Stayed in October with our campervan. Lovely spots for tents, around 4 spaces for campervans. Sanitary installations were very clean, friendly owner. Comfortable common room in an old black house. Payed 35£, online reservations possible. We went here as it was one of the only spots open this time of year and perfect if you need the infrastructure provided.

The local environment is lovely if you are in a tent. The facilities for camper vans are very limited; hookup - yes, water - yes, but no grey or black water disposal at all. Parking is very tight if full (3-5 vans) so don't expect privacy around your vehicle. We were charged £35 for this in May and felt thoroughly ripped off. Find a lay-by.

Such a lovely place to stay. Grieg was the perfect host in this cosy hideaway. The music night in the Blackhouse meant we all got to meet each other and exchange travel tips & stories. This is a quirky, eclectic and tranquil place with access to the Hebridean way as well as it’s own Otter spotting loo. Loved it. Pete & Cath

We booked the yurt for 1 night, arrived at what I would describe as Steptoe and Son's, looked more like the peacecamp at Faslane, the yurt was dated, green damp patches and a poor imitation of what's shown on the website. Showers looked like work in progress, definitely not as clean as shown, we decided not to stay and no way worth the money even if it was clean enough, £80.

Narrow gate for entry for our 6m long motorhome. No elsan. No grey water. Fresh water tap sited so far away from van we had to haul long heavy hose uphill to reach us. Staff rude and unwelcoming to us. Still charge £30/night which is same as West Harris Trust who DO provide facilities. Suggest this site better for small vans.

Brilliant location and great views. Owners are so welcoming. Offer home grown salad and veg too. Lovely walks on there land with a lovely Black house where it’s free to use, so inside is basic cooking facilities toilet shower and washing up sink. With two huge log fires which you are welcome to light. Two lovely sofas and a large table to eat from. Pick up a guitar n play too if you wish. Definitely stop at this one again.

Really lovely campsite. Campers pitch near the entrance (space for c 4 vans - elec hookup, water). Tents are pitched in beautiful gardens. facilties were fine -clean toilets (maybe could do with another?), hot showers, laundry, kitchen. Lovely communal cabin with dining table, sitting room and guitars on hand if so inclined. Magical place. Cost for van for 2 adults inclu elec £30.
