This is a lovely spot on the seafront at the end of the promenade, with great views and access to the beach. Part shingle, part sand. Now allows overnight stops, but only 4 large bays allocated for motorhomes. Toilets and large bins are handy here.

no overnight sleeping allowed or cooking!!

  • 1/5

  • 4/5

£9.00 for overnight parking but only 4 motorhome bays, which were taken. Thankfully I have a small campervan which fits in a standard bay, so stayed in one overnight. A few boy racers late evening, but quietened down. Toilets close by, and large bins which was handy.

  • 1/5

In 7mtr Motorhome all 4 designated bays full although there were plenty of empty spaces and we only wanted to look around the castle, the ENFORCEMENT officer said he would ticket us if we paid the £9 and used a non designated bay. He even had the cheek to tell use we could park at Tesco (multi storey)or Matalan (private for patrons)

  • 1/5

An excessive amount of no campervans signs up which look ugly & hostile!. Only a few allocated bays for campervans to pay for an overnight stop, hard luck if they are already taken as campsites are a drive out of the town. Go to Powys County, they allow free overnight stops in the council car parks or Gwynedd that are introducing Aires for campervans in Spring. Aber is filthy!

  • 3/5

Daytime parking only, no overnight allowed. Charge is now £7.50 for 24 hours, but the location is excellent, right on the seafront at the southerly end of town, by the castle.

  • 2/5

  • 1/5

We only wanted to walk around town maybe have something to eat and ice creams. Motorhomes must pay £6.50 for 24hrs minimum. But your not allowed to sleep in your van. Pointless. We left.

  • 1/5

Not allowed to overnight anymore signs up saying no overnight sleeping or cooking

  • 4/5

As others comments said there is sings saying the os not permitted cooking or sleep in the vehicle.

  • 4/5

Limited spaces. There are signs up now saying "sleeping & cooking in vehicles not permitted". We were advised the wardens not booking at current time but not sure how long this will last. Charge £7.50 24 hours. There is a bit of wave noise at high tide as car park is close to the sea wall.

  • 5/5

    Great, no issues. Lovely sunrise.

  • 4/5

Good location, no issues. Nov 2020

  • 5/5

Great facility but watched a woman empty her waste down the public toilet despite a large notice outside requesting her not to do so. She'll be the first to complain when the council ban overnight parking here for camper vans.

  • 5/5

Great location. All other reviews are pretty accurate. Superb while still free but becoming very popular with at least 15 campers staying overnight while we were there. Maybe arrive early to get good spot.

  • 5/5

4 designated motorhome spaces.. you can park at the south end of the harbour where there is more room to park 7 to 8m Van's, providing your in the white lines . if you are hanging over on the pavement you will be fined £60, I seen it happen.. and the local council have said if people continue to block the pavements and people cant social distance when passing, motorhomes will be banned

  • 5/5

Great place to stay. We are just out of season so although the dedicated bays were already taken up with 1 motorhome and 4 small converted vans we still managed to park in another bay. Free parking at the moment although would have been more than happy to pay for the privilege. Short walk into town with some nice pubs and restaurants. Unfortunately someone can’t read the signs and had disposed of their waste water down the side of the road which is just infuriating, we will loose places like this due to certain people’s selfishness. Please please use these spaces as designed to be used so that we can all come back. Great location.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last week.there are signs stating that it’s not a camp site but this is referring to not using the public toilets as a chemical toilet/brown water dumping facility ! There are camper/motor home bays (approx 5) for those with the larger size set up but if you have a small van Vw t’s ect you are fine in the other bays so long as you stay within the bay lines ! As always keep it clean and respect the rules and you will be fine Happy travels

  • 4/5

We’ve come down for the day.. there is sign now that makes reference to this ‘not being a camping facility’ . We had some issues trying to park and we’re told by the local lifeguards that they are ‘hot’ on parking restrictions at the moment it’s currently free to park in designated bays which aren’t very clearly marked. Still a beautiful spot, just be aware of where you park.

  • 4/5

Good location and currently free to park. Overnight allowed and there are 4 motorhome spaces but were all full so parked in main spaces and it was fine. Bit noisy at night due to 'boy racers' but seem to stop by 11pm. A good night's sleep!

  • 5/5

A brilliant location in the heart of Aberystwyth right on the Harbour wall overlooking the beautiful Irish Sea. Thought we would have difficulty finding a space due to the ideal location but not a problem and currently free to park which is amazing. Plenty of other campers around with the same idea, toilets open from 8:00am-9:30pm and a perfect nights sleep!

  • 5/5

Definitely recommend watching the sunset here! We stayed overnight and loved it however, if you like a peaceful setting maybe it's not for you especially at peak times. No bother from anyone and a few campers around so we felt very safe being new to van life.

  • 5/5

Great location. Stayed overnight. Free to park at the moment due to pandemic. Few boy racers at 10pm but they didn’t stay long. Toilets closed at about 9pm. Was quite windy but the sound of the waves and the bells on the boats in the harbour were really relaxing. Slept really well and great views at sunrise!

  • 5/5

Just as described. No boy racer trouble when we were there.

  • 5/5

Noisy at night with party-goers playing music and making bonfires on the beach. But slept soundly with earplugs. Nice to have toilets close by, though they weren’t opened until late morning. Beautiful views of the sea and cute little town to explore.

  • 5/5

Stayed Friday night for free as all pay & display machines covered up. A couple of motor homes, a campervan and a car sleeper also stayed the night. There was the odd boy racer but nothing troublesome, they just sped down, turned round and sped off again. Peaceful night but for the wind whipping through. Good place to stay and sunset is gorgeous.

  • 4/5

Stayed here overnight on the 23/02/2020. Free of charge this time of year. No issues from anyone and no other noise except the wind. Only downside is the toilets are locked over night.

  • 5/5

Stayed here on a Friday night and no boy racers around that I heard. safe enough to leave bike on the back of the motorhome whilst walking round town. highly recommended and will visit again. there is only 3 designated motorhome / caravan bays at the town end

  • 1/5

We stayed here last Xmas and was attacked by the kids that race there mum's cars will never stay here again

  • 5/5

Right by the sea and easy walk to town

  • 4/5

Perfect place to park to visit the town especially as free from beginning of November. Didn’t stay the night so unable to comment on that but be careful with directions on satnav as it tried to take us down a dead end.

  • 5/5

Fantastic place to stay, right by the sea. Best not to park toward the end of the key as in rough weather the waves crash right over! Free between November and March, £6.50/24hr between April and October. Close to town, lovely coastal walks in the area. Toilets open dawn till dusk. Some local traffic/people eating take aways, nothing too disturbing.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot by the sea, only £6.50 for 24 hours for a camper, they accept campers and caravans. All toilets are closed and inaccessible overnight, some noise from people meeting up in their cars, chatting, music and revving engines up until midnight on the Friday we stayed, Saturday night was quieter. Popular with motor homes and campers when we were there.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Most beautiful spot right on the beach front, bargain for £6.50 for 24hrs. Public toilets are very clean, outdoor shower also which is nice on a hot day. Toilets closed in the evening. We were only staying for a 1 night stopover but now we’re staying an extra night due to the gorgeous weather! The beach is your playground! We will definitely be returning!

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Brilliant location, right on the seafront. Public toilets are also at this end of the seafront and are OK (I hate using public toilets and they weren't bad). There were 5 campervans the night we stayed. Lots of people going to and from the harbour on foot and in cars, but it didn't disturb us. We even saw the porpoises! We sat and watched them for about an hour.

  • 4/5

Good park. Make sure to select the type of parking before tapping or inserting your card. I couldn't select so I just bought the Max parking and woke up to a £25 fine :(

  • 4/5

Free to park between 1st november and 28/9th feb. Nice views, parking between the marina and the sea. Restaurant. Toilets with drinking water tap open 9am-6pm. Free outdoor shower.
