Blocked off when there is an event on at Sophia Gardens, so maybe not suitable for use during events.
Parking dans le centre de Cardiff. Directement sur le Taff Trail, avec une belle promenade à travers le parc jusqu'au château et au centre-ville. Un peu encombré pendant la journée à cause des navetteurs, mais généralement vide le soir. Pour les camionnettes uniquement, car le virage est serré en bas. Idéal pour une soirée à Cardiff.
Cheeky little number for the center of Cardiff. Right on the Taff trail, with a nice walk through parklands to the castle and city center. A little busy during the day for commuter parking, but usually empty in the evenings. Campervan only, as turning at the bottom is tight. Great for a night out in Cardiff.
Parkplatz am Zentrum von Cardiff. Direkt am Taff Trail, mit einem schönen Spaziergang durch die Parklandschaft zum Schloss und Stadtzentrum. Tagsüber etwas voll wegen den Pendlern, aber normalerweise abends leer. Nur für Vans, da das Drehen unten eng ist. Großartig für einen Abend in Cardiff.

thelastpeach25/08/2022Great location but maybe this place has changed as we had a security guard come over saying that they’re locking the area for the night. Could stay in with it locked maybe, but didn’t test that myself

several signs saying don't leave valuables on display so possibly a site for burglary. we took precautions and the site itself was ideal for city centre. had no issues other than the closest toilets were closed at night. quiet nights sleep.

Blocked off today. Believe that it might have been due to events being held within the area. Best not to rely on this one if there are events in Cardiff

Wir haben hier eine ruhige Nacht auf dem hintersten Parkplatz verbracht. Dieser ist sehr lang, sodass man mit 6 Meter länge gut hinpasst. Über Tag sehr zugeparkt, kamen fast nicht mehr raus. Anreise also am besten Abends. Kurzer, schöner Spaziergang ins Stadtinnere. Allerdings 0,0 Empfang hier. Das freie WLAN funktioniert auch nicht wirklich.

Amazing spot. We spent the night here without any problem. It’s not perfect because there is no toilets BUT has WI-FI! And works perfectly. There is free wifi (TheCloud). Perfect walking for the park to the castle.
EVvan16/05/2021Great quiet spot, but no public toilets around. Close walk distance to the city centre. No sign saying parking prohibited. People park here to go to the park. Technically lots of parking lots alongside road just under stadium.

A decent enough place, only that I was woken up by a pretty loud generator sound that started at around 8 and didn't stop. Was on a working day, though. Otherwise, all good.
vanlifemermaid28/11/2020Tucked away behind a cricket stadium. Right on the entrance to a beautiful walk along the water. Beautiful nature, gorgeous bridges and a huge park just over the river. A few loud fellas coming past from the pub but nothing too crazy. I Would stay again!
