Good overnight stopover on way north or south. Very close to A1 and signposted, so easy to get to. Excellent food and atmosphere. Very quiet night in carpark once pub closed.
Le White Swan Inn est un endroit idéal pour faire une halte si vous vous rendez au nord ou au sud par la route A1. La nourriture était très très bonne. Le propriétaire est heureux que les camping-cars passent la nuit si vous avez un verre ou deux à manger
The White Swan Inn is a great place to stop over if traveling north or south on the A1 road. The food was very very good. Owner is happy for RVs to stay overnight if you have a drink or two to eat

El White Swan Inn es un gran lugar para hacer una parada si viaja hacia el norte o el sur por la carretera A1. La comida estuvo muy buena. El propietario está feliz de que los vehículos recreativos se queden durante la noche si tiene una bebida o dos para comer
Il White Swan Inn è un ottimo posto dove fermarsi se si viaggia verso nord o sud sulla strada A1. Il cibo era molto buono. Il proprietario è felice che i camper pernottano se hai un drink o due da mangiare
De White Swan Inn is een geweldige plek om een tussenstop te maken als u over de A1 naar het noorden of zuiden reist. Het eten was heel erg goed. Eigenaar is blij dat campers overnachten als je een drankje of twee hebt om te eten

Campervans welcome as long as you eat in the pub. Food was amazing, not your usual pub grub, I had Duck £22 delicious, my husband had fish and chips £16 delicious and enormous. 3 real ales on. Only 4* as carpark not flat but fine with levellers. Advise you get there by 6pm otherwise you may struggle to get a space, although we were there on a Saturday night, probably less busy in the week.

Great host and excellent food! Complements to the chef! You’ll be asked to eat in in order stay over night, which we highly encourage. Pitches are perfect for a stayover on the way back home.

Schönes Restaurant, das einen Platz im Hof hinter dem Haus bietet. Man fragt einfach, ob man übernachten darf und isst was. Essen war lecker, die Gesellschaft später an der Bar auch. Komme gern wieder. Keine Services, einfach nur parken.
Overlandervario02/01/2023Good stop over, large carpark get there early as filled up with locals, Very nice and friendly staff in the pub, good tasty food generous portions gastro pub food at city prices cheapest main meal fish chips £16.

Great little stop over, friendly staff, great food and drink, just remind me not to go on bin empty day again!! 6am wake up call by a ton of bottles lol. Altogether a good stop over, defo be going back.

Great food for lunch at a reasonable price & lovely shaded area to park up at the back. Only downside is that you can’t really get anywhere without driving.

We was expecting a warm welcome from the feed back I've read but how wrong were we the barman was abrupt and rude we wasn't aloud to stay overnight even though there was room in the car park so we drank our drinks and left.
bastvan05/09/2020Lovely place, we arrived at 8pm. The owner said he’s normally happy for people to stop the night if they have some food but the restaurant was full so we had a few beers & stopped the night. Quite a few cars but after 9pm most people had left, there is ample room. Very quiet, no disturbance at all. 2 miles from here there is a 24hr cafe called Purdy lodge with food & toilets you can use. Great stop on way up to the NC500.

Lovely pub and nice quiet parking (a little bit of noise in the distance from the A1 but very minimal ). Food and beer at pub is excellent though not cheap. Really pretty area

Stopped here for one night. Landlord very friendly and happy for overnight if you spend a little bit in his very nice pub. The food was first class. Car park fairly level
