Un parking simple jour et nuit qui surplombe les falaises et est facile d'accès pour se promener sur le Cleveland Way.

A simple parking area day and night that overlooks the cliffs and is easy access for walking on the Cleveland Way. Long, single track and very narrow lane with no passing places. Better suited for smaller vans and campervans but not for motorhomes over 6m. A couple of level spots, including on the tarmac, but the rest is uneven grass.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! felt like we were camping and stunning sea views from our van. Maybe 4/5 vans on Easter weekend, some walkers early morning down the lane, but the main path (Cleveland way) doesn't pass through the spot so not many people walking past so we and other vans hung around in the morning:)

Went last night, was very wet on the grass but fine on the tarmac, we had a good night and woke up with two other around and didn’t hear them arrive, early morning surfers arrived to check out the waves

  • 4/5

Stunning, But! If it is wet do not go. If you go to the end and it is busy, you cannot turn. Go to red lion inn, in the village, huge car park, super old pub ( no food) free if you have a few beers, Mon to Fri 4 on to close, weekends open all day. NOTE: DO NOT TRY ENTER CAR PARK IF YOU ARE LARGER THAN A DPD VAN. The pub is lovely, and worth a stay, you can still walk the pans road.

Had a lovely night stay here. It was super quiet and and in a really picturesque location. Phone service is very hit and miss and there are no bins, but it’s a lovely place to stop. Just watch the mud if you decide to go off of the small hard-standing area!

Stayed here last night. Don’t follow the sat nav directions on here it took us somewhere else. Just put the rd in. Just us and one other van. Lots of walkers in the morning. Right on the coastal path. Nice views. Quiet and peaceful. No signs. No problems.

Stayed last night (18/9/23). Lovely spot despite gales and rain, so all alone, but once it stopped we walked the Cleveland Way north to Hayburn Wyke waterfall then stopped at the Hayburn Wyke Inn (beautiful pub!) for a couple before walking the cinder track back to Salt Pans Road. No bins etc but not a problem as we take our rubbish with us. Would stay again

We have just arrived.Amazing calmn place with a lovely view.A lot of spots to stay for a day and overnigt.

  • 5/5

Posto bellissimo ma l’ultimo tratto di strada è molto stretto, attenzione a chi ha mezzi grossi.

  • 5/5

Great place, well out of the way and a stunning location right next to the sea.

  • 5/5

Parked here on a Friday night. Reasonably busy with vans as well as some tents. Had signal on Three at the van but not down at the beach. 4 mile walk into Scarborough, getting very busy by mid afternoon on the Saturday when I got back. can see why it's a popular spot though, quiet, flat and by the sea.

  • 5/5

Only people staying there last night 12th July nice sea view,O2 signal constantly switching between 3 & 5g but ok,had a dog walker arrive with loud music about 4.30 but apart from a few walkers after 8 no disturbances.

  • 5/5

Lovely views, a couple of other vans using the spot but plenty of space. Short walk up to the nearby pub with a nice little patio area to enjoy in the sun. Road down was narrow and had high grass in the centre which might be a problem for clearance. Bin available in the lay-by on the way out.

Great little spot by the sea, lovely views to wake up to. Only 3 of us there on a bank holiday. Very quiet and out the way.

Stay here on 24/03/23 first impressions was great, then came night time !!!!! First a few dog walkers not a problem then silly boy racers in tin cans arrived then about five cars turned up blocking us in with both males and females up to no good , we will not be returning here and it is a shame , it is down a little tight road/track so didn’t expect any issues

  • 5/5

great quiet spot with lovely sea views. a bit uneven in places but in march there was only us and 1 other van here so had our pick of spots. right on the coastal path, would definitely come again. single track road is narrow, wouldn't want to bring a wide bus down it!

  • 5/5

Absolutely awesome little spot, right on the coast with walks either way along the coast. No issues parking here for the night. No facilities at all, but what a view and great for a sunrise!

  • 5/5

Great spot to stay overnight. No "no parking" signs and one of the best views to wake up to.

  • 5/5

Great spot used it twice once was only can there 2nd time was full but great experience both times

  • 5/5

Stopped for 1 night as we wanted to catch the sunrise. What a treat, sunrise was great followed by dropping down onto the rocks so watch the waves and also saw the dolphins going by. Lane is narrow but not worryingly, space for 6-7 campers but would feel crampt. Level enough if you manoeuvre about. Odd walkers passed by, one car came down and turned around at midnight. 1 loud cow did wake us early

  • 5/5

A beautiful spot to watch the sunset over the hills the way you came or sunrise over the ocean. The road in is a very tight single lane. And has very sharp bumps/bridge hills. A long base vehicle or lowered VW might struggle. But once there worth it. And also a walk down the the beach. Will definitely stay there again.

stopped Saturday night ,got right to the end on road beautiful ,set alarm for a glorious sun rise

  • 5/5

The most perfect overnight stopover! Lovely sunset, only us and the cows on Saturday night. Awoke to a fantastic sunny day so threw open the back doors to enjoy our morning coffee, a gem indeed and one to return to when we're next in the area for views as fab as these.

  • 5/5

As others have said, this is a little gem. Please take your garbage home, and even pick up garbage that's not yours then we don't get a bad reputation.

  • 5/5

Very peaceful, a couple of dog walkers up til about 10:30pm then quiet all night. it is a very narrow lane with a speed limit of 20. very tidy let's try keep this little gem.

  • 5/5

absolutely beautiful place we stayed two nights instead of one as it was so nice. top of a cliff with a path down to a rocky beach, 40 ISH mins walk to a waterfall and through a forest, lots of wild garlic in the forest and other foragable plants around we ate super cheap. idyllic place. quite a few walkers but no one seemed unhappy we were there. lovely Inn not too far away too.

  • 5/5

Great place, the road is narrow with not many passing points. I was lucky and managed not to come across any cars coming in the opposite direction. Popular for walkers, however no problems at all. Lovely nights sleep. Great views. Would come again.

  • 5/5

Perfect little quiet spot, road down very narrow, I was in a transit high top had no issues, but wouldn’t want to attempt any bigger, lovely sea views and nice walks, need all your own facilities here

  • 5/5

Wonderful place. Great access to a fab little hike across the beach / rocks Hayburn Wyke waterfall. A couple of other campers already there, but all very respectful. Perfect little spot.

  • 5/5

Amazing quiet spot and great views and sunrise

  • 5/5

    Lovely night spent here.

  • 5/5

We stayed one night. Beautiful spot for smaller vans (a large motorhome came down while we where there and struggled to fit as the concrete larger space already had a van in it, so left) nice and quiet and fab walk along the cliff tops. where lucky enough to watch an amazing sunrise too. only a couple of other vans when we where there. Will be back.

  • 5/5

Quietest night you'll ever have!!! us and 1 other van, Saturday night. pure bliss right on the Cleveland way path. walk 2 mile north to hayburn wyke waterfall or 5 mile south to Scarborough with stunning scenery. can get signal for phone call but my 02 couldn't get netflix. amazing sunrise. very busy with cars till sunset then park where you want.

  • 5/5

Great stop for the night, locals friendly, views stunning, sunrise amazing

  • 5/5

Beautiful quiet spot, sheltered by barley fields and scruffy cattle pasture, near a rocky beach and dramatic cliffs. Look out for hares in the evening!

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet hide away at the end of track.

  • 5/5

Excellent on January 3rd. Might be busy in summer. Hard to turn around in large vans but stunning views!
