Great spot, awesome bike trails, quite. There were 6 other campers when we were here, all decent sized motorhomes and there was plenty of room. There is a sign saying they are trialing campervan staying and a qr code for feedback. It's a cracking spot.
Lovely walks, peaceful car park, no views in car park. Excellent for bikes, running and walking dog friendly
When looking for address use DG1 1QB and ae Forrest when entering drive past the first car park and shop etc, turn left, head up that track until it becomes a Y, and head to the left, that's the van zone, which is actually better than the visitor centre area. my WiFi dongle just about managed Netflix in this area. picnic benches available. excellent biking area.
Van/motor homes may overnight in the rear car park at the start of the forest trails, you can’t stay overnight in the parking next to the visitor centre. £3 to park for the day. A sign says the FC is trialling van over night parking and welcomes feed via their website (or QR code). No facilities overnight.
Free overnight camping £3 during day. toilets and showers available in main building, £2 for 5minutes. great bike shop and cafe....full English was lovely. WiFi available, everyone very friendly. nice and quiet through the night.
