Lovely spot, great views, very remote and also very windy if the weather is inclement. Very handy for a stop if you’re heading somewhere on the M6. No bins, do take your rubbish away with you.

Stayed 1 night...a lot of activity with cars and jeeps until 22.00hrs...after that quiet.. there was another 2 campervans overnight..no problems.. great views.. TAKE NOTE.. leave M6 then when you see the sign for sleddale Rez which is on the left take that route...DONT follow Google maps

Spent 1 night here on the way to Scotland it was ideal for 1 short nights stay in a large van. 1 other van there, 5mins from the m6. belter.

Obnoxious lady claiming to be from United Utilities Knocked on the van and said it was private property. She would be taking my number and ensuring the Police stopped by later.

Stopped here for the night on the way back from Scotland. In the morning we went for a very pleasant two hour walk around the reservoir. If you Google Wet Sleddale walk you'll find the directions, although they seemed a bit out of date so just wing it if you get stuck.

Stayed here on our way back from Scotland. Good spot very quiet, got disturbed by a peristant fearless barn owl scratching around on the roof of the van in the middle of the night. Ended up leaving in the early hours.

We stayed here for one night in our way up to Scotland. Fantastic little spot just off Junction 39, M6. Open space, surrounded by countryside, very quiet, only one other vehicle when we stayed. Have to drive through a farmyard to get to it.

Stayed a night in August, very quiet only is there & a few walkers came and went. Access could be difficult in very wet weather.

Not accessible when raining. Stoney/bumpy road leading there was flooded.

Lovely spot at the dam carpark. Single track roads up to it but no problem. Take the direct route it’s fine. Quiet scenic and 5 mins from the M6.

Arrived very late and initially followed postcode which took us wrong way on the single track lane. Thankfully found somewhere to turn and then located the car park, my advice is stay left on roads. There was one motorhome and car in carpark on our arrival but enough room to park. The next day lots of walker's arrived so repositioned our vehicle so we could drive straight out. Exposed spot.

Great quiet spot. Easy to find within 10 mins of Shap junction M6. Arrived just after midnight, 2 other MH there. I found it level enough not to bother with ramps in my campervan.

Arrived last night and another van here. in corner of car park sign saying no sleeping in vehicles.So we moved down on to common land and parked up next to river.stopped farmer asked if ok and said it was ok as long as you don't leave a mess.. which we don't anyway. no sleeping in vehicle sign

Très proche de l’autoroute. En l’espace de 5 mn vous êtes dans un écrin de verdure avec moutons, collines, lac. Pas de bruit, pas de passage. Téléphone disponible en 3G. A recommander pour une nuit ou même plusieurs si vous profitez des balades dans le coin. (Un sentier de randonnée part du parking).

Don't drive with google maps (through village shape and keld) private road, vehicles get badly damaged on this road ! Take the direct path (there is one!) Very short distance from the M6 / A6 Very quiet on site, numerous midges.

We spent a wet and very windy night here. Lovely rainbow over the water in the morning. Close to M6, which makes it a good stop for those going on further north. No facilities. Good views.

Nice quiet spot. 2 other vans there with us. Bit of a slope to the car park but not too bad. Be warned Google maps directed us via a very circuitous route down private roads when there is a very direct route from the main road.

Hemos pasado una noche muy tranquila y plácida. En el lugar hemos estado 3 AutoCs. Sin servicios pero el lugar merece la pena.
