Height restriction and next to a train station. Didn't stay but I imagine the trains will be audible.

Stayed in this quiet (apart from the occasional train ) level surfaced carpark. Great for a break from driving. No hassle. The local pub does food. Flat surface.

Stayed here on 10/9/21. As others have said, there is a train line but not too busy/noisy and still had a good night's sleep and short onward journey to Southampton for IoW ferry the next morning.

Fab spot, trains aren't frequent and reasonably quiet enough not to keep you awake. few minutes walk to the Jolly Sailor, great little pub serving food on the river Hamble, for those of you of a certain age, you may remember Howard's Way which was filmed around there, thanks to BR for letting us park for free, always do a litter pick as a payback.

I stayed here on 7/8/21 and had a good sleep. as others have noted, it does have trains and foot traffic from the local pub until 11/12pm. After that it's very quiet.

Great stop, gravel parking so nice and flat. I found it very quiet other than the occasional train (it is next to the train line/station) but I slept like a log so didn't bother me. Lots of room for about 10 vans so could choose a space as it was just me and 1 other. Rubbish bin on the entrance. Still free and no signs saying no overnight parking so all good, I will use this place again.

Free park over night, couple minutes walk to jolly sailer pub. No service .

  • 5/5

Free level parking. You go through the ‘normal’ tarmac park for the train station into the gravel area. Slightly noisy with trains but they stop after maybe 11. Good area

Train station car park. Quiet, safe, very pretty area. Best space around Southampton. One of the access roads is blocked and too narrow to turn around on though, make sure you get there via Church Ln, not High St!

I spent a quiet and comfortable night here. The car park is designated as a free public car park without any obvious restrictions. It is immediately adjacent to the Bursledon railway line providing easy access to Southampton. I stayed on Saturday night but I suspect it will be busy with commuters during the week. Its a little noisy with car movements but both the cars and trains stopped at 11pm.

Large gravel railway car park ,it’s free,I found it very quiet even with the occasional train, the odd car comes in to use the jolly sailor pub a short walk away , there’s a cafe in the marina if you walk back over the River Hamble, also what looks like an excellent pub across the road from the marina

Stayed here after ferry from France. Well lit, next to train but not noisy. Roads leading to it a little narrow, but otherwise fine!

  • 3/5

Interesting place for a short stay. The gravel has mostly been absorbed by the mud and it was rather potholed and muddy when I visited. The waterside Jolly Sailor pub is worth a visit.

Great at weekends when there are few trains. Use Station Road as the address as station Hill has 6’6” width restrictions.

Neben Bahngleis daher recht laut, nicht direkt am Hafen, Koordinaten nicht ganz korrekt.
