I love this place. Literally park right next to the beach. Kick those doors open at sun rise and enjoy. Never had hassle from parking inspectors though they do appear quite early to check if you have a ticket. Was expecting them to ask us to move on but seemed happy to let us stay

our first visit here and yes it was quiet with it being a rainy day in December but we loved it. eating breakfast in our campervan looking out on the sea. The summer here I'm guessing would be very busy. parking charges are £4 for over two hours so can't complain at that. officially no over night parking. cafe at entrance. lovely beach. If you like to chill out we would recommend this place.

  • 1/5

Avoid if longer than 6 metres. We’re 6.9 and parking wardens measured our vehicle and asked us to move on. Would have been useful to have had a sign saying this at start of access road. Very disappointing as excellent spot right on beach with amazing views.

  • 5/5

Excellent daytime parkup, you literally couldn't park closer to the beach, charges until 5pm, £4 for the whole day, then free 5 til 10pm but strict on tickets, pay by card or on app only - no cash option. Cafe on site is very nice too.

used to be free , could stay overnight and camp on the beach, now fun police patrol constantly fining everyone. wonderful beach and car park in the middle of nowhere. it must cost more to run than they get back. could be an overnight money maker , shame.

I arrived in my 6mtr hymer the parking boffins measures my van and said its 300mm to long and asked me to leave I refused and got a fine what's next no standing on the sand.

  • 1/5

No parking for any vehicle over 6 metres. parking enforcement officers came with a tape measure and measured the van. we were asked to leave.

  • 4/5

No overnight parking which is enforced strictly. Pay by phone parking, no machine stupidly. Signal is poor so won't work on all networks to the dismay of people trying to park. O2 does work though. This is also enforced hourly! Apart from that the beach is lovely and dog friendly. Our van is just over 6 metres and parked fine.

Major sea defence work going on here May 2022. At least half the parking space is closed off, but there may well have been a couple of vans over 6m parked up at 8am. Not sure if they or any of the smaller vans had parked overnight, an official looking fellah was just arriving in his official looking pickup. Still a nice spot.

  • 3/5

Nice to park up on the beach without any height barriers. Parking isn’t free, you have to pay via an app. Not much more to say really, nothing special about it, it’s in the middle of nowhere and roads to it aren’t great.

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet spot right on sea front. No overnight parking sign. Pay by app £1 per hour but the app could not identify the spot by location or code. Only 4 stars because it is not an overnight park up.

  • 5/5

Such a beautiful quite spot to park up unfortunately as from tomorrow 16/11/2021 double yellow lines are being put in both sides of the main road leading up to the beach terrace car park so no longer able to sleep over

REGULATIONS CHANGING FROM 1ST NOVEMBER 2021 Due to people parking sideways and no doubt the local councillor not getting enough trade on his nearby site, the council is banning all vehicles over 6.0m in length from using the car parks along this stretch AT ANY TIME. So if your vehicle is greater than 6.0m you will not be able to park at any beach sites from 1st Nov. without risking a £70 fine.

Great clean all day parking. Friendly people. We got there at 7am and it appeared campers had been there all night. I don’t know if the rules have changed but it was a few different groups on each side of the divide.

  • 3/5

Great spot but it says no overnight parking

  • 4/5

Fantastic free day parking ... Only one camper parked sideways so people must be taking note ... this really is a wonderful place to spend the day so enjoy :)

  • 4/5

Great parking at the beach, about 50 parking spaces. there's 'no parking between 10pm- 6am' sign we left at 9.45pm returned at 6.30am. The problem is moho and vans parking sideways (counted 8 at one point) using 3 or 4 spaces, It was a busy day and lots of people couldn't park. Apparently the council have had complaints and looking at installing height barriers which would be a shame.

  • 5/5

Great, big, free, flat car park, day time only. For overnight we used The Shambles, 3 mins walk from here. £10 per motohome, has water, picnic tables, nice grounds, £5elsan point. no ehu, but great spot for motorhomes.

  • 5/5

Nice sandy beach. Signs saying “no overnight parking”. Some construction work on the beach from 8am.

  • 5/5

Spent my birthday here earlier in the year. Lovely sunset on my birthday morning. We’ll be coming back for sure

  • 5/5

What a place. It does say no overnight stays and there is a security guard but he didn’t say anything to us, even said hello in the morning.

  • 4/5

Great location. Height barriers in place and entrance ha a massive ramp so you can't see what's coming the other way. Also some larger motorhomes park length ways towards the beach so take up 3 spaces rather than front or rear facing the beach. The slip road is also quite bumpy with potholes so be careful some are quite large.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for 2 nights with no problem at all. well worth a visit

  • 5/5

Loved this spot, arrived at 10.30 pm.spent night and half of next day here.no problems.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot right on the beach! Fairly busy but plenty of space. In the morning we did all have warning notes but not a proper tickets. Also note that in some spots there is a lot of sand on the carpark so don't get stuck!

  • 5/5

This is our 3rd visit and still never disappointed. Toilets out of action atm but we have our own. Lovely walks, right on beach. Please note on getting up we and all vans had tickets!!

  • 5/5

Have to say one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to! Dog friendly, lovely walks across the sand and how much better can it really get parking up, opening your doors and being able to step straight onto the beach. We will definitely be back very soon. Can get windy here but looks at the views ?. Plenty of parking but does get very very busy here but you can tell why. Toilets are out of service at the moment. There are some shops close by within a couple of miles and a few places to have a pint and a bite to eat. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day here and can’t wait to get back.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, right on the beach. Notice says no overnighting, but six motorhomes did with no problems. Great night's sleep, very quiet. Beautiful sunrise in the morning.

  • 5/5

Stayed here Friday and Saturday night without any problems and plenty of others did as well. Lovely clean beach that is dog friendly. Lovely sun rise.

  • 3/5

No parking 10 pm till 06am fines have been issued lovely beach though You can park on the road leading to the beach with no problems

  • 5/5

Stayed on road leading up to the car park no signs saying no parking had a good nights sleep and only 1 minute to beach very nice well recommended

  • 5/5

Great nights sleep just outside the main beach. 10pm - 6am no sleeping. a lot of sand on the main beach road looked dodgy in some parts and 3 Van's got stuck last week. played it safe. awesome beach.

  • 5/5

Wow what a wonderful spot! Excellent views, right on the beach, quiet, great nights sleep. Two other motorhomes but could fit way more! A hidden gem. Couldn’t find the toilets but used our own anyway. No disturbances, no fines, no warden, no note or warning on windscreen. It does say no parking 10pm-6am. So if you get to 6am undisturbed, you know you can have a nice leisurely morning as it’s a free car park

  • 5/5

Excellent great place to stay right on the dog friendly beach we did awake to find a parking ticket on the windscreen but was only a warning not a fine so only stayed for one night would recommend one night here

  • 4/5

Nice and cool day very busy with vans and motorhomes

  • 4/5

Excellent beach front parking on hardstanding. Dog friendly beach and easy to get to. Does state no overnight parking but great for a breakfast/afternoon stop off or for those brave enough to venture into the sea.

  • 4/5

Stayed overnight 10/7/20 everybody had parking warnings, shame lovely place

  • 5/5

Great place right on the beach, a bit noisy at night with loud music from cars

  • 4/5

No parking over night here . but a beautiful day spot ...
