Stayed here last night. Although it’s called windy gap it has been a calm night only a few cars drove past but none stopped. amazing views of the Mournes and a great walk just turn left and head down the road 100 meters it's on your right. spotted 6 birds of prey. no bins or toilets.

Beautiful park up. Quite spot although very windy (aptly named ‘windy gap’) Picnic benches and near to lovely walks.

We stayed here overnight and it was the first night in our 4 week long vacation in Ireland that we didn’t feel safe. When we arrived the site was Nice and clean. But during the night ( a Friday night) lots of cars stopped by. This morning we woke up to a place with litter everywhere. Too bad. Wouldn’t recommand staying here overnight, at least not during the weekend.

Small paved parking, slightly slopping. Beautiful views! Close to the road and because it’s a viewpoint, there were few cars pulling in until late, but no music or anything funny. There is a cattle guard across the entrance and it’s pretty loud. Weak phone signal.

jolie vue mais quelques voitures viennent jusqu'en début de nuit

Quelques voitures y viennent en soirée mais ensuite nous étions seul. Très calme avec belle vue. Aucun service.

even on a slightly overcast evening the view is breathtaking. dozen cars drove past the entire time we were here. some stopped in car park and treated us to what passes as music for a few minutes ten left. check you're level, it's quite deceptive. but all is forgiven when you look right then left and there's an equally stunning view on the other side as well. this is what it's all about! Big yes

Très calme et très belle vue sur la vallée. Aucun problème durant la nuit. Peu de passage.

Beautiful spot-seems remote but isn't isolated.

What a find. This is called Windy Gap, a high position but views of even higher ( Mourne mountain range to South). It has picnic tables but no bin. There is a footpath 20 metres left of the viewpoint which is amazing. It’s a linear route unless you walk along hilly countryside roads at the end of it. Sheep surround you. Local farmers were friendly, told us of nearby caves too.
