Beautiful spot. Only managed to stay once, there is now "no camping" and "no overnight parking" signs up. :-(

Nice quiet place with views of the moors. We didn’t go in too far, didn’t pass the “flood warning” signs and parked up on the grassy bit. It rained for most of the evening, and in the morning we found that we were stuck in the mud. We tried in vain to put sticks under the tires to give the van traction, but to no avail. Luckily, a local with a truck passed by us on a morning walk and offered to come back and tow us out. Don’t know what we would have done without his help! Perhaps this is an okay place to stay if there isn’t rain in the forecast. Also: we tried to go to two of the closest restaurants and were refused service at one because it was full and at the other because it was after 8pm. Be sure you have food for the evening, because in the times of coronavirus, getting a spot at a restaurant is tricky!

Great secluded spot - we camped on a strong tide and didn’t go past the warning signs but instead up on the grass verge and all ok. Amazing sunrise and very quiet, just some dog walkers in the morning. Thornham lovely with a couple of pubs nearby and deli is open at 8am for scrummy breakfast and lovely coffee. Would highly recommend this spot

Beautiful scenery but whatever you do don’t park anywhere along the track/road or on the marsh around the small building known as the coal barn, as not only does it frequently flood on high tides, but the local English Nature warden will ask you to move, as apparently the land and track is covered by an SSSI that prohibits camping, overnight parking, and a whole host of other things.

Lovely view, small spot can fit a few small vans don’t park too far down as when the tide is in it floods. Very chill Undisturbed night

Bootiful spot, not very big area but stunning sunrise. Check for high tide heights, much above 7meters and the flat ground will flood.

Lovely place. Lots of (dog) walkers daytime. Nice walks on Coastal path. Pub/village 10/15 mins away. Had a local tell us we were parked on his land; another saying parking won't be allowed much longer, police will be patrolling, maybe prosecuting as it's an SSSI site and they're fed up with campers leaving rubbish. We left none, nor did we see any.

Nice spot track is very very bumpy now so if your in a low camper beware of bottoming out!

Absolutely stunning locating. Totally wild and wonderful.

We loved staying here. It was wild and open being a marsh and at the time we were there 45mph winds so we were in for a windy one. Its a beautiful place to relax with plenty of walks around it and a cosy pub called the lifeboat inn a 20 min walk away and a closer pub called the orange tree 5 minutes away, both happy to fill up our water containers. a mocha was 3.25 from the orange tree and 2.70 at the lifeboat which also had better ambience and comfier chairs. we came at the beginning of august and found lots of marsh samphire to eat for our dinner just next to the car parking space. thanks for recommending the spot.
