The Thimble Inn Pub motorhome stopover.

A lovely traditional country pub serving excellent food and local ale. My family and I were warmly welcomed by Kyle and Lloyd, and made comfortable by a huge log fire.

There is a large car park, fresh water is available and they said they had an electric hook-up although I did not try this.

it's free if you have a couple of drinks in the pub or eat there. it might be free if you don't - I didn't ask.

The surrounding area is a truly beautiful part of England rolling hills and small green fields. Many of the the villages are chocolate-box pretty. there are several interesting natural places such as Lulworth cove, Durdle Door and the Cerne Abbas giant.

Highly recommended.

Ruhiger Stellplatz auf dem Parkplatz des Restaurants. Sehr freundliches , junges Team. Enge Einfahrt für Mobile >7 Meter. Breitere Einfahrtmöglichkeit von der Restaurantseite her. ( Also in Bergabfahrt !!!) Spareribs und Burger zu empfehlen.

Great friendly country pub with space for 3 vans. Phoned ahead to book a table and to let them know we were staying in the van. Food was amazing and we felt very welcomed.

Lovely place and beautiful little village with nice surroundings. Closed Mondays and no stop over Sundays.

Friendly staff and simple process. We turned up adhoc, they allow 3 vans a night. We were the first to ask and all was good. Had a delicious dinner and a couple of pints. Highly recommend.

As a 'grumpy old git' I will find any excuse not to give a 5★ review and never have until now. Service was exemplary, food was magnificent, car park was clean, fairly flat and quiet except for the resident bird life. The pub is beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely walk along public footpaths in the morning. Will definitely visit again.

This was a rare find. A beautiful thatched pub with a large carpark. I rang ahead and was welcomed and asked to park at the bottom of the car park. On arrival we went inside for a drink and was greeted by a lovely lady that said we didn't need to eat or drink she was just happy to give us somewhere safe to park. Very quiet night in a safe environment. Will definitely go back.

Pub was gesloten vanaf zondagnamiddag en de maandag ook. Heb er heerlijk rustig geslapen. Was laat aangekomen omdat er in de buurt niks te vinden was of de plaats was afgesloten of verboden.

An exceptional find in a pretty village location. All the staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and freshly prepared and Jamie makes a mean Expresso Martini! Great selection of ales too. Carpark is flat enough and very quiet overnight once the pub is shut. The road is also quiet at night. We will be returning to this pub regularly!

Great little stop over for a couple of days recreation in Weymouth ( 20 minutes drive away) Friendly and speedy service for a delicious evening meal. Nice quiet spot at the far end of the carpark for a peaceful nights sleep. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent stopover. Emma-Jayne and Michal were very friendly. The food was excellent. We sat outside to eat as it is a beautiful evening. Car park fairly flat if you park horizontal. Pub was very busy so very popular with the locals. Staff friendly and helpful. Very quiet once everyone had left the car park. Would recommend.

Our first overnight experience, could only book a table for 5pm as they were fully booked I mentioned on phone we wanted to stay and it was no issue.. staff were super friendly and food and cider was incredible..they changed some bookings around and we managed to keep our table for as long as we wanted. Completely flat and super quiet, just the rattle of rain on the roof in this idyllic village setting made for the perfect night,we are only 40mins away so will make this a regular stop.

This is a fantastic stop for great beer and good food with very friendly staff. There are loads of good walks from here. The pub is dog friendly and has free WIFI. The pub is well set up for these COVID times and tables are well spaced.

We stopped here and asked the staff if we could stay the night. Staff were very friendly, we did have a couple of pints as it didn’t feel right to just stay and not give something back. Very quiet night. We also had our dogs with us.

Well. The most lovely hosts. A lovely big flat car park in a pretty country village pub. The food was really the best. Highly recommend the Pies. The puddings were also all made there by the chef and were to die for. Going back soon. A must visit even if you don’t stop over. Eat ! Yummy
