Incredible place with multiple parking spots dotted around. Parked at the end of the small track by the stream and had a peaceful night. No signal at all here mind on EE or o2 but the peace and quiet more than make up for it. Noticed a Forestry Scotland van head down the track late at night but turned around when they noticed us parked up, so assume no problems with parking here.
der schönste Stellplatz, den ich je gesehen habe, total idyllisch unter Bäumen im Wald, leider konnten wir nicht bleiben, da null Internet/Telefon vorhanden, also nur für alle, die das nicht brauchen und zusätzlich autark sind, keine V/E, keine Toiletten usw.
Great spot, it’s some sort of large parking meandering through the forest. We parked right next to a little stream. Very quiet and peaceful. No amenities.
An absolute gem on a place to stop over, if you love no signal, nor internet! Quiet and clean. Plenty of parting spaces further up on this road too. Take rubbish home with you ?
Lovely site with many flat areas to park up. We were the only van there and didn't see any rubbish. Very quiet night and sounds of owls to hoot you to sleep.

Exceptional spot! Level sites for several vans, all isolated from one another. Looks like they removed the picnic tables and set it up for campervans. There was no rubbish whatsoever. Please keep it that way.

Amazing spot! Small walk with a bench along it looking over the stream. No signal/internet but can get both if you travel back slightly to the nearest town/village. No bins or facilities which is a small downside but other than that definitely a great place.
What an amazing find - as good as anywhere we've ever stayed. We had it completely to ourselves and the woods and little stream are beautiful. Only downside is no signal at all, and for quite a long stretch either side.
amazing spot for camping/campervans etc, gravel bays all separate and amazing stream running beside it, I used to live near here but was disappointed that we found rubbish left laying about folk to lazy to take with them, we took it away to bin it, other than that will def be back, DO NOT LITTER PLEASE
25/10/2021 Amazing park up. dead quiet, signal and beautiful surroundings. The stream was deep enough to wash in after a morning workout which was a great treat! No facilities so look after it!
If you came across this in europe you'd think it was a dedicated camper area! Although no services, the parking is laid out as if seperate "pitches". Only 4 stars as we were disturbed at 4am by a massive wagon coming in and out really fast. Don't know if this was a "one off"
Fantastic spot! You won’t find better! Has had some work done since pictures above. Room for over 10 campers but we were here on our own! Nice and quite and secluded. We had a little campfire too and there’s a stream and small walk too.
Don't be fooled by the heading and description- this is a fantastic spot. Signposted Tairlaw Picnic Area. Wooded area with 8/10 level gravel pitches some beside a small stream. Very quiet and peaceful. Only 2 or 3 other campers using the site on a sunny Saturday in July. No phone signal was the only downside, if that would bother you.
The initial description does not do this place justice. A great sheltered spot in the woods. Approximately 8/10 individual ‘pitches’. No services or facilities. Would definitely recommend.
Awesome spot ! In the woods, plenty of space for campers, vans, even motorhomes ! Had a great spot with a fire pit, we managed to find enough wood to have a small fire for a couple hours but would recommend collecting some wood before getting the spot. Would definitely recommend
Hidden gem by the river, around 10 individual little camp spots various sized mostly flat, camp fires allowed. 100% will be back. must see.
