Stayed Friday and Saturday nights. No issues. Good clean toilets 5 min walk away. Will stay again

Stayed over one night (Friday). Not disturbed in the morning due to the recycling station not opening. Slight inclined but not issue. No prohibition notices. No issues. Good park up for Elan valley trail. Would stay again.

Fab spot very peaceful. Only a gentle slope not steep at all. Had the place to myself. Less than a 5 minute walk to the loos and about 10 mins to town centre. Postcode takes you into housing estate but the actual car park is further along. Fab for free :)

We came here and it was full of cars, it’s is extremely sloped so we found another place around the corner. Not good for larger moho

Woken up at 5:40am by a council worker, itching for confrontation. parked VERY close to us, blaring his radio and shouting and swearing about all the campers here...there were only 2 vans. The youngsters visiting during the night were qiueter and had more respect! My wife and I litter picked the evening before, what a shame! I'd stay friday and Saturday night but not Sunday night or weekdays!

Stayed one night on way home from North Wales. A couple of cars about late evening then all quiet until staff for the waste transfer place arrived about 7am. No problems at all.

  • 4/5

Very quiet and secluded site. Not picturesque and workers arrive in the morning but they didn’t say anything about any of the three campers parked up. Felt very safe. Perfect for a night if you’re arriving late, got a big van and just need somewhere to sleep.

  • 4/5

Used as a stop over on the way to South Wales. It’s just a car park, but did the job. Quiet and quite sheltered. We’d use again if doing this route. Toilets back at the main road close by. No height restrictions.

  • 4/5

Free almost level and just far enough away from town (700 meters) and the road to get a good night sleep. If you are there during the week then you will probably be woken quite early by the workers at the municipal facility next door. Toilets nearby are clean, free and well maintained. Lovely walks around the town and into the countryside and easy access to the Elan Valley.

  • 5/5

Quiet area, within walking distance from the town. Spent one night.

  • 3/5

Easy to find if you follow the signs for the Elan Valley, road B4518 on your right just on the edge of Rhayader. Quiet night, just a few vans. Easy 10 minute walk into town for pubs, cafes and shops. Good parking for start of Elan Valley Trail or drive up to the visitors centre. No overnight stay at the visitors centre but £2.50 for the day and one ticket covers all the estate car parks.

Tried to find this park up to use this evening but the address given sent us to a housing estate. Shame as would have been ideal for what we were looking for. Please could OP wrote some directions, thanks.

  • 3/5

Ok for a night or two but you will be woken by workers who start arriving at 7.30am. Slight slope.

  • 4/5

Quiet car park but smaller than thought. No one disturbed us at all overnight.

  • 2/5

Functional for an overnight stay but nothing picturesque! Easy access for larger vehicles. The waste facility is quiet (and no smell), a few workers cars coming to park here in the morning. No toilets or water. You do get signal unlike other parkings around here. Easy to reach trails etc from here.

To close to housing to be of use.

  • 1/5

Is just a parking near containerpark. Nothing special

  • 3/5

Coordenadas erróneas, es un poco más adelante. Hay señalización en la vía. sin servicios e inclinada, pero se puede acceder al río

  • 5/5

Very good spot, free to park now. Take the wildlife walk path in the corner of the car park into town (quicker than the road way on foot), toilets are a few minutes walk away, near the triangle inn. Good 4g signal. Also it's right at the start of the cycle route to the Elan valley/lakes.

  • 4/5

Large council car park. Charges during day and overnight for larger MHs Has clean toilets which were open overnight. Has recycling bins so some traffic early evening with people dumping bottles/paper etc. All spaces slope.

  • 4/5

Large council car park which charges during day (see photos) but free from 6pm if small van, larger campers have to pay. Has clean toilets which were open overnight. Does have recycling bins so some evening traffic with people dumping bottles/paper etc. Does slope slightly.

  • 4/5

Looks legit! quite and infront of the path to the valley

  • 3/5

Not a coosy spot with scenery but for a nigth it's okay. Quiet at night but big lights from the environmental waste facility. 5mins from a village with services: Toilet, supermarket, launderette and a few pubs.
