentioned a couple of reviews ago for breakfast tomorrow. For us there’s nothing not to like.
Hier wil je echt niet staan. Midden tussen de scheepswerf. Durf echt niet te zeggen : mooi uitzicht want dat is het NIET. Nee na 5 min om ons heenkijken was er maar een conclusie : wegwezen. Ballysteen pier wil ik graag aanbevelen.
Slept here one night February 2023. All alone, felt safe and close to town. Had awesome breakfast in town as well. Bit noisy late night, but it was a Friday eve. All quiet by around 22:30.
Lovely views but by the roadside. As lond as you don’t mind the traffic it’s ok for one night.
Carpark with no height restriction, nice place with lovely view to stay for the night. no water or waste facilities. it is further up the hill from the port entrance (called Foyle Island viewpoint)
