Lovely place to stop and easy to find. Payment is contactless now and you pay per the amount of time you stay. I think I paid £1.50 for 2 hours. Beware there are some potholes in the first section of the car park- not big but go carefully! Will definitely go again in better weather to discover the river and local amenities.

Good Daytime only. New signs NO OVERNIGHT PARKING.

Great park up £3 a day barrier goes down at 9 pm so no silly kids with noisy radios, but you can get out when you like.

Really disappointing. Arrived at 5.30pm to find the barrier down and we had to reverse a 7m van onto a busy roundabout in rush hour, so far from ideal!

Great place to stay. We arrived late afternoon on a Saturday and there were 5 campers already there, although didn't get much busier. Plenty of spaces. Nice walk into town on path. Stayed 2 nights. Barrier comes down at dusk but no barrier on exit so can leave whenever. £3 ticket is up to 11.45pm so as long as buy a ticket first thing then all good. Sunday night we were 1 of only 2 campers.

Just spent the last 2 nights here, great place, 10 minutes walk along the river into Stratford upon Avon. Only us and one other motorhome both nights, very quiet, barrier goes down just before dark, nice and flat. Busy during the day, especially today (Sunday). Will definitely use again.

Great for a walk in to town. Bike hire at the bottom of the car park with a cafe. A few other campers here too. £3 for parking (machine wasn’t working so free tonight)

Stayed here for one night, flat, quiet and £3 nice walk into the town

Great place to park in Stratford! Very quiet, no other cars/vans parked overnight. The entrance gate closed around 9ish and raised around 5am. You can drive out at any time as there isn’t a gate on exit point. £3 for a day ticket until 23:45, we parked for 2 days and stayed over for 1 night. 10 min walk to town by the river.

25/08/2021. (mid week) Hymer 544 overnight in the car park with no problems, small amount of road noise early hours. Barrier went down at 9pm. and was back up at 5:30am. No warning signs for restrictions regarding overnighting. Easy walks into town or out along the river Avon.

Handy car park for visiting Stratford on Avon. We cycled to the town partly on greenway and then through a park by the river. Ticket cost £3 till midnight and we spent a quiet night by ourselves. No services. Not far to the lovely campsite by the racecourse.

Lovely spot, arrived early afternoon, a few spots left. Went to buy a ticket for the day but the ticket machine won't accept Google/Apple pay, only a card which I didn't have on me. Had to give someone the cash and they got me a ticket. Ticket expires at 23.45. We are moving on later as I'm unable to buy another ticket when expires. next time we are here I'll make sure I've got a card with me.

Lovely peaceful night here surrounded by birdsong, 3 other over nighters. Arrived early afternoon so paid £3 (card only) ticket valid til 23:45. Barrier went down around 21:00 and was up in the morning when I left around 7:30 but no issues with my ticket having expired. Runners and walkers started arriving from 6:30 but no bother. V pretty and easy walk into Stratford. The toilets in the RSC Gardens next to Holy Trinity church were open ( I last used then around 17:30) and clean. Had a walk up the path which takes you from the car park out of town alongside the racecourse and discovered there is a footpath around the racecourse itself too. For those on a budget looking for things to do in the area there is a public footpath running through the deer park at Charlecote Park about 10 minutes from this car park. Great stop, would definitely stay again.

Brilliant place to spend the night. Quiet, surrounded by nature and a short walk into town. The toilets near church were locked at night (or due to COVID maybe). We did pay when we arrived at 7:30 - £3 gives a ticket that expires at midnight and barrier went down around 9ish.

  • 4/5

Very quiet, plenty of space too. 10 minute walk into town along the riverbank.

  • 5/5

Great car park for walking, cycling and visiting the town centre. Nice and quiet with an entrance barrier that comes down during the night. Only £3 per full day. Short walk to very clean toilets in the RSC gardens near the church.

This is a great stop over place, arrived saturday afternoon, car park was busy, but didn't wait long for a space, our transit camper with scooter rack (6.5mtr) fit easily into the spaces nearest the entrance of the gravel car park, £3 upto 11.59pm, no signage for times or rules, over night, very peaceful night, WC avon park

Brilliant little place. Only 15 minutes walk into Stratford and that’s down the river:) fairly busy car park during the day but it was just us and another camper overnight. Although there is a barrier that went down about 21:00 that’s only over the entrance so you can exit anytime. Lovely walk and cycle hire from the end of the car park as well as a tea room in an old train carriage said to be opening from next weekend!

We had a very quiet night there last week (7 Feb). The barrier closed at about sunset and was up about sunrise but there's no indication of what the official times are. There's a very clean public toilet in the RSC gardens next to Holy Trinity church, about 15 minutes walk.
