Lovely views but parking is rather small. We did not park as it did not seem right too. GNR came at lunchtime but did not say anything but we did not stay the night anyway and moved on after taking in the view which is beautiful.

L'emplacement est magnifique (sur le côté droit en haut de l'étroit naturel du fleuve Tejo, appelé Portas de Ród o) spécialement au coucher et au lever du soleil. Aussi bon de regarder les étoiles! J'ai passé une nuit ici, bien. 1 inconvénient qu'il y a une mauvaise odeur. Le petit appartement gratuit P peut être occupé pendant l'été avec des voitures de touristes qui montent jusqu'au point de vue et à la vieille tour.
Location is beautiful (on right side top of Tejo river natural narrow, called Portas de Ródão, 220m just above river) specially during sunset and sunrise. Also good to watch stars! Spent one night here, fine. 1 disadvantage that there is a nasty stench. Small free flat P can be busy during Summertime with cars of tourists that climb till point of view and old tower; if so, wait on previous parking space. NOTE: on summertime and weekends, stop at previous identified place and walk 300m to see if space available, because road is flat but narrow even to cross with cars.
Die Lage ist wunderschön (auf der rechten Seite der natürlichen Enge des Flusses Tejo, Portas de Ródão genannt), besonders bei Sonnenuntergang und Sonnenaufgang. Auch gut, Sterne zu beobachten! Verbrachte eine Nacht hier, in Ordnung. 1 Nachteil, dass es einen üblen Gestank gibt. Kleine freie Wohnung P kann im Sommer mit Autos von Touristen beschäftigt sein, die bis zum Aussichtspunkt und alten Turm klettern.
Locatie is prachtig zeker tijdens zonsondergang en zonsopkomst. Een nacht hier geslapen, prima te doen. 1 nadeel dat er een nare stank hangt.

dapore9311/09/2023Acabamos de llegar, estamos solos y es muy tranquilo. Hemos llegado de noche y no podremos ver las vistas hasta por la mañana. Rodeado de naturaleza y 0 ruidos!
eelliba10/04/2023Sitio con impresionantes vistas y muy tranquilo. Tuvimos suerte de aparcar la autocaravana de 7,4m cuando se marchaba un coche de visitantes pero por la noche estábamos durmiendo solos. Los baños tienen papel y jabón pero el agua del lavabo no funciona. Nos marchamos pronto porque la carretera es estrecha y no queríamos coincidir con ningún vehículo de frente. Muy recomendable.

Preciosas vistas. Pero el vehículo se deja a 100m, cerca de la carretera de subida. Pasada la capilla a un par de mesas y bancos para comer, y una papelera. Y detrás de las mesas, unos servicios relativamente cuidados, aunque no tanto por los usuarios, y los grifos apenas dejan caer algo de agua. Mucho silencio a excepción de los trabajos forestales.
MargoP15/05/2022Super endroit pour passer une nuit au calme, entouré de la nature. Un peu de passage sur le parking en fin de journée par ceux qui viennent visiter la tour. Toilettes à proximité, très pratique. Le coucher de soleil sur la vallée était magnifique ! Un peu de vent pendant la nuit mais ça ne nous a pas dérangés.
Toroblanco01/05/2022Hemos dormido 1 noche, muy tranquilos. Por el día viene gente al mirador que hay para ver las Portas de Rodão. Muy buenas vistas del río Tajo y alrededores. Hay baños abiertos muy limpios y cuidados. No hemos notado el olor del que hablar de la papelera. Hay una pequeña zona de escalada deportiva allí cerca, unos 100 metros antes de llegar al parking.

es un sitio precioso para venir nosotros vinimos solo de pasada había 4 coches y aparcamos perfectamente a la 8 de la tarde ya no quedaba nadie. muy recomendable.

It’s the most extraordinary place here! You have to come! A beautiful old castle were you have a perfect view over the valley and it’s so close. Also beautiful birds of prey! I really really recommend! Will probably be very busy in summer and no place to park, but for off season it’s ideal!

Top ! vue magnifique, seul au monde. il y a même des toilettes sur le chemin vers la tour mais pas de possibilité d'y tirer de l'eau car trop loin du parking. C'est très propre !

Le site est superbe, la route est étroite et le parking plutôt petit. Peu d'odeur, juste un petit moment où ça sentait le choux très cuit, peut-être parce qu'il y avait beaucoup de vent ce soir là (belles rafales). Question toilettes, elles étaient inutilisables lors de notre passage.

Stiller Ort mit schöner Aussicht wunderbare Sitzplätze von der Gemeinde mit Toilettenhäuschen in der Nähe Empfehlenswert für Reisende, die Natur lieben und ihr nicht schaden mit ihrem Müll. Unsere Übernachtung war leise und problemlos.

En effet vue très belle mais affreuse odeur industrielle(souffre? ) . L odeur ignoble vient de la vallée derrière entreprise de cellulose do Tejo . Renseignement pris c est un gros problème dans ce coin et ils polluent aussi le Tage

Great place with an amazing view over the hilly landscape and the river Tajo, right on top of the Monumento Natural das Portas de Ródão where the Tajo breaks through a portal of rocks towering up above it. There's also an old tower that you can climb. The parking lot is not too large. There's another small space to park at the very street that leads to this spot, though.
