Nice little spot just outside of Buxton. Little bit of traffic during the daytime. Sheltered from the main road. Would stay again.

LauraBHitchen01/06/2023Really noisy with cars in and out all night. Road now open so traffic noise from the road too. Waggons running engines a 0400 and lots of litter. Nice view but I won't be staying here again unfortunately.
GaryBird05/09/2022Quiet park up with fantastic views. Road is still closed until end of September, however the lay-by is still accessible from the Buxton end. You can walk past the barriers to access the footpath down to the Fernilee reservoir.
Buxtonblue15/05/2022From March to September the main road closed ,but you can still get to lay-by from Buxton end .we stayed last Saturday night it was fantastic with no road noise,just a fella further up who lives in his camper van for company. With great tv signal & 4g if need , the views our breath taking with sun set over forest beneath.

What more could you want from a lay-by, if it’s great views and a good quiet spot, then this is for you, few cars drive by but to to the point of disturbing your sleep. 3 other campers also with room for maybe 2 more

Great views and spot during the day, was going to stay the night until all the doggers started showing up around 9/10 o'clock.
