Stayed here for one night, one other van with me, very quiet and out of the way, few dog walkers in the morning, no fuss. easily stay here again when moving through the area.

  • 4/5

Good spot, I normally stay at the smaller one just up the road to avoid filling up the car park for walkers etc as a trail starts from here. Didn't have a choice this time though as the smaller one was full. This one is basically the same except you can hear the road opposite a little easier.

  • 4/5

Good spot near a riverside bridleway. Dog walkers, runners, cyclists and a couple of anglers in the evening and early morning but no issues with us staying there. Quite a bit of road noise from the other side of the river but otherwise quiet.

  • 5/5

Perfect secluded spot for the night. Quiet and just some runners and bikers passing by.

  • 5/5

Very quiet, level ground with space for 2 campers. Dog walkers, horse riders were around in the morning so slamming doors will wake you up - but nevertheless it's a beautiful spot in the middle of the forest, right next to the river. coffee with a view.

Quite place by the Wye. I would recommend only suitable for campervans with a max of 5m length and then please only stay one night. litter bin provided for only small items of rubbish (crisp packet or drink cans etc) not bags full of waste. Bear in mind this is actually a private carpark for the use of fishermen and walkers. Beautiful spot that would be such a shame if it was lost through abuse.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot. Stayed for 2 nights at the weekend. Friday night very quiet only us, Saturday night one other van. Lovely walks around Monmouth. Is a bit remote but waking up next to the river was worth it! One bin available no other facilities

  • 5/5

Great for a one nighter, couldn't hear the road, no complaints

  • 4/5

Don't be put off by the industrial estate. Nice and quiet at night, some noise from the road but it didn't bother us. Busy with dog walkers and runners from about 7am but friendly and quiet. Great jumping off point for family-friendly gravel cycle/walk. Path probably not wheelchair accessible esp in wet weather.

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight. Think this car park is for anglers and also used by dog walkers, but no one was there when we arrived in the evening. There is parking for about 3 vehicles - deep enough for our 7.3m camper. Good 4G on EE. Pretty level. Has a bin. Could hear some road noise but it didn’t keep us awake. Good for a dog walk. Single track road with passing places.

  • 4/5

Great spot with a nice walk. Has a bin. Signal worked fine on EE mobile router but not on phone signal. Noise from motorway that didn’t bother me or my son but it did my misses.

  • 4/5

Nice spot near to the river, some road noice from the A40 on the other bank but nothing to really bother us,1 bar 4g signal on virgin (Vodafone) 2 bars 4g on Tesco (O2)

  • 4/5

Bit of road noise from across the river, but otherwise great place to stop. nice walk nearby, plenty of space and wasn't bothered during the night or the following day. signal was ok too on 3 network.

  • 5/5

Lovely parking spot. Us and one other van were here overnight. A bit of road noise as the A40 is just over the river, but nothing that kept us awake. Would use this spot again.

  • 5/5

Nice spot, often busy, as popular with mountain bikers, dog walkers, fishing men. Good walking trail

  • 5/5

Our first ever night motorhoming and we absolutely loved it! Beautiful views of the river and quiet and secluded. Lay-by was level and fit our huge 7.5m van. Our kids are begging to go back already!

  • 5/5

Great spot, very pretty next to a river not a sound all night except the main road on the other side of the river (which any good camper knows dies down pretty soon and you zone out) no rude awakenings….no stress - bins on site - keep it clean and tidy x

  • 5/5

Beautiful place to park with a fantastic walk to the Biblins bridge along what used to be the railway line.

  • 4/5

Second stay here, nice out if the way park up. Phone signal a bit patchy and some noise from A40 but would recommend.

  • 5/5

Great park up. The car park was full when we arrived so we just pulled up in one of the large laybys down the road. No trouble at all. Very quiet at night. Great spot for dog walks.

  • 5/5

Great spot. The pinned bay was full when I arrived at 9:30pm but another 3 van bay is available. The traffic on the A40 was quite noticeable when I arrived but I hardly heard it once inside my campervan.

  • 4/5

Good little spot. Seemed a bit odd going through an industrial estate to get to it. Popular spot for fishermen in the eve and runners in the morning but had no problems.

  • 4/5

Great spot, close to lidl and Wye valley cycle path. Only minus is noise from the A road on others if the river

  • 4/5

Beautiful woodland lay by right by river. Cycle track passes by and lovely woodland path opposite. Saw three deer. Some road noise. Lidl nearby for morning breakfast run.

  • 4/5

Great spot out of the way, stayed one night, some traffic noise from the A40 thé other side of the river.

  • 4/5

Top spot. Quiet when we arrived Friday 5pm. Quiet overnight. Busy Saturday morning with cars of walkers, runners and bikers. Beautiful running route this morning. Great park up. Bin available

  • 5/5

Fantastic place to stop for a night. lovely view of the river. free to park. bit noisy with with main road running opposite beyond the river. stunning bluebell walk in woods at the end of April.

  • 5/5

Didn't overnight here, but a great spot to start walks from if you can get a place.

  • 4/5

Great spot for an overnight. Busy during the day with walkers and cyclists. Good Internet. Only downside is muffled noise from the A40 on the other side of the river which didn't bother us.

  • 5/5

Awesome spot, oak trees! river swimming?? I didn’t due to it looking murky, had some heavy winds recently, probably clearer otherwise.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot for the night (space for 4 vehicles), could hear the A40 in the distance but didn't keep us awake. we had it to ourselves. (Lidl parking for access into Monmouth worked well). Beautiful walk... car park got busy at 9am.

  • 5/5

Small little park up off quiet road , u can see the river and some nice walking routes just off park up place !

  • 5/5

Great place to stop, at the start of a lovely flat walk to Symonds Yat and the Biblins. Plenty of spots along this stretch of road and no restrictions.
