(LD3 8YF) Brecon - Unnamed Road

Lovely little spot for a stopover, we stayed for 2 nights arriving between 6/7pm and left around 8am at the latest over a weekend. Quiet night with a few other respectful vans.

My partner and I stayed here for our first night of car camping. Lovely and quiet spot. We entered from the north end of the reservoir and found it was a little bumpy and narrow for her brand new Dacia Duster (an absolute beast!) if you’re in a camper-van, enter the car park from the south road. Poured down with rain however was a very peaceful sleep with a view more vans beside us.

Stayed here over the weekend (Fri/Sat nights), really quiet through the nights, a few walkers/fishermen throughout the day. Absolutely beautiful spot with great walks near by. No facilities near by, not even a bin. Stayed in a 7m long Motorhome, pick your route from the A40 because so roads are narrower than others. Will stop here again.

We were parked right next to the road, but safely in lay-by. Had a quiet night with only a couple of passing cars in the night. Good level spot. Weather was torrential early November but then woke up to lovely views. No phone signal where we stopped, but weak signal if you walk across the dam to by the house there - and we picked up 4G when walking around the north side of the water.

Visited today whilst in the area to check out parking for future weekend away. There were signs around saying there was work going on but we seen no visible signs over the weekend. Maybe the work is almost finished. No signs for no camping or sleeping overnight. No phone signal at all but we will definitely be back for a visit.

27ft Motorhome and 2 under 11's. We stopped here would of been ideal stop for the night, but Currently having building work done, No sign to say how long the work will go on for. No parking charges or restrictions on staying over at night. No phone connection or 4g here.

Stayed here on Saturday 15th May 2021. Super spot. 2 other vans there. Plenty of space to park. Beautiful views and nice walking. Odd bit of noise from cars driving past in the morning but not a problem. No phone signal at all though.

Very quiet, only 1 other van. Extremely peaceful.

Lots of space , fishermen were there late into the night and were around early the next morning but didn’t bother us :) . No signal but other than that a really nice quiet spot right by the reservoir (some traffic noise from people coming and going)

Fantastic and quiet place, with free space for 15 cars ish. Lovely walk around the lake, 9 miles of walk. We stayed here for 1 night. Relax!
