As close to the centre as you can get for free and relatively quiet for how central it is. lots of cars do come and go during the evening and night however. nice views across the harbour with fishing boats coming and going often. under a ruined monastery within which locals do sleep. police are clearly not too bothered about campers staying overnight. lots of cyclists, pedestrians and runners come through in the morning.

Nous sommes passés hier soir mais on n'est pas resté, trop de voitures qui viennent tourner, peut être un bon coin, à voir. Nous sommes partis au parking Castellos.

Parking plat face au port sur le bord de l’Arade (choix entre sol en terre battu ou en enrobé). Nuit tranquille, quelques pêcheurs la journée.

It's ok for one night, as it is hard to find a better place in a city... not really nice, but as silent as it can be in a city like Portimao.
