Langdon Brook, outside Dunsop Bridge

Theres plenty of laybys, big and small, along this road. some have signs saying no camping, but plenty dont.
beautiful place along the river bank. very quiet. no amenities. sun sets on you late in the evening then comes up on you in the morning.
love it here.

Great spot. Lovely views, fun for the dog watching the sheep out of the window. No facilities apart from a bin as such but reception on the telly and the phones with a lovely walk in to the hills nearby. Shame there were signs of a fire being lit nearby. Please respect these places else they'll be "No Camping" signs popping up. Would stop again.

Excellent quiet site Road narrow twisty & steep in places. No services it's a few hundred yards further on than Google maps location.. Another larger site about half mile before this one. it had 3 vans already parked up but plenty of room for more I was only the van at the smaller quieter site. My 3 phone signal worked fine.

Beautiful setting next to the river which you could hear babbling in the background. We were fortunate to have a clear evening and amazing stars. It's worth noting the road is a little narrow and windy to get there but nothing our Peugeot Boxer couldn't handle. Several places you can stop along this route. We'd highly recommend!

This place is a great little over night stay. The previous reviews helped us choose and it did not disappoint. Lovely little stream right next to the lay-by and plenty of good walks around. Another van came around tea time and stayed aswell, there was a couple more vans in the lay-by behind. All in all extremely quiet, no phone signal on O2 but That’s fine with me. Would visit again.

This was our first night out in the van and we struck gold. Big thanks to previous reviews as it was just as described. We parked up with a view of a bubbly stream that we could hear from the van. Only one fellow overnighter there. The two daytime visitors left as it started to darken. It was perfectly peaceful with only a few passing cars overnight.

Beautiful spot, very quiet over night. Stream running by and bins for rubbish.

We loved this spot. Great sunset and rise. Lots of space and pretty quiet.

Vehicle: Rooftent car Stay: Saturday night Mobile signal: EE only Were we disturbed by anyone: no Traffic: <10 cars the whole time Amenities: none, Dunsop Bridge short drive away has a public toilet (limited opening hours) Location: just a few meters down the road from where this spot is listed. There are multiple options in this route.

We stopped in one of these lay-bys, fit our LWB sprinter fine. Had perfect signal on 3 and vodaphone but 20 metres away we didn’t do it was pot luck we picked the right lay by. I will say it was a horrible drizzly rain overcast day/night and was still one of the most lovely places we’ve stayed so far so I can only imagine how heavenly it is on a sunny day. We were right near the stream and had a paddle, and only a few cars pass in the evening.

Stopped on this lay-by for 1 night, there was just one other van but pleantly of space, really quite. stopped in this lay-by purely because the others I passed I couldn't get a phone signal. No signs on this one either and pleantly of room to pull away from the road.

Very nice spots along the road and yes good 4G with EE but no signal with Vodafone

There are many places to stop in this route. We stopped near the bottom of a hill before it twisted up. It was lovely and quiet and the walks from here were gorgeous. The only downside was no Vodafone or 3 signal. Which was fine for a night.

Great spot. Slightly passed where it's pin pointed mind. Open space so had to turn the van to block the wind. Pretty little place.

Lovely place to stop. Spent 1 quiet, undisturbed night here 09/20. Great views. If you need pubs there are none within walking distance. Closest is The Inn At Whitewell, which is better known as a restaurant and a little under 3 miles drive. Great food van for breakfast a little further north up this single track road too. Dunsop Bridge has a post-office, tea room and public WCs.

Stayed 1 night, nice and quiet not too many vehicles passed. Someone must have stayed before us and had a fire so we made use of the left over wood and stone surround. Know one bothered us. will definatly be back, lovely nights sleep

Wonderful experience stunning views and 4G on EE no problem.

If you're happy to pull over, park up and take in the views for a few hours, the Trough of Bowland is well worth a visit. Great as a base for walking. This road to Lancaster can get narrow and windy further on so wouldn't advise larger than a medium motorhome.
