We found it’s a great spot to visit the city, right next to the historic center, for free and with toilets. The town doesn’t look great initially, but the remains of the castle and the free museum next to it are well worth a visit. If you want to eat or have a drink the bar right in the castle is great too, if you want to have a nice and cheap lunch with local specialties the pavilion cafe is really great too, with a nice terrace overlooking the river. Nice walks and hikes along 5he river too from this point. We didn’t sleep here, so we cannot tell about early traffic noise, but it might be in the further end it’s not so noticeable.
