Great pub with excellent local food. Owner managed. Permission to stay overnight in the car park provided you eat in the pub and report to the owner on arrival. Really pleasant experience in a great location on Dartmoor. Toilets open early. I was here last night and I have to say it's worth a stop. The food in the pub is fantastic and the car park is quiet and secluded.

Toller Pub mit ausgezeichnetem lokalen Essen. Besitzer verwaltet.

Lovely carpark and pub. Although I would stay in the village green carpark instead if you're on a budget as you are expected to order food/drink to stay overnight.

Stayed for a night, the land lady was a bit frosty and the food was expensive and just average really. Great location for Dartmoor

  • 4/5

Sehr ruhige Nacht gehabt.

I added this spot as it's one of my favourite pubs in the UK, and always enjoy a visit. The new owners are great and have carried the torch of hospitality and great food lit by the previous owners. May the goodness continue!!!

  • 5/5

Bought a meal each and a pint and happy to let us stay there. Toilets to use (though unsure if they were open over night). Reasonably flat, lovely and quiet. I would recommend this spot, I will certainly be back another time :)

Beautiful pub with a lovely garden, great food and local ales and cider. Really quiet car park and amazing stars.

  • 5/5

Lovely owner very friendly and happy to let you stay in the car park if you purchase a meal/drinks. There’s a camping field behind which is £5 per person per night which looks beautiful, will come back here another time. Highly recommend.

Toll!

Small quiet car park. Very sweet Devon pub with a lovely beer garden. Landlord was very accommodating and the facilities were open late/early.

  • 5/5

One of the best pubs on Dartmoor and a quiet place to overnight. Highly recommended.

  • 3/5

Visited here two weeks ago and it was fantastic, great food and generous portions. Had lunch and drinks and and then came back in the evening for drinks and chips. Came back yesterday and it appears the owner will only allow you to stay from now on if you have dinner, but not lunch. Only found this out after eating lunch and drinks. So had to move on.

Zeer rustige omgeving. Erg aanbevolen!

Extremely welcoming little civilized bend on the road. Rugglestone Inn is a great pub with sooo lovely food - their pies are top notch! The only downside is no wifi and no signal whatsoever. For data we had to walk up half of the hill above the Widecombe in Moor.

Called here by chance while looking for the nearby campsite which we couldn't find. didn't realise it was on the app. we left Cornwall a day early because it was too busy and thought we'd try Dartmoor, this pub stop was the highlight of the trip after the stress of Cornwall. food great, charming pub and every local we met in this area was friendly and helpful. I want to do a week in Dartmoor.

Stayed for a Friday night. Lovely food, quiet location, very friendly owners. Toilets open early

Stayed here is the last week of May on the way to Cornwall. With our 7.5m unit and three kids in tow, on the way to Cornwall. What a privilege to stay in the middle of Dartmoor. For £95 we had a meal and drinks for 5. Food is really fantastic, not the usual pub fayre. Amazing carpark, level in the middle, I would ring ahead out of courtesy, and probably get there early.

The Rugglestone Inn TQ13 7TF in Widecombe in the Moor on Dartmoor. Main course £14. Small meals £7. Pint £4.40. Three undercover tables with heaters and lots of tables with umbrellas. Excellent stopover. Must leave by 11 am

  • 5/5

Pub was actually closed due to bad weather so we were greatful to be able to stay in carpark in the van regardless (checked with the owner first!), toilets opened early which was a relief! looking forward to visiting the pub when open!

  • 5/5

Reviews say The Old Inn, but the name is The Rugglestone Inn. Nice food (especially the desserts!) and friendly enough staff as well as some adorable little lambs. Toilets are kept open all night but with no lights so bring a torch. We were the only van there that night but really nice flat place to stay and avoid the Dartmoor parking patrols.

  • 5/5

We stayed here for 1 night, no other vans. stopped for a few pints and some food. used the toilets before closing and before going back to the van. no wifi or phone signal/data at all. really lovely stop and a very friendly goat in the carpark.

  • 5/5

Stayed again at the Old Inn on Saturday night. Good food nice staff and free to stay if you eat with them. No facilities but there are facilities in the village. No phone signal or Wi-fi except in pub.

  • 5/5

Getting there in a largish motorhome is not for the feint hearted over the Moor on a windy day but well worth the trouble. Best to go via Bovey. Owners really friendly and beer and food were great. Lots of character and packed out. Book ahead !

  • 5/5

Really great overnight stop. The pub is The Old Inn in centre of village. Parking overnight is fine just let pub know. Good and staff great. Lots of lovely walks from village, cafes and facilities too so definitely worth a visit.
