A nice and quiet HGV stop set in a country park. A toilet was available overnight and the cafe sells great food and coffee options for in the morning. The bird hide and sand lizard enclosure are worth a visit at this stop.

Easy to find and park… stopped for a few hours on a Monday afternoon… busy with various cars and lorries coming and going… no-one bothered me… didn’t go to the facilities that where there… will use it again one day…

Free parking overnight…Play park for kids....forest walks for dogs,,,, cafe for mother and public toilets…plenty of room but busy with Lorry’s during the week…. Not bad tv and phone signal … I’m on o2 and almost had full network with 4g…would of given 4 stars but I stayed on a Wednesday night and was busy with lorry’s coming an going… otherwise ideal for a quick overnighter

Close to the A31 but quiet. Level, lots of space. Stayed here last night and there were 2 campervans, a couple of large trucks and a few cars. There is a sign saying No Cars No caravans but no-one was checking. The café in Avoncroft Park was open this morning, but didn't try it out. The toilets were clean, had warm water and plenty of paper! A great place to stop overnight.

Great place to stop for the night.

  • 5/5

Good little stop over nice and quiet good kids play area walking just no 24h toilets Will stay again when this way

  • 4/5

attention, eau et toilettes inaccessible après 19h30

  • 4/5

used it during the day and it was a good spot. toilets were clean, cafe, benches and even a dog wash station. I decided to move on as in the evening, kids kept on using the parking area as a race track for their scooters.

  • 4/5

Yep, great little stop. Amazed it isn’t dogger central but long May it remain so. Perhaps the police take a turn through it at night but if so they didn’t bother any of the 3 MoHos parked up. No facilities other than toilet (which I don’t need as have one aboard) but peaceful and safe.

I intended to stay here before heading to the ferry. Sadly now two families of “travellers” have moved in. 6 dogs 5 kids 2 generators! Dogs barking endlessly. What a shame, was perfect apart from that.

  • 4/5

Great for an overnight stop. Spent one night here in early May, with a half-dozen HGVs and three other campervans. As noted, one toilet was open overnight. Truckers get an early start, of course, but reasonably quiet overnight.

  • 5/5

Original car park has a height barrier, this lorry park is next door and is free. Fine for overnight just park on the edges out the way. The nature reserve has toilets and bins, great walks all all free. Good 4G on EE

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet car park in wooded area. Only 3 other quiet campers here. Toilets available too. Great night stopover. Will use again *thumbs up*

  • 5/5

Good little stop over gets quite busy with trucks but still room for a few stealth campers as long as you don’t park in truck lanes

  • 5/5

Great place to park up overnight. I got there as staff were locking the gates. No issues with parking in the lorry park. 12 hours stay, no return within 8 hours. Fab place to walk the dogs. WC left unlocked overnight with full lighting. ATM and PAYG dog wash readily accessible

Solo female traveller in motorhome. parked up at 6pm last night. ,Was only one lorry here that left at about 2am, been the only one here since (but it is a bank holiday so not a normal day). Very quiet and felt very safe. Will use again and have added to my favourites. Did not use the toilet as have one on-board so cannot comment on that.

Stayed for 1 night in large Overlander vehicle. Great as a quick stopover, little busy with lorries but we weren’t disturbed. Just have to make sure you don’t park in the central area clearly for lorries.

  • 2/5

Very busy with trucks and plenty of signs clearly stating no cars/caravans, we didn’t risk it and drove on.

  • 5/5

I agree with the comments. Lovely spot. Great sleep. Considerate truckers. Thanks.

  • 5/5

Stay here often. At least 1 toilet is open 24 hrs a day. Lovely walks and play area. People do need to be more considerate to where they park though as mh/vans need to park around the outside so lorries have plenty of room to more around! Would hate to lose this stop..

  • 5/5

Avonheath country park - quiet leafy car park/truck stop next to pretty county park. Toilets open 8.30-6pm. Dog walking area. Rubbish bins. Theres a Gregs and Marks and Spencer garage on the roundabout, handy for snacks and coffees. Remember its supposed to be for trucks so be discreet and park courteously, dont use the big bays in the middle.

  • 4/5

Slept in beside the lorries for one night no problem. Was one toilet open all night the rest open at 8am. Lovely area. Drinking water but no shower as previously mentioned

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Didn’t stop over night, however used the facilities and they were lovely to freshen up!!

  • 5/5

Solo female camper parked up on Friday & Saturday consecutive nights with no issues. I parked at the side so the very large artic lorries had their own space. I felt very comfy and safe here. Facilities are very clean.

  • 4/5

Stayed the night no issues does get busy with the HGV's. a bit noisy and the truck drivers do get a bit funny with you being in there, not so subtlety mentioning it's 12hrs only to each other but then staying longer themselves.

  • 5/5

Off the beaten track and a great spot to stay the night, it does say no caravans however nothing about overnight sleeping. We stayed two nights but left around 8am and came back that evening. It is a truck stop so be courteous when you park. Don’t take up the big bays in the middle. There are clean toilets, bins and nice walks. Very safe

  • 4/5

Clean loos. was there 11 til 9 on a Saturday, no bother. nice woods to walk,/ride around.

  • 3/5

Stayed here on a Saturday night - it was fairly clear with about 6 motorhomes. came back on a Thursday night, arriving at about 9pm and it was completely full with HGVs (reasonable enough!) and so no room! choose your day/ night wisely

  • 5/5

Nice flat paved car park with large spaces. A very peaceful night spent here and right next to Avon Heath County Park. HGV lorries and Motorhome stopped her while we were here. Would come back again and use

  • 2/5

Would be nice, but they seem very pissed off if anyone but HGVs stay there.

  • 5/5

Brilliant place to stay the night in your Motorhome no height restrictions and park for the kids

  • 5/5

Everybody loves a free toilet. Decent tarmac area

  • 4/5

Great stop off. On tarmac hard standing and toilets and showers throughout the night available. Car hear the traffic but not too bad and you feel quite a way away.

  • 4/5

Well away from busy A31. HGV parking. Quiet night with 2 other motorhomes. Free clean toilets, drinking water on back of toilet block (no hose connection), huge adventure playground for children and great walking.

  • 3/5

No trouble last night. Stopped over in a T5 with poptop up. We heard lorries coming and going in the small hours but there were no chavs and no one trying to move us on. 3 stars only because, after all, it's a lorry Park, albeit with a good kids playground near by.

  • 4/5

Nice place to park for the night. Quiet. Is a truck stop but not many trucks, more campers :0)

  • 3/5

Stopped here 1 night on way to the isle of Purbeck as we were late and delayed due to traffic on A31. Several other caravans and motorhomes also parked up when we arrived so we felt safe. lots of room to park (in the lorry bit), it was very peaceful and we weren't disturbed all night. :)

  • 3/5

Park on the lorry part. Height barrier on main car park. Never had any problems there with our hymer. It's tolerated

  • 1/5

// Very calm. Perfect for 1 stop overnight.

  • 3/5

Parking pratique pour passer une nuit après une arrivée tardive du ferry à Poole. toilettes (propres) à proximité. un peu de passage néanmoins.
