Lovely spot quite and a great 4g signal few spaces with no passing cars at all.

Really quiet place to stay, it’s out of the way and I only had 3 cars come by the entire evening/night. There’s great phone 4G and a lovely view over Macclesfield and Tegg’s Noose. The only downside was a very nosey walker who came by at 6am trying to look in my windows.

Great nights sleep last night in storm Eunice. Really quite road, the views over Macclesfield were marred by clouds. We be back with my MTB soon as the lay-by is close to the tracks in to the forest.

At the bottom of the hill a sign says Not Suitable for Motor Vehicles. It’s quite narrow with hardly any turning spaces so if you do plan to drive up make sure you are driving nothing larger than a SWB van! Views only winter when trees have no foliage! You are better off at the pub or staying in the car larking spaces along the side of the Resevoir ?

Very quiet at night, busy when first light due to dog walkers and bikers. Recommend stopping here

Quiet road so slept very well. Popular with dog walkers. No bother from anyone. Woke up early and hiked through the forest up the bridleway, lovely walk, big trees.

Parked here for one night, very quiet road, up past the leather smithy pub. Keep driving till you get to the lay-by on your left. Level ground and great views for a quick stop over. Right next to the path to get up to the forest
