Spacious lay-by off the road, a bit uneven but room for at least 6 vehicles. Good nights sleep and fairly traffic free all night.

PartTimeAdventurers04/02/2024ideal little spot to stay in preparation for our walk around Tarn Hows in the morning, nice big lay by, though not very flat (but fine for the night), phone signal wasn’t the best and the noise from the road was quite loud, not much shelter from the main road. In the middle of nowhere so ideal if you’re just looking for a convenient stop for something nearby.

Big lay-by that you can get far enough from the roadside that the noise is at a minimum, very few cars pass at night but will be bust by 9am. No one there at 8.30pm when we pulled in but was joined by another VW as the light was fading. Very dark as there’s no street lights so a great starry view on a clear night. No flat spots so strategic parking is required so you’re not sleeping downhill.

Great parking space, lots of room and pretty quiet. Second time we've used it now.

Traffic was minimal during the day, and extremely quiet over night. Stayed there 2 nights in a row!

Stayed for one night traffic was minimal. Undisturbed all night, lay by is quite big would 100% recommend

large layby. surrounded by nature. slopy in places and few potholes. lots of room but zero signal on 3

Plenty of space here, pretty quiet at night time. big wall to the side so not too windy.. nice enough view. on abit of a hill but all in all not bad!

Arrived late, left early, one other van. Plenty of room and quite sheltered on a very windy night.

Nice wide deep curved area laybye. Slope not too bad, traffic quietens down over evening.

Very hard to get an even spot very bumpy, however we had a great night sleep. No issues or disturbance the main road is quiet so didn't cause any bother to us.

Stayed here for a night, as others have said the ground is pretty bumpy but there are plenty of level places to park up. couple of other vans when we were here and quiet road at night. undisturbed all night. Will definitely park up here again.

Quiet, safe, large layby. not too flat but ok. no gravel piles anymore. Park near the trees,though, as lots of buses and lorries pull off into the layby to let queues of cars get past.

Stayed one night. No one bothered us, cars passing throughout the night from time to time.
