Derwent-Stausee. Schöne ruhige Lage mit herrlichem Blick über den Stausee. Sie können den ganzen Weg (11 Meilen) radeln oder über den Damm gehen.

Lovely stop, booked online for £10 overnight and £5 for all day. We stayed 2 nights. Warden came round each night to check we were staying before closing the gates. One other van with us the first night but noone else the second night. Lots of birdlife, nice walks - only a mile or so to the main visitor centre. Three portaloos on site but no other facilities.
Lovely peaceful spot overlooking resevoir. Very quiet area with lots of wildlife. Paid the £10 overnight fee online as the machine wasn't working, not as an issue as phone signal is good. We were the only camper, but as the gates were shut at 6pm, it felt super safe. Would definitely stay again.
Nur Wohnmobile erlaubt! An sich ein schöner Platz zum übernachten. Wir zahlten auch die 10 Pfund allerdings kam um 8 Uhr der Ranger und schickte uns weg, da wir mit einem Dachzelt reisen und dort nur Abgeschlossene Wohnmobile gedultet werden. Wir mussten uns also um halb 9 abends noch einen neuen Platz suchen. Ärgerlich.
Lovely peaceful spot at a bargain price £10 for the night which can either be paid using the ticket machine or online through the website. Wardens came round at 8pm to close the gate and were really helpful and friendly.
A lovely place to spend the night. Walking or cycling around the reservoir and gates shut at 8:00 p.m. so once visitors gone really peaceful.
Fairly flat car park with sufficient room. Picnic benches very close by. There are three porta loos available on site. Paths are flat and enjoyable walks. Very friendly ranger. We will be coming back. £5 for all day parking and £10 overnight.
Great spot with picnic area, good signal and portaloo toilets. Very friendly warden came round later in the evening to check our ticket. Ticket machines are cash only so we bought ours from the tourist information centre (who wee also really helpful about where the best place to park for the night was to avoid teenagers!) No water sports allowed.
Beautiful views. £10.00 per night but if you need toilets park on the South dam car park.
Unlevel, not big enough for a large van. Great views & would probably be decent for a transporter. Left after a dog walk, paid £10.
Derwent water is beautiful, but we didn’t find a clear spot using this site. We opted for the Northumberland water car park instead. Not good for dogs, as need to be on leads at all times
