It’s midnight and a lot of cars coming in and out but it’s almost flat and a quiet area. The photos on you google maps are old and the parking space is much smaller since the new estate has been built

Perfect spot for an overnight. Right next to the canal for a lovely walk. Very peaceful nights sleeps in a residential area so be mindful of people living there and be respectful. Pizzeria and supermarket within a 2 min walk. No trash cans so take rubbish with you. Would stay again.

Spassnase07/06/2023Perfekter Platz für eine Nacht. Es ist nachts ruhig. Morgens kommen Hundebesitzer mit dem Auto, um am Kanal zu spazieren. Gegenüber vom Kanal waren Schafe und ab und zu fuhr ein Lastkahn vorbei. Es gibt auch einen Abfalleimer. Für Fahrzeug mit 7m Länge war genug Platz. Danke für den tollen Tipp.

Mostly quiet. Occasional car pulls up playing music, but they don't stay. Fishermen arrive early with all their gear, so perhaps you won't get a lie-in. Bigger vehicles should reverse up to the canal side, as there isn't a lot of space to reverse back out when the carpark is in use.

Stayed here in early June after a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. A fantastic place to stay overnight, quiet and scenic. Would stay here again and highly recommend. Cars fill up in the morning with walkers and fishing folk so park sensible and leave no trace.
beerollmandy05/03/2022The access road has changed from what you can see on google maps as there are now new houses built on the left as you drive in so it’s lovely and smooth. Level tarmac parking, great canal walks with a nice path that wasn’t muddy, lovely views of the canal (if you don’t mind a few pylons) it was a bit blustery when I stayed but loved watching the canal barges cut by

Stayed here over night a few times nice spot no restrictions or height barriers and great fishing spot
