Fantastic spot, great beach, and plenty of room in February, not sure what it will be like in peak times.

  • 4/5

no longer an honesty box now a parking meter, £5 for 24hours but £10 for motorhome over night , I couldn't get motorhome selection to work so just paid £5. lovely spot nice and quiet two other vans parked up with us but still room for a few more

5 out of 5. The beach was beautiful and there was a bin ! Look there is nothing there but a bin BUT omg what a place to stop. We were sooooo lucky there was a small bit of blue in the sky and it was beautiful. Felt safe. The beach was amazing also

  • 4/5

Donation possible.

  • 5/5

Absolutely beautiful spot, felt very secure. Paid the invited donation. The beach is just lovely, even in winter. Very, very little car noise in February.

  • 5/5

Lovely dedicated park up. Quiet at night. Very close to the beach. Woke to find a herd of deer in the neighbouring field. Good 4g. Bins. Would recommend.

  • 5/5

Alles wie angegeben, £10 für 24h

  • 5/5

In august the sun will go down right in front of you, beautiful! Space is quite wanted. At the back of the parking lot there seem to be hiking possibilities. 2hrs £1, 4hrs £2, 12hrs £3 24hrs £5, overnight £10. Payment at a terminal. Accepts cards.

  • 5/5

Great place to park for the night. Space for about 6 vehicles with a free bay over the road for a couple of vehicles. We did get a ton of midges but just be inside before dusk to avoid. Lovely views. Great for swimming. Relatively quiet road throughout the night.

  • 5/5

Beautiful, quit and clean place to stay overnight and follow the sunset. We have been lucky and have seen five sea lions swimming close to the beach at the time of the sunset. The price is 3£ for 12 hours or 5£ for 24 hours.

  • 4/5

Nice spot with beach views, lovely walk over the road to the beach. Woodland walks behind the parking area. Nice and quiet and cost £5 to park overnight.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Brilliant view and access to the beach which is lovely at high tide and low tide equally. Tonight there are 6 campers and a couple of cars and two extra camper vans along the fence on the other side of the road. £10 donation is brilliant and well worth it we feel. Our second time here and love it! Quiet road and beautiful sunset 10/10

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Best beach to me. Was looking forward to coming again & it doesn’t disappoint. £10 for the night. Bargain! And there was a deer up in the hills behind us for ages. Chewing & watching the world go by. Perfect!

  • 5/5

An amazing location with the beach just across the road. A small gravel car park that you can pay to spend the night, although the sign does say it is optional. We had a great nights sleep here and a dip in the sea in the morning!

  • 4/5

Excellent quiet overnight with 5 other vans here. £10 for 24hrs a bargain. Beach a great place to walk especially if you have dogs with you but be careful the tide comes in quite quickly if you are distracted by the scenary. Bonus visit by 4 deer just as the darkness was falling.

  • 5/5

great spot beach was great dog loved it. no phone signal but quiet at night great overnight spot on the NC500 recommended.

  • 5/5

Favourite spot so far on nc500. Went for walk up to waterfall. Lovely beach other side of road. Picked up a lot of litter though which was surprising as there is bins here. Really is such a brilliant parkup.

  • 5/5

My favourite stop on the NC500. No one else was there for the night and I was able to blow up my paddleboard and go for a paddle round the bay the next morning (make sure you check tide times!). So peaceful and reasonably well protected from wind. £5 for 24 hours but £10 for motor homes.

  • 5/5

Superb location for a park up - right opposite a beautiful beach! The car park isn’t free, you are “invited” to pay to park. While we were there, neither the contactless nor the cash payments were working. There is a bin on site so please keep the area tidy. Would definitely be back when in this area

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great location for a good beach swim, seals in the evening when the tide was in. Would recommend checking the tide as when it is out it’s very shallow and you could be walking a long way to swim. Machine wasn’t working when we were there but a local resident said it’s a voluntary payment. 5/6 other vans that night but was quiet.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Dont be put off by pay machine!! £10 fee on the machine is suggested donation to help us resurface these areas and maintain beach access for you. Perfect spot for motorohomes. Nearest toilets are in Aultbea, please don't Poo on the beach! thanks

  • 4/5

Very nice. Caution, not free anymore. Pay 10£/night. Paying machine.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Quiet night nice beach.Lots of deer on the beach.

  • 4/5

Beautiful spot to overnight and wake up right on the beach (and to take a dip, if you can brave it!). Level ground with space for a few campers, bins available but that’s it.

  • 4/5

No Vodafone signal. Level parking, quiet at night. Nice beach to run the dog. Interesting info about Anthrax Island opposite where the Gov't tested an Anthrax bomb on the sheep there.

  • 5/5

Wonderful site right across from a beautiful beach. Waste bins but no other services. No O2 or TV but good EE signal. Flat with enough room for at least 8 vans if parked properly. Quiet bust during the day and fills up quickly for the night.

  • 5/5

Awesome beach side parking. No services but a great spot to chill out.

  • 4/5

Great spot. Wonderful beach which we had to ourselves. Level gravel parking area with several waste bins but no other facilities. Next to the main road but very quiet at night.

  • 5/5

Great spot. flat gravel parking. Epic views and just over the road through the gate, is a beautiful beach, perfect for a swim. There is a bin here but nothing else. Very quiet.

  • 5/5

Awesome off road parking on an amazing beach

  • 5/5

Great parking at side of road. Stayed one night. As said, busy throughout the day with locals walking and taking dogs to the beach. Great views but thick cloud and rain whilst we were here, quiet at night and had a good sleep. 4 Motorhome’s and a camper last night and could av got another couple on. Bins available so please use them. Leave no trace.

  • 5/5

Wild camped here on the grassy verge above the beach. Easy access to here from car park. Very quiet and clean. Beautiful beach, lovely spot for sunset.

  • 5/5

Great spot lovely beach but popular with both tourers and locals. No facilities apart from a bin.

  • 5/5

Excellent spot. was clean and tidy with people using the bin for rubbish. Good spot for walking/hiking base as well as access to beach. Stags were giving it laldy on the hills behind the car park...great to see. Road pretty quiet overnight. Pretty level ground so no need for levelling ramps.

  • 5/5

    Beautiful location.

  • 5/5

Nice spot. We collected some stones and made fire camp at the beach.

  • 5/5

Lovely place to sleep. A couple of bins there but overflowing. The beach is beautiful, I walked along it at sunset.

  • 5/5

Great spot, with fantastic sunset out to sea. Busy during day with cars but plenty of room for vans at night. Good place for watching Gannets dive bombing into the sea with sightings of seal in the bay.

  • 5/5

Great location, beach is lovely. We got the last spot when we arrived about 8pm on Sat. Some people were camping in the little area of grass. Plenty Midges around at carpark but not on beach.

  • 5/5

Free parking with bins just a short drive up from Mellon udrigle when that was full, parked for the night and camped on the beach just across the road two seconds from the car, amazinf sunset views. Got busier as the night went on but we arrived around 1830/1900 and had the pick of the spots.

  • 1/5

Smells of pish. Pile of burnt out camping chairs and plastic in a fire pit. Midgie hell. Rained a lot. Stepped in someone’s jobby getting oot the van. Minging. Got moved on by the polis. AVOID.

  • 5/5

Beautiful beach with lovely views. Free parking with bins.
