Great little site, little bit different from your usual campsites. Very friendly. Serves great food. We stayed one night mid April while doing the NC500, hadn’t booked, but they kindly fitted us in to a space that is normally for tents.

  • 5/5

A fantastic little campsite. Owners are very accommodating and the food is phenomenal, also very reasonably priced. You can tell they put their heart and soul into the campsite, 100% will be returning

  • 5/5

Brilliant campsite, clean and friendly welcome.

  • 5/5

Small site with loads of room. Each pitch has its own little garden area. On a night, the surrounding trees are all lit in a variety of colours. It’s really nice. The site has a hippy feel to it, in a good way - friendly, relaxed, natural and with an emphasis on being eco-friendly. The communal areas are quirky and welcoming. All of the vans on site had dogs. We will return.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Excellent place to overnight. Owners have set out to be different from the norm and have achieved this.lots for children. Meals are takeout or sit on single decker bus which is quirky but inventive. Gem of a place to find.Dogs allowed.Waste water and fresh water .Shower and toilets Recommend you hunt them out and stay over.£25 van 2 people..Electric is £5. No charge for dogs or showers....

  • 5/5

A great campsite for all walks of life, extremely friendly staff that will help you out as much as they can, great for kids with games all around the campsite plus adults play giant games at the rear end of the campsite... we paid for one night in our Tentbox for two with electric at £22 and this was brilliant for us.. such a great campsite with more builds for there future plans..

  • 5/5

Fantastic wee site. Quirky with very friendly owners. Great food as well. Recommend booking in advance as is popular (for very good reason). Highly recommended

  • 5/5

Molt, molt recomanable.

  • 5/5

Campeggio meraviglioso, piccolo e molto ben curato! Siamo stati 2 notti

  • 5/5

Lovely family friendly site, great facilities & really helpful, brilliant little stop off on the NC500 would definitely recommend

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Just so lovely, wonderful people so genuine and open. We wished we could’ve stayed longer. If you are on the NC500 I would definitely stop here!

  • 5/5

Great quirky campsite with all the facilities you might need. Great takeaway too if you’re not in a cooking mood. You can eat in the bus or take to your van. Handy for John o’ Groats and ferries.

  • 5/5

Super netter Empfang. Eigentümer sind sehr herzlich. Grosse Stellplätze und mit Liebe gemacht.

  • 5/5

Stayed two nights during OrcaWatch. Handy views over the Pentland Firth! Friendly owners who were accommodating of our late arrival (A9 closed!). Toilets and showers clean. Booking system for showers simple. Didn’t sample the food and drink options. Owners were making further improvements to site during our stay.

  • 4/5

We paid £30 for a hard standing pitch with electric hookup for 2 people in a van. We called in the morning to book a space as this campsite is quite small with just a few pitches. Bathrooms are running on a booking system and are cleaned after each turn. Food available on site as well.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

we spent 2 nights here, very lovely campsite, great facilities, really good showers. they couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. very short walk to the ferry to Orkney, which is a great day trip. Do follow the NC500 to get to it, not sat nav as it takes you the back roads which are not campervan friendly. we will definitely go back.

  • 5/5

Wonderful little place!!! Lovely owners, very quirky little camp site with all you need, waste facilities, fresh water, showers and toilets. Also has electric hook up which is fab! We payed £30 for one night with a small camper :) very happy! Xx

  • 5/5

Lovely quirky site, very accommodating. We had a pit stop to empty waste and fill water. Very handy.

  • 5/5

Popped in for a shower and the people were so lovely and accommodating that we stayed for a coffee too. Recommend !! X

  • 5/5

We stopped here for a shower and we’re met with by the lovely host and paid £2.50 each. They’re big and clean shower rooms and we’ll worth the money.

  • 5/5

lovely spot. Very nice hard working owners. doesn't really look the same as in the pictures as they have done so much work. If you are feeling a bit lazy you need not cook as they serve breakfast dinner and tea in the on site cafe. Which is reasonably priced. £20 for vw camper for one night.

  • 5/5

A perceft place for a little rest stop, very clean and all set up thoughtfully and with love. The owners are extremly friendly, the food is great (banana pancakes!), freshly made and very reasonably priced. A clear recommendation to everyone who preferes a more familiar setting over a generic caravan park.

  • 5/5

Super friendly staff and this small camping site is very charming and quirky. just has a few pitch, so make sure you book in time.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Lovely little place! Great people and great food.

  • 5/5

Amazing Place, hosts were very welcoming, we didn’t book but I would advise booking we were lucky to turn up and get the last spot! Amazing lights around the trees in the evening, family run highly recommend:)

  • 5/5

We just stopped by for a shower. Friendly staff £2.50 per person for shower. Great shower, clean facilities. They made an old stagecoach bus into a seating area as well which looks cool.

  • 5/5

Friendly small pitch site/ stop over. Stayed for 1 night. £20 for pitch, water, showers, toilets, rubbish collection (including recycling!), grey waste. Quiet. Close to John O Groats. Family run. Cafe on site, would recommend!

  • 5/5

excellent stop. very unique friendly site

  • 5/5

A lovely warm welcome on arrival. Able to squeeze us in a day early. Really hot on the recycling which is great to see. Very COVID conscious around the allocation of shower rooms. Great pitches, great view, fantastic hosts. Even got a Christmas present from the team which is very welcome.

  • 5/5

Showers £2.50pp. Water refill only also £2.50. They have plugs in utilities room next to the showers. Popped in on the way to Pentland Ferry terminal, perfect.

  • 5/5

Amazing site - we only used the ‘Pit Stop’ facility and we can’t recommend it enough. Showers were great - you get assigned a bathroom. We topped up our water - as it was just a small 5l container they only charged us £2.50 (plus £2.50 each for showers). There’s a cafe, eco toiletries refill station and a forge making art which can be purchased. Very friendly & helpful staff.

  • 5/5

We tried to book a night here but they were full. we used their pitstop service instead for £7.50 and this did all our waste removal and refillable fresh water. the site looks amazing the staff are really friendly and we would definitely stay here in the future. there was a cafe on-site but we didn't use this.

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot. Offers all the facilities needed. We stopped to use the facilities, £7.50 for waste water, clean water and chemical toilets disposal. There's a cafe with barista coffee and we had a lunch box. Friendly staff, would definitely recommend staying here.

  • 5/5

Stopped for grey and black water emptying and water refill (£7.50) and a nice shower (£2.50 pp)

  • 5/5

    Lovely, friendly.Really recommended

  • 5/5

What a treat! Lovely, friendly folks who run the site. An on-site takeaway offers a small, but delicious selection of breakfast, sandwiches and evening meals. Showers are spotless and there’s a washing machine available too. I could easily have stayed longer, but we’d only just managed to get one night after a freak cancellation! Definitely worth booking in advance!

  • 5/5

Great Little Family Run site. The lady that runs it was super helpful and not a bad cook. Yes there was cafe type food which was perfect. We stopped off as COVID rules where lifting and they were well oraginised. Thank you for allowing us to use your site.

  • 5/5

Lovely friendly owner. Did a pit stop here for the essentials as they were fully booked for the night. The campsite looks lovely and would definitely look to booking when we are up this way again. Pit stop service is £7.50 for fresh water, grey water empty and toilet empty.

  • 5/5

Great find. Lovely family. Beautiful spot. 5 mins from ferry. 10 mins from John O’Groats

Stayed here for one night in a motorhome. Friendly staff, issued a 15 min shower time slot and can empty waste on site as well as wash up and laundry. Level parking with hook up. Very very very eco friendly.

  • 5/5

Very nice staff. Really nice facilities where you’re allocated a slot at a bathroom containing shower, loo and basin in a heated portacabin. Very eco friendly. Fires are permitted. There is chemical disposal and fresh water on site. They also have a washing machine and sell soaps. Good level spots all hard standing for vans. £15 no hookup.

  • 5/5

Really helpful people and a lovely looking campsite with a great Covid response. Even though they couldn't accommodate us, they welcomed a pit stop service for £5 which really helped us out at a time when many camps were closed or only accommodating self sufficient. Well done and good luck. x

  • 5/5

Fabulous owners... used the 'pit stop' service.. couldnt be more helpful, £5 - empty facilities, fill with fresh water etc. £2.50 for washing machine. highly recommended.

Great little campsite in a perfect stop for the NC500. Great hosts that live on site so late arrivals are all good with them. A must stop for lunch is The Stacks bistro in John O’groats, amazing food!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Perfect little camping. Off season and very bad weather, we were the only ones in there, but the staff was very nice and helpful. Convenient drying room with bread-toaster and electric kettle as well as a sink. Good amenities. (Might be small if full but couldn’t say for sure). Their homemade bread to order the night before was delicious.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop. The amenities and plots are well thought out and offered everything a traveller could possibly need and more. Lovely warm shower room! Thank you.

  • 5/5

Wunderbarer Platz. Wärmstens zu empfehlen. Sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und sauber. Service at it’s best.

  • 5/5

A recommander.
