Beautiful place to stay in the forest. Quiet and peaceful! Toilets are portaloos but were fine. No bins at all, not even in the toilet! Beautiful waterfall walks around here.

  • 4/5

Great spot for a quiet night’s sleep in nature! The price has gone up to £5 per day (so £10 for overnight). Portaloos were clean, no signal, flat and very peaceful.

  • 5/5

Brilliant spot for the night £10 for an over night stay but we'll worth it. Not a sound with fantastic walks and cycles. Plenty of space.

  • 5/5

Great park-up, so quiet at night and some superb walks nearby. It's 3 quid per day, so 6 quid overnight (no camping behaviours). No bins or services. We got a slight signal on EE at the top of the car park.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Toilets available, huge car park. We had it to ourselves, nice and quiet. Make sure you know where you are heading next when leaving in the morning as no signal at all.

  • 4/5

Nice big car park - it was very busy but had lots of space. Portable toilets but no bins. Only 4 stars due to so many midges but that's to be expected in the forest! Beautiful walks by the river and wild swim spots my dog loved it. would stay again but maybe in the colder months to avoid midges

  • 4/5

Wanderparkplatz im Wald, Ausgangspunkt für schöne Wanderungen am nächsten Morgen, übermäßig viele Midges, leider kein Abfalleimer vorhanden.

  • 5/5

Great walk around some beautiful waterfalls £3 day £6 night coin or card peaceful night well done National trust for Scotland

  • 5/5

Toujours aussi sympa, toujours aussi calme… on reviendra avec plaisir !

  • 5/5

Tip top, 3 £ pour la journée et 6 £ pour dormir. Au milieu de la forêt et au départ de magnifiques randonnées.

  • 5/5

Can’t really fault this carpark. £3 for one day (so £6 if overnighting) Card / Coin machine and a helpful warden roving about during the day. Stunning walks straight from the carpark. You can do short or long loops, great bike trails too. Carpark is flat, no bins but there are portaloos should you need. Less than 5 minute walk to river with plenty of places to sit by to. Easy to find.

    Guter Wanderparkplatz, Übernachtung möglich

  • 4/5

Perfect, if you don’t need phone signal (and that’s what some of us escape from). Toilets not open while I’ve been there in January. Very quiet. Lovely walks. What more do you need?

  • 5/5

Super location, best so far on our tour. Getting to see the Milky Way was an unexpected bonus. The route here was one of the best. Beware of deer if driving at dusk, drive slowly. Various large car parks dotted in the trees. No phone Signal, but why would you need it, Such a peaceful spot. No services, so as always respect your surroundings. 10 out of 10 for locations.

  • 5/5

Always a great spot....portaloos are a bonus but the location itself is superb for walking, cycling or taking in the Caledonian forest. Busy but quiet in the evenings and most users are very respectful of the outdoors.

  • 3/5

Five star location with beautiful walks but only 3 stars because we were eaten alive by midges. £3 parking plenty of space for larger vans too!

  • 4/5

Haben hier eine Nacht gestanden. Sehr ruhig. Dixi Toiletten vor Ort. Ranger, hilft bei Wandertips....Sind am nächsten Tag , gewandert zum Bothy..schöne runde, tolle Landschaft. 24h 3£....

  • 5/5

Quiet, cheap, lots of very clean portaloos, no bins or services though. Lots of room, amazing drive over to reach this place. Bremear just down the road with shops and a caravan site for refilling water/ grey waste and showers for £5. River next to the site for a bracing dip if you feel brave!

11/02/22. Agree with other comments. Lovely, big, flat car park, with loads of space. £3 for 24 hours. Two of the three parking ticket machines were out of order, but we found one that worked! Lots of cars and a few vans parked overnight. Lovely walk along the river with the dog. Will definitely return.

  • 5/5

Great stopover, quiet night on gravel level surface. Paid £3 for 24hrs....bargain considering what you get here. Weekend was busy but overnight it quietens down a lot. The walk along the River Dee from the car park is amazing. We would definitely go back.

  • 4/5

Plenty of space to park up overnight but can get busy at weekends!

  • 4/5

£3 per day parking with toilets. Mostly flat gravel surface, narrow in places because of the trees. Quiet night sleep. Close to a few trails - the blue one is a nice walk along the river.

  • 4/5

Gravel parking in wooded area. Large multi sectional car park. Spoke to warden who said parking overnight is not a problem. £3 a day coin only parking machines. Linn o Dee very good with swimming spot 200m from car park

  • 4/5

Great location on the banks of the Dee. Lin of Dee car park can get very busy at weekends but good space for a night. as others have said there is a charge of £3 per day for parking (coins only) and no problems having a larger van parked up.

  • 4/5

Portable toilets only now, proper toilets are closed. Relatively big parking area in the trees with lots of walks starting from here. Can swim/bathe in the river just across the street. Very limited (if any) data signal here.
