Beautiful spot so close to the sea. Public toilets right next door and an ice cream shop. 15 minute walk to the harbour for breakfast - cafe or harvester as well as a big Asda and other retail shops. Parking reasonably cheap. Felt safe and secure for my first night away in the VW. Not many spaces but we arrived late evening so wasn’t an issue. Good for sea fishing or a swim in the sea!

Free water tap outside of facilities. Toilets were disgusting, toilet lights turned off at 11PM. Strange people at the beach and in the vicinity of the parking lot. Did not feel safe on Friday night even with street lights on. Drove to East Dean parking instead.

Nice location on the seafront with toilets and a water station. Only downside was the street lights weren't working so didn't feel very safe once it got dark, especially with quite a few people about. We ended up driving 10 minutes to Pevensey Bay and it was much quieter and felt safer.

Stayed here for one night. Nice level spot on the upper part with a view of the sea and eastbourne. A few people hanging around in cars in the night but no problem. Like someone else mentioned make sure you have cash for the parking from 8am. Good phone signal here

a good place to park, reasonably level. right in front of the beach. I haven't stayed overnight but have seen nothing against it. There is a 2m height restriction but I managed to go under with a pop-up VW camper which is 2m high. The parking ticket machine only accepts coins and doesn't give change. so be prepared.

2m height restriction, which have clearly been there for years!

Great place to stop. plenty of room, I was with at least 3 other campers and another stopped late and left early. no issues. toilets closed by the time I arrived but were open before 8. drinking water available. peaceful, foxes for company late at night!! such a great place with a beautiful view. if you're a bigger vehicle there is a lower car park, hasn't got the views but there is more space.

Good stopover location, not too bad noise wise at night, slept well. Does get busy from about 6:30 with fishermen who seem to faff about a lot - who knew how many times they open/shut their doors … 8 times is the average it appears. That said it is fairly level to park up and the kiosk is pleasant

Park at the East car park the other side of the waterworks (also pinned on here) - it’s so much quieter and more peaceful! This one is really quite noisy at night and gets really busy during the day.

Nice spot, loos clean. there is a point to refill your water bottle. the view is lovely. we did think it a bit noisy at night up until 11.30 pm and traffic started again around 6.30 that being said we fell back asleep. would use again. walked to the pier and town about 40 min. big tesco, asda nearby other stores too.

Amazing views and easy to find. No height restrictions currently. Toilets closed at 7pm when we stayed overnight but opened again well before 8am. Free to park overnight from 6pm through to 8am 7 days of the week. Was a Friday night last week and there were a few visits from noisy kids in loud cars up until 11:30 - midnight but very peaceful after that. 2 other vans there overnight - V Good!

Lovely spot right on the water. Very easy to get to Eastbourne on foot or cycle. Toilets close around 8pm but opened early in the morning. Free overnight, cheap during the day.

Lovely! Amazing view of sea and Eastbourne

This is an ace spot, right on the water. Was a few people coming and going but we were not disturbed. Another VW turned up so we were in good company. Would stay here again for sure !

  • 5/5

Would definitely stay again. Sea fishing, breakfast by the harbour, swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the beach with an ice cream. What more can you ask for! Toilets being close is handy too.
