Day-time parking only but nice walks (about 30 mins into Salisbury). The nearby campsite allows you full use of facilities (including electric hook up) for £7.65 for up to 3 hours. Weekends are very busy with sports training so no parking spaces available

Nice place to spend the night ! There is a little noice from cars and dogs due it is a parking and a large park. So people walk there dogs pretty early (wich you can’t really complain about). Also there is a nice camping just behind the corner where you can empty your watertank/toilet and refill. Super friendly people ! Not far from the city centre.

I am both a user of park ups, but also work for the local Council. We have been happy to see respectful use of this car park as a park up, but recently it has been abused. One couple were thee for three weeks, were dumping their waste in the hedge and used the campsite facilities without permission or paying so they complained, sadly signs are soon going up to prohibit use.

Nice quiet nights stop within spitting distance of Old Sarum English Heritage site. Parked our 7m campervan in correct orientation not long way's, without any problem. Not sure why some vanlifers park across 3/4 parking bays. O2 and 3 mobile signal moderate. Would use again. Litter bin on site.

Fantastic place to stay. Dog walkers but very quite after dark. We have stayed here a few times. It’s also next the caravan and camping club which charge £8 to fill up with water, empty your waste and the cost also allows you to use the EHU for 3 hours and use showed etc.

I live in the area, motorhomes are parking long ways taking up 3 or 4 spaces. it will not be long before height barrier is put in or a no over night sign as appeared the other side of town please be considerate. it is a lovely spot. although week ends can be busy with football/ rugby. and occasionally an event.

Stayed 1 day and night 11th April to morning of the 12th, nice cycle into town along river Avon, go to gate at bottom of park turn left take 2nd right Hathaway close access to cycle path behind bungalows. Reasonable meals and beer at the old castle on road opposite old Sarum 5mins walk. A few dog walkers all very pleasant not very busy due to the high winds. Will use again as a stopover.

After visiting 2 sites in the area which we felt unsuitable, we arrived here and it is 3rd time lucky for sure. Very quiet site, one other van here when we arrived and a couple of cars. A pleasant 15 minute walk in to the City Centre for a lovely afternoon seeing what Salisbury has to offer followed by a lovely pot of vension in the “Haunch of Venison” pub washed down with a couple of choice local ales. We opted for the X4 bus back which leaves from Stand N in the main market square which only takes 5 minutes and drops you right outside the entrance (ask for Paul’s Dene stop). Would definitely recommend to others and no height restrictions and the crows aren’t that bad at all actually!

Brilliant spot ... peaceful ... FREE! Excellent for dog walking on Hudson field, old Sarum and pub in walking distance. Walk into Salisbury if you go down to Stratford sub castle estate and follow the river only a mile or so.

It is a superb spot; eiter for an afernoon rest or to spend a peaceful evening or spend the night. Not a camp, but parking has benches and tables to sit for dinner. Big lawn for sports which our dog adored. It is a rugby and walking area. We went to city by bike. No cows ! i see user i-hate-uk gave negative comments to all sourrounding places, fake profile?

Yeah great spot, if you like being woken up at 4am by a million crows all squawking repeatedly for 5 hours on the trot. Car park is also very busy. The only reason I didn't give it 1 star is it's quite a nice area! I am, however, leaving mildly traumatised.

Stayed on 2nd June - Jubilee BH. The camp site next door and the rugby club field were packed but in this delightful car park there just two motorhomes and cars coming and going. Great surface and great view of Old Sarum. Also excellent spot to walk into the City.

A great site, if there was a pub and toilets nearby it would score 5. Very slight slope but not a concern for me with a Land Rover and roof tent. Most importantly it was very quiet. Quite a few dog walkers in the evening and early morning. Only a few minutes walk to the local Co-op, and there was an ice cream van in the main car park during the evening.

Great spot, a lot of space. I had a very quiet night there. In front of a few football grounds, so on weekend they were a lot of cars, people coming to watch a match/training in early morning but everyone was very respectful for the Campervans people who were sleeping.

Great stop for the night, lovely view nice and quiet

Was a bit worried when a car drove into the car park with blaring music late evening but it didn’t last long so we had a peaceful night with a view of Old Sarum. The car park seems to be used mainly for dog walkers using the field between the car park & Old Sarum. Much nicer sleeping in the car park with all the space in the world rather than the campsite nearby where they seemed to be crammed in!

Stayed overnight Feb 2020, no problems, Police sat next to us for a while. Lots of dog walkers early and late. Probably full when Rugby or football matches are on.
