Hiking's parking at the end of the village South Cadbury. The paved area is surrounded by trees and serves as a starting point to reach the old settlement "Cadbury Castle" (about 1km - s.Photos). The old settlement is located on a hill, from where you have a very nice 360 ° panoramic view.

Small gravel car park with cattle grid entrance and no height restrictions. Plenty of space for or 7m MH. Cows are right next to it and lots of farming activity and friendly farmers which was lovely for kids. Smells of farm (doesn't bother us). We were the only ones overnight. Quite a few cars of walkers by 11am. Recommend Walking to Cadbury Castle, only 20 mins. Its a hill with panoramic views

Quiet night and pitch black! Next to a farm so a little smelly, but nothing to bad. Hiked up to the top of Cadbury castle, very beautiful views, takes around 15 mins and a steep climb, but worth it!

I went to 9 Castle Street. Wrong location, definitely not the place shown in the photos. I ended up in someone's private parking spot. Luckily I was only there to walk the dogs. Next time I will find the correct parking area and stay the night because the dog walking is lovely.

I can’t begin to explain how nice this spot is…next to a small working dairy farm, the farmer invited us to see his new day-old calves in the morning. We walked to Cadbury Castle (hill fort) which was a joy, the expansive view at the top is worth it. A restful night followed by an enjoyable day, perfect!

Ruhiger Wanderparkplatz an einem Bauernhof. Top für eine Nacht mit kleiner Wanderung zur ehemaligen Siedlung "Cadbury Castle".

  • 4/5

Parked up for the evening with no problems. A couple of vans already there but still plenty of space. It’s right next to a working farm, so expect a bit of noise, there is a bit of a slope and a big pothole just inside after the cattle grid.

  • 1/5

Not flat, very very busy, massive pot hole as you go in which can not be avoided, only for a camper nothing bigger

  • 5/5

    Beau parking au calme

One night stop over, arrived around 8:30 pm, a few cars (dog walkers) but no issue with parking. Got chatting to the friendly farmer in the morning who showed our son the cows. Nice walk up to Cadbury castle in the morning, we left the car park by 9.30am.

  • 4/5

Stayed one night. Ideal stop over on edge of village. Pub just half a mile away. Slight lean to one side. Single refuse bin but no other facilities. Next to working cattle farm with some noise (cows). Popular with local dog walkers so suggest leave reasonably early in order not to upset the locals. No prohibition notices. Would use again and recommend to others. Remember - leave no trace.

Stayed 1 night here as The Camelot Inn car park access was too narrow for our 6m Fiat Ducato van. The pub owners suggested this car park to us as a suitable alternative. Peaceful overnight then some light noise from the farm buildings adjoining the car park at about 7am. Would return. The owners of the Camelot are friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious.

Stayed here one night. Small rural car park set back from the B road on the outskirts of South Cadbury village, next to farm outbuildings. Very quiet spot. Two other vans overnight. Odd car passing on the road but no farm or animal noise at all.

  • 5/5

Stopped one night. Noise from the farm in the morning and the cows in the barn overnight, but not much of a problem for us. Car park is busy with walkers, but all pleasant enough. Bin at the gate.

  • 5/5

Lovely location - easy to get to and very quiet (the mooing is cute). The car park was empty when we arrived and full when we woke up (a walking group had met and rambled off

  • 5/5

Had a Tranquil evening & slept very well. Explored the Church & Fort nearby.

  • 4/5

Very quiet spot, apart from the cows opposite

  • 5/5

Parking umiejscowiony bezpośrednio przy farmie - czuć i słychać zwierzęta.Mimo wszystko jest bardzo przyjemnie.

  • 3/5

Arrived late , some cars and one other van. Very quiet night. Off to visit the castle this morning.

  • 4/5

We arrived at 8:30pm on our way to Cornwall. No other cars were here. Quiet and peaceful overlooking a field on one side and cows and calves on the other. Thanks to the previous comment, we looked out for the cattle grid. The car park is next to the farm and as you pull in, you go immediately to the right.

difficult to spot in the dark, use the placement on here, turn right over cattle grid. Amazing stars! Right next to cow barns which are lit all night but I didn't hear them and the blinds blocked out the light. couple of cars with quiet teen-agers arrived, no bother. The road next to it is surprising busy but if use this spot again. Thank you. Petrol 3 minutes down the road. Pub a short walk.

Arrived early in the morning, incredible stars, super silent ..around 3 other vans were here .great find ;)

  • 5/5

very good car park , very quiet night times , very good place to stay for poeple traveling to cornwall overall.

  • 5/5

this is a great find!.... as peaceful as the pictures suggest... Will need blocks if overnight as a little slope.

  • 4/5

Quiet (in Feb) spot next to farm sheds we saw but didnt hear cows. Slight incline but slept with head high so was fine. Very dark as no lighting. Nice walk up to old settlement of Cadbury Castle with good views. Short walk to Camelot pub with warm friendly welcome and nice food.

very quite only camper . lovely spot with plenty of room. walked to the pub. very friendly Emily was very chatty giving a warm welcome. highly recommend

  • 3/5

Great spot but I struggled sleeping as people are turning up very early and it's very popular. Right next to a cow farm too so lots of mooing during the day and night. Tbh that didn't bother me though.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Arrived around 5pm. One other van in the car park. Next to a farm, and only a short walk to the village. Views from Cadbury Castle are fantastic. No height barrier on entrance, although still only wide enough for campers. Bin on-site. O2 & Vodafone signal good enough to work remotely. Car park has a slight slope. Walkers & dog owners didn’t arrive until around 7:30/8am.

  • 5/5

Arrived at 18:30 - car park was empty, reasonably quite little spot. width of car park is not ideal for XLWB, but I parked length ways and had no problems.

  • 5/5

A great spot to stop over. We visited The Camelot while we was staying and was blown away by the hospitality. Debbie the owner is lovely and Emily runs the bar and front of house and never fails to make you feel warm and welcome. Gracie the Chef good is close to any Michelin star restaurant that I have visited in the past. Recommending is something I can do very easily and with confidence. A must

  • 4/5

Nice spot. Only van overnight. Scenic walk up to hill fort. Pub down road but closed on the Monday we were there. Next to a farm so lots of animal noises at night. Rubbish bin in carpark.

  • 5/5

Great little site for an overnight - get here about 6.30pm to avoid the dog walkers

  • 5/5

Very Clean and Tidy when we parked up for the night no traffic noise and parking is on a slight slope we found an empty car park and looking forward to waking up and walking up to the castle in the morning after breakfast.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night perfect & great walks & free

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stop and walk, I didn’t sleep the night but I went up the hill and cooked a lovely lunch. Cute cows right next door and had a nice chat with some locals. 27/11/20

  • 4/5

Handy place to stopover when passing on the A303. Nice spot, a slight slope and a little bit of farm noise early in the morning. Good dog walk up to the castle hill.

  • 5/5

Hatten hier eine Nacht im Auto verbraucht. Es war sehr ruhig. Haben im pub in dem dorf gegessen welches sehr lecker war. Für 1 Nacht definitiv zu empfehlen

  • 5/5

Great site, stopped here on the way to Cornwall. Car park was empty when I arrived at 18:00, had a few people turn up during the evening but soon emptied once the sun had gone down.

  • 5/5

Brilliant stop on way to West country just cows mooing from the farm next door rubbish bin here which is handy

  • 4/5

A quiet secluded site with room for loads. Farmers next door are friendly and the walk to Cadbury Castle is beautiful.

  • 5/5

Perfect for our 6m van. Only disturbance was from the cows in the barn next door.

  • 4/5

Manoeuvring a bit tight in a 8m long vehicle but we arrived at 8 pm 30 October to find car park empty, and it was still empty when we left at 10 am the next day, so no real space problems. Enjoyed a very quiet night next to farm and would definitely stop here again.

  • 4/5

Only suitable for smaller vans as the car park is only about 12mts wide. This makes it almost impossible for a larger van to turn round even with no other vehicles present. Quite at night.
