Parking spot in lay-by next to common land, sunset views over the river. I have not wild camped here but it’s on my way to work and I’ve seen a few motorhomes in the morning. Near three pubs, chip shop and a cafe up in Coltishall. Gets very busy when the sun shines. Leave no trace : )

lovely little spot, just off a main road but quiet at night and lovely views of the river. 2 lovely pubs 5 mins away and do yourself a favour and take a walk up to horstead Mill (10 mins) beautiful spot!

  • 5/5

Quiet little spot, just far enough off road to not be bothered by passing traffic. 2 pubs within walking distance. sunset views are amazing.

  • 5/5

Amazing place great pubs in walking distance.

A real treat! Perfect for van conversions, but anything wider will block the road. peaceful, undisturbed night. Go find Thoebolds Church, a beautiful romantic ruined church.

stayed here one night, was very warm so was very busy loads of locals with paddle boards which was good to see people out and about, the thing is that they left all the rubbish piled around the bin which is for boat use only.

Really lovely place! Pub is a very short walk away across the field. Super quiet during the night, can fish from the moor and the park up is straight onto the field (great for the dog!) - friendly locals.

lovely little spot to park up for the night great view of the river.and the pub is just a few steps away if you fancy a pub lunch. would recommend it to anyone for a stop over

Lovely place. No other vans here all night. Peaceful and no dog walkers in morning. Perfect stop over. Had dinner in kings head pub.

  • 5/5

nice spot by the river, put not far, has a big bin, was busy when we arrive midday Sunday, had great roast dinner at pub, then all traffic disappeared about 7, peaceful night.

We stay here last night, only one motorhome and us. Beautiful views to the river. Also could enjoy to see wild life in the river. Quiet till 7.30am ish. No toilets. A few good pubs around. Space for 4 or 5 campervans.

Lovely spot over looking common land, felt very safe. Two camper vans over night, bit tight for motorhomes. Had a lovely meal at the Rising Sun. No issue with locals or dog walkers all very friendly and chatty, well serviced with rubbish bins so easy to Leave no Trace.

    Lovely spot. Quiet, felt safe.

Was very busy (January) locals and dog walkers tutting and scowling made us feel a little uncomfortable. Two people walked into our mirrors by “accident”. Nearby road noise was not too bad. Did overnight but left early. Not level but didn’t bother us. Large Motorhome arrived after us and used the pavement to level themselves which we thought was inconsiderate to the walkers.

A lovely spot,I had a very peaceful night here, great sunset and a new coffee van has started here at weekends. a few dog walkers in the morning. I would come here again.

Brilliant spot! We’ve stayed here for 2 nights. It has a beautiful view of the river & 2 pubs a 3-4 min walk away (we think Kings Head is nicer than the Rising Sun, but the latter is by the river so has better views). There are also outdoor toilets by the pubs. Nobody else parked here this time of year, but locals have said it’s very busy during peak seasons. The road is relatively quiet at night.

Stayed here twice lovely view of the river, two pubs 4 min walk down the road with outdoor toilets will definitely stay again

Needed some where to overnight as working in the area. This fits the bill spot on.

This is a lovely spot, look over the village green onto the passing broad. The green and parking area is very busy during the day, but plan your passing in the evening or early morning and you will get a spot. We are local and see a campervan or two stopping here most days and have not known of any issues or complaints. We have stay here our selves and find it lovely to wake up and watch morning paddles going passed.

Nice little stopover nice view nice pub close with nice meals

  • 5/5

I can only repeat what others have said, it is a lovely spot overlooking the river, no overnight restrictions, can get busy during the day if the weather is good. But overall I would highly recommend this spot for a night or two

  • 4/5

Lovely spot. it was quiet when we arrived but I expect it gets very busy here on a sunny evening. Not advisable to park a large camper here but you can get away with it.

  • 5/5

Absolutley beautiful spot! Riverside and lovely pub very close. Get there early morning or late at night as gets busy through the day but very quiet in the evening. Public toilets next to the pub too

Lovely spot as described by other reviewers. Only camper here. Sat outside the camper when approached by a young PC asking how long we were staying as the police had had complaints about motorhomes blocking the road! Told him we stayed last night and were leaving this morning he said oh that's fine! My wife asked the PC if we were breaking any law stopping overnight, Oh no he said!

Me and my wife had a fantastic 2 days here. Meeting friendly campers both nights.. Lovely meal in the rising sun pub. Fishing was plentyful and a canoe ride along the river. Highly recommended and will be returning.

  • 5/5

Perfect place, free to park and great view. Busy on evening with people meeting on common but quiet by 9pm. 10 min walk to town where there are takeaways and shop.

  • 4/5

Absolutely full of cars and people enjoying the sunshine. Returned late afternoon and parked no problem. Lovely spot, really quiet overnight. You can hear some road noise from about 6am but not enough to wake you up. Would definitely use again.

  • 4/5

Lovery spot but very busy place. If you're lucky enough to find a spot, more than likely you'll be pinned in for the day. Best arriving early or late.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot with great views of the river and you can walk your dog on the common. Nice and quiet overnight. Two pubs a short walk across the common with toilets inbetween them.

  • 5/5

Great spot, we stayed a couple of nights with no problems. Quiet, pub nearby, river walks and bins

OK for the night. Very poor phone signal but hey leave it alone for a day. Room for maybe three vans and nice view across river. TV signal is very good. Going to Wroxam and catch bus into Norwich. Stayed overnight 18/07/2019.

Stayed here for 1 night in June 2019. Busy initially with dog walkers and people just enjoying the space. Boats moored up on the river. Lovely spot and short walk to 2 pubs which were next door to each other. Fully recommended
