  • 3/5

Probably a great place in good weather, but the gravel motorhome pitches are full of big puddles when it rains, and with 3 dogs that’s not good

  • 5/5

very good spot . black/grey waste and water refill . only 1 min walk from loch so good for paddle board or kyak. walks around loch and surrounding hills . play park beach and bbq areas . Will go again.

  • 3/5

  • 5/5

Excellent place for stopover on a community recreational loch in beautiful parklands. Great for kids. There’s a zip wire and amazing play park. Lots of oops for paddle boarding and swimming. Area for motor homes. Pay next morning if you arrived late. Toilets at the clubhouse. Would absolutely return!

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

    All was said before.

  • 4/5

  • 1/5

Didn’t appreciate the angry sign . At 16:45 there was no one around, the sign says to leave money in the red post at reception. This is over the other side of the park (black building) and not the building closest to the service point. Which isn’t very clear/obvious.

  • 4/5

Turned up no booking, the manager had already left at 15:32, but the really helpful cafe server, helped us, checking which pitches were available. We could have 22-25 but only 1-12 are posted (on hard standing some with electric ) so asked one of the other campers and she said it’s a bit disorganised at the moment, but just pitch up any where. CWD and water point behind sailing club, all very good able to fill motorhome tank. No grey water facility suspect you just drain on to the grass. Great for dog walking and water sports. Just using for an overnight but will pay before we leave in the morning

  • 5/5

Great stopover very peaceful night good services . Nice parking area for sitting out . Definitely will return

  • 5/5

Super lovely park with café and facilities. Great for a short stopover. We used the campers service area and paid £5 at the main reception. Paid £2 at the outdoor education and sport Center to shower. Really nice and helpful people there!

  • 5/5

  • 3/5

Quiet gravel patch. No grey water facilities only water fill up and toilet emptying. There are showers you can use between 8:30 - 9:30 and 3:30 - 4:30. They don't tell you this in the email they send.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay! Lots of things to do. The waste disposal and water facilities were available when we stayed at the weekend.

  • 2/5

stopped to use services as previous reviews say they are free, theres now a sign up saying people have been stealing etc and now costs £10 to fill up and empty which is a bit much.

  • 1/5

Basically a car park in bushes with numerous paths leading off it No lake view. No facilities other than black water disposal and fresh water. No grey water disposal. Toilets shut because of Queens funeral but half mile walk away, probably only open part time as in a cafe. Showers shut ditto but only available part time. We didn’t stay- went to the RSPB place 2 miles away.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for two nights. Lovely loch nearby and lots of paths to walk the dog. Only downside was the state that another camper had left the toilet waste disposal facility in! Please use this conscientiously and leave a donation to the park if you are only there to use the services.

  • 4/5

  • 3/5

The space for the motorhome itself is just a parking space with some electric, you don't see the lake. So 16P is too expensive. But the whole area is very nice.

  • 4/5

nice and quiet place, very busy around the lake

  • 5/5

Schöner ruhiger Platz am See.

  • 3/5

good place with a lake, playground, trails but our night wasn't calm at all! By far, the loudest place in Scotland we went! We stayed on a Saturday, there was loud music somewhere near, all night there was loud people crossing the camping site (don't know where they came from!) Didn't had much sleep. We came for the shower, but it is only open for 2 blocks of 1h/day and staff hadn't the same info

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night. Great spot, plenty of room with picnic tables, a fabulous lake that you can use for kayaking, paddleboarding if you have your own equipment or hire from the boathouse. Plenty of places to walk and cycle. Please note you need to book in advance, £12 non electric, £16 with electric which is a bargain as they ask for £10 to use water and chemical waste. Will be back!

  • 5/5

hard standing area for Motor homes. large green for dogs to exercise plus walks right beside it. the Loch is beautiful. there is electric hook up but you need to book that in advance. overall an excellent place to stay for the night.

  • 4/5

Good spot for stopover or day trip loads to see with children, lots of walks for dog around the park, free CDP and fresh water only missing grey waste disposal

  • 5/5

From Facebook “We are now taking bookings from motorhomes for the 2022 season starting from 1st April. There is a modest increase in fees this year at £12 per night and £16.00 for electric hook-up”

  • 5/5

Came here to use the waste facilities. GPS took me round the loch, which was closed midway down, so had to turn and come back round a different route. Facilities are behind the boat house. Lovely views, even though it’s raining, there’s even swans! Anyway, free to us, we’ll worth the stop off before going into Edinburgh.

  • 3/5

As on this day (16 November 2021) we were informed that the park for campervans to overnight is seasonal and closed since October. However after searching the premises we noticed that the fresh water tap and the cassette disposal is still available and free of charge. It's a nice place ashamed that is seasonal since the centre is open and with a working reception.

  • 5/5

Great stop, although we did struggle to find it! Need to take the left turn after the golf course and go past the car park, where there is a (unlocked) barrier to open, then large gravel area. Has x6 EHU (need to call to book) and space for maybe 10 vans. Level with large grass area to walk dogs.

  • 5/5

Great little stop over place, elsan , power and water if needed, lovely area to walk the dog in, guy at office really helpful and pleasant, very quiet too, i slept like a log. I shall certainly return

  • 4/5

Lovely place to stay very basic pitches but still good for a short stay. The post code did not send us straight to the parking area.

  • 4/5

Looked brilliant to stay at but unfortunately waste disposal out of order and we needed an elsan. Pleasant person advised us it was broken. Hope to visit when fixed.

  • 2/5

Stopped here to use their advertised waste disposal facilities to be greeted by a surly maintenance man who said it was shut. It was overflowing with human waste and blocked. Doubt it'll be open again anytime soon as he said he was refusing to fix it.

  • 5/5

Stayed here on 10/8/21, what a great find. Paid £10 for the night, no electricity as none available. Lovely walk around the water, watched the water sports. Great play park and beach area too.

  • 4/5

Brilliant and beautiful location. Toilers open during the day within sailing club next to site. Paid £10 for the night but can have electricity hook up for £12.50 a night. Huge grassy area for kids to play in within the motorhome area. Very good play park and walk within the park for kids. Only downside was the waste disposal faculties were out of order so we couldn’t empty the toilet/grey water.

  • 1/5

    Cassette disposal not in use.

  • 5/5

Absolutely delighted about our one night stay ! Had a whole field for ourselves. EHU (on hard standing pitch only) and water available too.

  • 5/5

Used the service point. it's to the right side, drive to the end as you enter car park. Red brick area.

  • 5/5

This is a great facility, we hired paddle boards and cycled round the loch. toilets during daytime hours and probably with post covid would be able to use showers in watersports facility. would definitely stay here again.

  • 5/5

Parking close to the Loch with a lovely circular walk around the Loch. Free during the day and access is allowed to fresh water and cassette toilet emptying. It's not easily found though! It's to the left of the Outdoor Education Centre before a set of large metal gates. We didn't stay overnight.

  • 5/5

Really pleased we found this. It’s £10/night (£2.50 extra for EHU). Has fresh water (slow but does the job) and grey water/toilet waste dump. Nice clean loos when the visitor centre is open. The moho area is a big patch of gravel, without views of the loch, but it’s got its own grassy area and is surrounded by trees so still a nice spot. Super-friendly welcome from the guy in the visitor centre! We spent a peaceful night here. Lovely walks around the loch.

  • 4/5

Huge flat car park for campers, just stopped for a few hours but there is electric hookup for a couple of campers.

  • 5/5

Lovely little cheap site. couple of electric hook ups. nice peaceful night.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night 2/10/20 it’s a lovely place, nice walks are ours the Loch which is home to ducks and swans, the Loch even has a sandy beach area! lovely play park for children too. It is £10 to park overnight and £12.50 with hook-up. We had a peaceful night and shall return again.

  • 5/5

Been several times now the pay area is great and has a great grass area or bays alongside loch can be very busy and not very private if you want a quiet place to chill last few times we went Along by the old train and pit monument was a lot quieter and was FREE!!!!

  • 5/5

Great place. Arrived late evening, already about 12 vans there but still plenty of space. Plenty to do, great to walk the dogs. Very relaxing, some noise late evening but peaceful night sleep. Highly recommended

  • 5/5

Great place for £10 per night or £12.50 with power. Have parked both sides of the loch and the far side grassed area ( no power) is very quiet at night having done this on a number of occasions

  • 5/5

Turned up late while everything was shut. Make sure you drive to the outdoor education centre as that’s where the motor home section is. Great for an overnight stay, they only accept cash. Quiet location to wake up to in the morning.

  • 2/5

Fab place for walking and cycling. Spoiled by loud music and joy riding around car park between 1am and 3am.

  • 3/5

  • 5/5

A large parking lot with lots of trees and hedges for privacy. Flat parking spaces. Quiet at night.
