awesome place you can hear the sea all night, ive got a xlwb van was a bit to big for the space but still stayed it was fine. Tescos short walk away. We got some nachos from local takeaway flipside they were lovely thoroughly recommend

  • 5/5

lovely little park up on the beach. was quiet with a few campers here. Tesco is literally behind the row of houses. free parking before April the 1st.

  • 5/5

Great park up for free with lovely walk but was sticking out into road a touch more than would have wanted but better than mounting curb as lots of walkers/runners.

  • 2/5

MWB sprinter sticking out felt like we were taking the mick so moved on

  • 5/5

Perfect free overnight winter park up. Very peaceful on a Friday night in February, little traffic and the sound of the waves in the background. Few other vans/motorhomes parked up along the same stretch. Locals all very friendly. Felt safe as a solo female.

  • 5/5

Thank you for this. Quiet spot in February by the sea. In our 7m we were lucky to have a blue badge and there are good parallel spots further up near the roundabout for blue badge holders.

  • 5/5

Great stay over Feb 24. Very quiet at night apart from one boy racer going by. There was a park run on in the morning so a lovely atmosphere. Lots of space and a couple other campers. A really good nights sleep.

  • 5/5

fantastic 2 winter nights spent here. very quiet at night and lots of room. free in winter day and night. would definitely come again in good weather as I imagine it could be interesting in a storm!

  • 5/5

As the last comment, free until next spring. Great spot and super quiet overnight considering right on the Esplanade. Invigorating walk along the sea front and around the very small and quiet town. Great place to unwind and watch the world go by.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot. Free between 31/10-01/04. No restrictions, free and quiet. Definitely would come back here again

  • 5/5

we stayed here last week it was lovely great parking for the night free from 6pm to 9am walked alone the beach and sat on the bench with a glass of wine and watched the sun go down . beautiful place and great stop over toilets fresh water and out door shower by the toilet block

  • 4/5

Nice town, friendly locals. The bays are a little small for long vehicles but you can overlap the path and still get a wheelchair or double pushchair passed. Toilets are a bit questionable but overall a positive experience and any calls to remove this location from the app from overly angry users should be ignored

  • 5/5

Stayed here for x2 nights but left through the day to visit sidmouth, toilets available at the far end of the beach along with the ability to fill up water bottles, there is a leisure centre behind Lidl for showers if required along with a big Tesco which is a 5 minute walk away, as always leave no trace and this gem of a place will hopefully be here for the foreseeable

  • 4/5

Good spot on the promenade car park. We stayed august bank holiday and had no disruptions. Free from 1800 - 0900. There’s a stretch of road opposite the kings arms/seaton cricket club we parked for free during these hours

  • 5/5

Great play to stay for a night. Right on the beach so perfect for cooking and a few other campers at night so felt safe for a solo trip. Toilets at the far right end of the beach with outdoor showers. Friendly locals who didn’t seem to mind!

  • 5/5

Fantastic place to stay. We pulled up about 18:00 and there was a couple vans. By about 21:00 there was around 20 Vans. Open the back doors to see the sea. Lots of benches the other sides of the wall so we cooked hot dogs and ate on the bench. Up early for a quick swim. Very quiet, can’t remember even hearing a car. Just the beautiful sound of the ocean

  • 5/5

Just a heads up, I live in Seaton and recently we’ve had inconsiderate people emptying waste water and even toilet waste in the flower beds, to the point where the local council are looking at banning overnight parking for motorhomes. I know it’s a minority, but they will ruin it for the rest of us.

  • 5/5

Great spot right on the sea, clean toilets and outdoor showers a short walk down the promenade, tap water available, cafes for breakfast in the morning. Quiet overnight

  • 4/5

Ein sehr schöner Platz mit einer toller Aussicht. Leider war unser Wohnmobil mit 6,5m zu lang und wir sind wieder gefahren. Ich denke bis 5,5m ist es gut möglich dort zu parken.

  • 5/5

Excellent stop, right on the seafront, short walk to town. Free 6pm to 9am. You can park closer to the esplanade but day time costs are higher. Tesco and trams are also close, new aldi coming soon.

  • 5/5

For a free park up with the location and views you would struggle to find one better, we stayed here with multiple different sizes of motorhomes. Evening and morning walk on the beach and tesco is just around the corner Incase toilets are locked. Thank you to the council for allowing this facility, we need the support for more parking places/aires like this!

  • 3/5

OK- but just felt like parking on the street - which we did know in advance, but just didn't do it for us. Sea wall blocked van from views a bit. As I said ok - but we didn't stay and went instead for an inland wooded stay.

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night and was perfect for a nights stay. Overlooked the sea and a lovely view to wake up too. Quiet at night and didn’t notice any noise during the night. Paid for four hours parking the next day and enjoyed a stroll along the esplanade and a swim. Well done Devon for this facility.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night. We're 7.5 metres, so parked horizontally across 3 bays, but between 6pm and 9am, there are no parking charges or restrictions, so it wasn't a problem. It was quite busy early doors with people fishing and enjoying the beach in the sun. Moved at 8am to Tesco for a couple of hours, to use loos and to do a bit of shopping. overall, a great stopover.

  • 3/5

Toilets were closed when we were here, but good overnight stop - spaces with sea view are echelon style spaces, with space to overhang over the pavement. There is parallel parking also available closer to the roundabout for longer vans (but not as nice a view!). Charges apply 9am-6pm with max 4h stay during these hours.

  • 2/5

Ich habe hier geparkt und gemerkt das die Plätze nur 6 Meter lang sind, somit passen nur kleinere Camper hier hin.

  • 4/5

Great night's sleep, quiet after 11ish on sat night.A few vans around.Plenty of places to eat and Tesco is just across the road.Parking charges have increased to £4 for 2hrs £8 for 4 but still free after 6

  • 4/5

Great place to stay. very quiet. right next to the beach. was totally dead over Easter no other vans about.

  • 5/5

Being new to the van life per say… This is a great little spot - opened the back of the vans doors up earlier to enjoy an awesome sunrise… Then heading for a costal path walk. Would certainly recommend this nice white flat spot to stay the night for free :)

  • 5/5

Fab spot for the night. Quiet, level, loads of space (in early April), looking out onto the water. Drinks on the beach then one in a pub, Started the next morning with a swim, and then just hung out for a few hours watching the waves and the world go by. Free overnight, paid £4 for 2 hours from 9am.

  • 5/5

Stayed 1 night for free at this time of year. large level spots (although we hung over onto the pavement). Quiet at night with bins nearby. perfect views of the beach and cliffside. Public toilets just a short walk away and Tesco behind that.

  • 5/5

Amazing! Quiet spot, woke to the sunrise, gorgeous location completely free at our time of stay and toilets open (just a bit of a trek to the other end) will be staying again, great experience!

  • 5/5

Parked here for the night. Parking was free as it was out of season. It was very quiet with only our Camper after about 9pm. There wasn't any restrictions for overnight sleeping . Beautiful view over the bay in the morning. Tesco a few mi uses walk away and open until midnight. Toilets in front if Tesco but locked at night.

  • 5/5

Lovely place to park for the night. No problems of anyone and the town is lovely. Vegan/dog friendly restaurants.

  • 5/5

Well done East Devon Council! Lovely spot on the front for an overnight. Free from October to April, very peaceful, great sea views. Bars, shops, toilets nearby. Perfect.

  • 5/5

Lovely stay here in late Jan. The spot is right on the beach, free and close to two toilet blocks and a water fountain. Also a two minute walk to big Tesco so plenty of amenities. One of the nicest spots we’ve stayed in!

  • 5/5

just spent two days and nights here. quiet and pleasant. only the odd fisherman returning to their cars at night. Tesco supermarket two 5 mins walk away. free parking all Day and night till 31st march.

  • 5/5

Free after 6pm but max 4 hour stay in the day which is now £8 cash or phone. Bays estate car size so not suitable for v large vehicles and locals are really not happy about those taking up 3 bays parking lengthways (though possible up the road by the toilet end). Great spot so let's behave responsibly to keep it.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot right on beach front. Lovely lady from houses behind even asked if I’d like to join her and friend for a swim.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for 2 nights. Quiet apart from the crashing waves. Great spot

  • 5/5

Lovely park up with excellent views. Nice little town. Did hear a local mention people in vans emptying buckets onto the street - please don't do this as it may jeopardise the future of this spot.

  • 5/5

Lovely park up. Free from 6pm till 9am. Yes, you have to pay during the day and max 4 hours, but ..not saying do this by any means…pay for 4 on app, pay for an hour at machine, then pay another 4 on app. Yes, sneaky I know, but it works. We’ve been here a couple of nights, bought food, been to Tesco’s, brecky at pebbles and had an Indian from monsoon. Absolutely love this quaint seaside town.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Free parking after 6pm and stayovers allowed. We stayed at the start of the road as closer to the public toilets and it was very quiet all night and still quiet at 9am. Frydays fish n chips were good highly recommended. Short walk to Tescos Great views nice walk either way. Tramline close also. Parking charges 9am till 6pm £3 for 3 hours Can't ask fir more really

  • 4/5

Easy to find, many spaces despite having been there at the peak of the season early August. Fantastic views on the beach and cliffs as well as easy access to the town's restaurants and a large tesco nearby. The women's public toilets were closed overnight, only men's were accessible for some unknown reason. It was relatively quiet with the occasional car driving by. Would recommend.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

we had a great experience here, its a reasonably busy park up by locals (friday night) and 5 or so other campers here, all along the road. Paid for 3 hours parking before 6pm (cost £3, max stay with paid parking is 4hrs). We ate lovely fish and chips in town. Be respectful and we can keep using this beautiful spot. If you don't mind noisy seagulls then it's a great stopover for the night.

  • 1/5

Will someone take this down from here the locals are not happy 20+ vans here now it’s absolutely not on, people using the local business’ toilets without buying anything, piss being tipped down the drains. This has to stop or it will get banned here too. No wonder there’s nowhere you can go now without getting hassle ffs

  • 3/5

Nice place along the road BUT, place are for car size. Still lot of CC parked but they are much too big and are or partly on the road or on the walking path / which is not very respectful. Will not last long before a No overnight if everybody keep on parking that way.

  • 4/5

Good spot apart from lack of nearby toilets

  • 5/5

paid for 2 hours parking 4 -6 pm then stayed the night. Lovely peaceful night please ensure your gray waste doesn't leak over the road like our neighbors did when they left , bins quite full and gulls trying to empty them

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Amazing place to stay. Free from 6pm. Loads of space. We stayed at the end by the yacht club which was dog friendly and great for her. Toilets not that close but in town :) loads of food places and a Tesco. Gorgeous view in the morning. Few fisherman and dog walkers in the evening and morning but generally nice and quiet. Few other campers. You have to pay again at 9am if you stay on past then.

  • 5/5

Stayed last night. Very quiet with sea view as is right by sea wall and beach. Free parking 6pm to 9am and overnight stay allowed. Bins available and toilets open in evening further down sea wall by roundabout. Council is progressive in allowing overnight stays, realising it brings trade into the town - we bought fish and chips from excellent chip shop and bought from Tesco (3 minute walk).

  • 4/5

Parking along the sea. Lovely and quiet in the night. What more can you ask for! Would stop off again

  • 4/5

Nice place, but not ideal having to move during the day to avoid paying. We found a quiet street leading to a small industrial estate near the front and stayed their instead. Nice walks east and west along the beach. Typical seaside town.........nothing wrong with that!

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight from 14th-15th April 2022. No issues. very good location. Quiet, right on the beach with shops and pubs nearby. Plenty of spaces for vans. Caravans would struggle due to orientation of spaces.

  • 4/5

Free stop next to sea wall and then beach. Quiet and felt safe. Great stop.

  • 5/5

Had a great stay. Lovely promenade and view to wake up to. Very open to the elements as on the seafront, so if forecast is bad will feel it full-force.

  • 5/5

We overnighted here. Free day and night during the winter. Parked lengthways as we were quite long and moved on early in the morning. Very empty come evening.

  • 4/5

bit windy but did really bother us like a cradle but only for a short while. Nice free overnight stay nice sunrise in morning looking over the pebbled beach. plenty food plus pubs in the area.only down fall whilst walking my dog. when someone came (I suspect local the way the dog knew the beach) let his dog do his business and left lt there. otherthan that I will be back

  • 5/5

lovely view to wake up to, quiet at night and no problems parking, fee other campers around. we stayed two nights and parked across three bays for the best view out of our side door. quick walk to public toilets, Tesco and cafes and pubs. really lovely place to stay

  • 4/5

Toilets open (November) numerous rubbish bins and free (unrestricted) sea front parking. Parked lengthways (3 bays) no problem. Plenty of spaces (midweek). Slight camber from road towards pavement. 3/4G. Responsible grey water discharge possible. Wonderful views. 5 mins walk to town centre, shops, cafes, restaurants, bars etc. Very quiet overnight. Slight traffic daylight hours. Thank you Seaton!

  • 5/5

On 5/8/21. Parked after 6pm and left before 9am as our motorhome took up two bays diagonally. No noise overnight. Great views across bay.

  • 4/5

Decent spot. Stayed overnight. Fab to be so close to the beach and slightly protected from the wind by the sea wall.

  • 5/5

Excellent place to stay for the night. We got there about 22.30 woke up in the morning fantastic views. Went for a walk along the beach locals very friendly. Recommend

  • 5/5

Loved it here, very quaint.. had a peaceful night sleep although under a street lamp! Gorgeous views in the morning and there's a toilet and outdoor shower on the beach a little further down.

  • 4/5

Nice spot overlooking water, close for beach walks. Spots are diagonal, length of an estate car. My van is a XL wheel base Iveco daily, I had to manoeuvre to be slightly overhanging the path way (but still passable). The roads quite wide so seems ok. The regulations on parking is 9am - 6pm paid parking (£1/hr, max 4hr) from Apr - Oct. Tesco around corner too.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, very pleasant. Few other motorhomes around, loads of room (the entire length of the beach parking area). felt safe. Nearby huge Tesco has toilets until midnight.

  • 5/5

Parked up overnight along the seafront now worries. Free parking after 8pm, quiet throughout the night, public toilets close by but closed overnight

  • 3/5

Functional but noisy and wall blocking view from the van.

  • 5/5

Great spot for us, stayed the night in a campervan without any issues. Beautiful and quiet all night on a Sunday evening. Not much open food wise so come prepared.

  • 5/5

Lovely a quit lovely views parking is free over night great first stop of our trip this weekend

  • 5/5

Lots of other campers on the road, beautiful view. Free parking overnight, no problem. Even locals are used to campers staying here :)

  • 5/5

Such beautiful views. Locals living opposite were very happy to come out and chat, accepting of us staying. But we did also have a little interference with racers coming at midnight revving their engines and laughing but otherwise was great. Free parking after 6 and no ‘no overnight’ signs. Quiet beach, lots of people fishing until 11pm. Great Indian Ragine with a very good vegan menu. Lovely museum with nice cafe 2 mins down the road and public toilets outside.

  • 3/5

Only small campervans which fit in the bay. Otherwise you stick out into the road.

  • 3/5

Stayed here on the 28th of October 2020. Lovely views and beautiful beach. Only one issue and that’s it seems to attract the boy racers who find it funny to make as much noise as possible. After about 10.30pm it all gets quiet again. I don’t think I would like to be here over the weekend when people are around a lot later than in the week.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot to park up for dinner. Parked up right by the water, great toilets nearby. Sat out for sunset and moved on to a nearby lay-by for the night. Although signs don’t say anything about overnight parking, we paid by the app which said there was a maximum of 4 hours. Could be fine but didn’t want to risk it!
