Really handy spot! Loads of restaurants to choose from too if you needed food! Could hear people leaving carpark until around midnight but was quite after that. Just phone the office number located on the notices dotted around and kindly ask to stay. They will take your details. Very friendly and helpful!

Stopped here last night, very convenient and peaceful, ideal for all sizes of MoHo. Tried ringing the phone number but no answer. Rang to book in as per photo instructions two weeks ago and was told ring when you arrive. Off to spoons for breakfast

Stayed 1 night, very friendly and efficient staff on the end of the phone. Good location for walking around the coastline to Porchester Castle. Wetherspoons breakfast not to be missed. Bit noisy until last cars leave then super quiet. Will use again. Great if they added grey & black waste with a small charge.

Stayed for one night to test our new micro camper out, all good. A little noisy with pub goers leaving and car noise but a safe place to stay with others.

As described, super helpful security personnel giving us confidence to use this brilliant free stopover.

two night stay after booking in with security. we had an enjoyable first evening outside wetherspoons also popped into the yaught club however it was closing early for a private function. dogs allowed and welcome there unfortunately not wetherspoons. large field opposite for dog walking beautifull marina,large car park and helpfull staff . highly recommended.

Turned up on the bank holiday weekend, signs saying no campervan parking all weekend. Called security to ask why and all the guy said was "NO". Such a shame, stayed here this time last year with no problems.

Parked up 23rd august. Really great spot but why oh why do fools put out tables & chairs?? It is a car park for goodness sake! Not a campsite. Expect this stopover to change/cease in future if folk don’t stick to the rules.

Agree with comments below. Great free overnight site to visit portsmouth. Clean public toilets at Marina, no showers or wastewater disposal. We stayed 2 nights. Seems very safe.

The first car park at port solent is the Motorhome and camper parking one, it’s signposted. Fantastic they allow you to stay, just call security, number is on the lampposts. Plenty of eateries, Wetherspoons is ideal for a cheap breakfast! Huge retail park next door with a tesco for shopping, easy access to M27. Portchester castle is nearby for a good day out

Stayed two night's after checking in with security. If you want to visit the Mary Rose etc., you can get a X4 bus from Race Course Lane to the Interchage. it's about a 25 minute walk to the bus stop, but the interchange is right next door to the historic dockyard. Well worth the visit.

Fantastic overnight stop after arriving into Portsmouth on a late ferry. Would recommend as a stop before a ferry too. Easy access. Thank you to the owner for allowing motorhomes to say. And thank you to the security guys as well

Staying here tonight before car club show in the morning then ferry to Caen in the afternoon. Great food restaurants all sorts no need to go anywhere else plus great value as the competition is great and also getting people out of Portsmouth to come.

We stopped here one evening before a late ferry departure for a few hours. So wasn’t an overnight stay but would definitely stay here in future if needing an overnight place. We ordered a takeaway from the Thai restaurant which was delicious. Nice place to walk around with all the cars, restaurants and yachts. There was a small convenience store nearby, which sold mostly confectionery & drink.

Great place to Park up, about 20 other vans there, really quiet, went and had a walk round Port Solent, ate out, great place to run the dog just across the road, just ring when you arrive, nice chap on phone, will be back x

Great site, free, no services but lovely eateries and a few shops, can even take a trip to the cinema! security very helpful, makesure sure you call tge number on arrival

Perfect stopover for an early ferry crossing (or late arrival). Call the management office (signs in the car park) to let security know you are staying. Plenty of places to eat and drink. What's not to like!

Fantastic totally free amazingly helpful man on the phone

large sloping car park for cinema and shops with bars and restaurants around the marina, lovely views and selection of eateries , difficult to find a flat spot. Very noisy with traffic along the nearby motorway and cars/motorbikes flooring it up the slip roads meaeby. Phone and leave details with very friendly staff. We counted another 20 vans.

Excellent stop, have stayed here many times now. Ring the number on the signs to get permission, they’ve have always been pleasant and friendly. Quiet overnight once everyone has left - cinema, pubs, restaurants all right there and easy access from and to motorway for onward travel

Arrived and phoned to confirm stay. Parked under street lamp for improvement safety. While we were in the van 3 youths tried to steal our bikes under a cover on the back. We moved on. Beware!

Very helpful lady on the phone. Allowed us to stay overnight. Shops, restaurants, cinema, superstore and pubs very close by. It’s only a car park but so refreshing that they do allow you to stay. Others would do well to copy.

Busy Saturday night here tonight, you have to arrive before 6 or after 10 to be sure of a place, but otherwise exactly as all the other comments. Lots of places to eat and drink at the marina.

We stayed here last week. Didn't arrive til after 2am and there were a LOT of vans. I was a bit worried that they may refuse us, because of the numbers. But the phone was answered straight away and the girl was most friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely peaceful night and a cracking breakfast at the Harvester. We will definitely stay here again.

Arrived Friday night at 10:30pm, quiet and about 5 other vans/m.homes in car park. Quiet and peaceful and stayed here for Saturday night also. Great FREE parking and Wetherspoon’s a 2 min walk away. Great placed to stay and recommend to others.

We spent one very quiet, peaceful night here arriving late from a ferry crossing. There’s a number to call on a sign on most of the lamp posts around the car park to let them know your staying and register your vehicle. They were very friendly and answered straight away after midnight. Lots of cafes and bars close by for dinner or breakfast.

Easy to find, with other vans already parked up. Woke to regular, less than calming, 'thud-thud', as we'd parked next to a speed bump on the access road. Motorhomers N.B., Portsmouth operate a punative CAZ scheme, and fleeced us for £110. Use this car park, but stay out of the City!

Beau parking très agréable mais un peu bruyant beaucoup de restos en terrasse sur le quai. La sécurité est très efficace quand vous les appelez et il vaut mieux le faire

this was our 1st time not on a camp site. it was quiet and comfortable. Great being so close to restaurants and bars but equally great to be parked slightly away from any noise. would have rated a 5 but although it said there were toilets these were closed and only open to boats moored. we had to use the toilets within bars or at the odeon.

A great spot for an overnight. Plenty of space, several other vans, motorway noise from a mile away but no disturbance. I didn’t find a sign with a number to call, but did go and watch a movie at the Odeon so was also a genuine customer! Thanks to whoever scouted this out.

Le quartier naval est accessible via Uber en 15 minutes pour 11£. Aucun service mais gratuit. Le contact téléphonique est facile : nom, téléphone, numéro d'immatriculation, nombre de nuits.

Stayed here one night after arriving on Santander-Portsmouth ferry. Phoned number to provide name, telephone number & registration mumber. We ordered an Indian takeaway from Prachee, which was very good value and great quality. Plenty of other options for eating & drinking around the marina.

Have stayed here twice over the years when getting the ferry over to the IOW , nice big spaces and fairly quiet once everybody has left the bars / restaurants , lots of places to eat and toilets , called security on the last visit as there was new signs but they just took our details

Arrived at 9.30pm and rang warden and he took a few details, asked us how long we were staying and told us to enjoy our night. Great location for eating out, cinema and drinks. Car park was surprisingly quiet but toilets were locked at 6pm when shops closed.

Great site near to marina, eating places and shops. 30 minute cycle route into Portsmouth and 10 minute cycle route to Portchester Castle. Call the number on the sign or visit the Centre Management office to give them your vehicle registration.

Arrived unannounced and rang phone number on signs, allowed to stay overnight and maybe more as was asked how long I was staying.. Few hundred yards to marina front with shops and restaurants. As mentioned by others some coming and going until 10 ish but then quiet throughout the night until about 7 ish when the leisure centre starts back up.. Do remember to ring the number to avoid fines

Pretty quiet after 10pm, before that cars coming to david lloyd gym and restaurants. overnight very quiet. slight distant road noise. arrived and went and found signs, phoned security and they said they aren't allowing stays at the moment due to covid but as we were already here it was fine. good find. park adjacent for walking dog. great.

Easy to find. Sign with telephone number is by David Lloyd building. Just call security guard and supply information and it is free to stay overnight. We booked 2 nights. Very nice man. No dedicated parking spaces for motorhomes so you need to find a suitable place to park.

Same here. Just give them a quick call and ask if you can stay for a night or two and the lady will tell you: Yes! Absolutely no problem :-) There is lots of stuff around...

Stayed here for the night after getting off the Santander ferry late. Phoned the number on the car park sign and spoke to night security. Gave our details and he said was fine to stay for the night. About 5 other campers outside Odean cinema. Great for a pit stop before driving home. Would definitely use again.

Called the management company very helpful no problem to stay in the free carpark next to the Odeon Cinema. Great for movie night. Slightly difficult to find a space on Saturday night but by 1pm carpark was nearly empty. Not much noise just a few people leaving now and then.

Not scenic, but a great place to spend a safe night prior to catching an early morning ferry. Flat tarmac, plenty of spaces. We enjoyed a pint with a marina view, and there are lots of restaurants. I love that the parking company allow you to stay with just a phone call - thanks guys! Wish more places would do this.

Bien situé bus X4 vers Portsmouth à 10 min. a pied. bruits normaux sur un parking urbain de pub, cinéma, commerces. bonne surface plane, je conseille.

Just a basic car park by a Marina but a safe & clean stay. Pretty marina close by and 10 mins to port. Spoke to a lovely man on the phone to register the car for overnight - would recommend.

Stayed here for one night. Large open, well lit car park. Approximately 6 other motor homes here also. Marina is beautiful and many eateries and bars including Wetherspoons. No services but wide open space for running the dog.

Very nice leisure centre and port. There are signs telling you to arrange overnight parking with management by telephoning. They were happy for two nights but not longer.

Got here late at night and was reassuring to see lots of other motorhomes already parked up. Had a little walk around the marina which was all lit up at night. Breakfast at Wetherspoons in the morning was lovely.

Quiet and level, not the prettiest, but it does the job!

A 10 mn du terminal du ferry. Sol plat et pavé. L'agent de surveillance de la Marina, très sympa nous a confirmé la possibilité de passer la nuit. Très calme.

La vue n'est pas formidable, ça reste un parking tout ce qu'il y a de plus classique mais un bout de bateau est visible derrière les toits des magasins, ce qui rassure pour passer la nuit avant d'embarquer demain matin ;)

Bon parking où nous avons dormis 2 nuits sans problème. Relativement occupé en journée mais le soir après 22h les places sont nombreuses. Petit port et commerces (surtout restaurants et magasins de sport) à proximité.

We stayed here sat night from 11pm to 10am before we went to get our ferry. It’s a great location free parking a number of places to eat either an evening meal or breakfast. A lovely harbour to explore when there.
