Parking à l’entrée de la réserve naturelle nationale, beaucoup plus calme que l’autre emplacement à l’autre bout de la réserve, à côté d’un petit chemin. Terrain bien plat, nombreux animaux alentours, pas de bruit, simplement des promeneurs et leurs chiens. Arriver par king rudding lane, par l’autre côté il s’agit d’une route en terre plus adaptée aux véhicules, et cela dérangerait les promeneurs.
Parking at the entrance of the National Nature Reserve, much quieter than the other location at the other end of the reserve, next to a small path. Pleasant ground, many animals around, no noise, just walkers and their dogs. To arrive by King Rudding Lane, on the other side it is a dirt road more adapted to the vehicles, and that would disturb the walkers.
Parken am Eingang zum nationalen Naturschutzgebiet, viel ruhiger als der andere Standort am anderen Ende des Naturschutzgebiets, neben einem kleinen Weg. Sehr flaches Land, viele Tiere herum, kein Lärm, nur Spaziergänger und ihre Hunde. Kommen Sie über die King Rudding Lane an, auf der anderen Seite ist es ein Feldweg, der besser für Fahrzeuge geeignet ist und Wanderer stören würde.

The carpark does have potholes but found a good level spot. Lots of nature so dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Busy spot for walkers in the morning. Locals seemed friendly and the chicken farm was not open on our visit. No facilities but lovely for nature spotting and walks. Take your wellies. Definitely return in the future.
No smell. Nice and quiet after 8 pm. Great walks.
Great spot for parking, but not for camping! There is a gigantic chickenfarm nearby and the smell is terrible. We drove straight to another parking place and could still smell the chickenpoo scent for hours in our camper.
Couldn’t deal with the smell so drove further down the road and parked there. Much better!
Super lieu très au calme pour passer la nuit. Terrain bien a plat. De belles ballades dans la réserve, nous avons croisé des chevaux et vaches en liberté, écureuils, oiseaux. Chiens autorisés en laisse.
Me and my partner stayed here for one night, it was quiet from around 7-8 pm with the occasional boy racer parking up for 5 mins. We cooked breakfast in the morning as it was still quiet and the car park started filling up around 9am
Stayed here one night. Fantastic place to stay and silent at night. Very close to York. There’s a slight whiff of chicken poo from the farm opposite but not unbearable. Also a test sight for fighter jets so can be loud in the morning. Lovely walks around the common. 10/10.
One of our go to spots when heading home. Very peaceful and nice surroundings.
Stayed here over night after 8pm nobody around Nice place for dog walking we will definitely come back space for 6 large campervans
Opposite a chicken farm and smelt awful. We had to move.
Dont turn left into industrial bit keep going you'll see a house on the right 100 yards more to car park. clean, quiet and very few cars. slept like lots. great walks.
Great spot for an overnight, good walks on the common, quiet after the dog walkers have gone home after 8, very peaceful nights sleep.
Fabulous stopover. no other vehicles after 9pm ish. could see cows, sheep, wild ponies and cows and bulls from the van. beware though the bulls and cows are right on the path if go for a walk. great place very quiet.
Driving back from Scotland and needed a secluded place to stop over - quiet and clean local walkers and beautiful surroundings. Drove into the industrial farm part and nearly missed it but so glad we didn’t! Thanks for other feedback or we wouldn’t have stopped x

Really enjoyed staying the night!! Had no issues. There were fellow campers, and the atmosphere was great. It was really quiet at night, and didn’t hear any noises until 8:30am from runners and dog walkers. The place was rather scenic too, it had lovely places to walk and take pictures in!
A lovely quiet place to stay. Down a single track road into what looks like a wood yard. Parking on left at entrance to Skipwith Common. Dogs on leads as it's a nature reserve.

Very quiet place to sleep. No noises even on a sunday morning until 9h30.
