Faro, Estrada do Passeio Ribeirinho

This is the correct location for the free motorhome parking area. Lots of space and close to Faro centre. Feels safe. Problem is it is very noisy at the weekend from kids hanging around very close to the campervan/leaning on it and being really inconsiderate (although harmless) or neighbouring campers playing music very loudly. If this won’t bother you then it is a good parking spot.

Platz ist schön eben, Möglichkeit zum spazieren und circa 25 Minuten ins Altstadtzentrum von Faro. Ab und zu Geräusche vom Zug, da die Schienen dort verlaufen, aber nicht störend

Il faut aller au parking suivant la il y a plein de place. Bien pour aller à Faro. Nous n'y avont pas dormis. Ce parking est tout sauf agréable pour y dormir

Stoi tu bardzo dużo kamperów, niektórzy nawet mieszkają na tym parkingu. Trochę trudno o wolne miejsce, ale nam się udało jedno wyhaczyć. Dobry spot na wizytę w Faro. Do starego miasta na piechotę jest ok. 15 min.

Toralmente masificado. La gran mayoría está acampada ilegalmente y ocupan mucho sitio. No nos quedamos a dormir pues casi no cabe nuestra autocaravana (6 m) pues la de detrás (francesa) sube por la cera con las bicicletas detrás y ocupa parte de nuestro espacio.

Très bien pour visiter Faro. Beaucoup de camping-car et van en hivernage sur le 1er parking mais il y a de la place sur celui derrière. Nuit au calme : nous étions suffisamment loin de la route et des rails et nous n’avons pas entendu les avions. Pingouin Doce à 5 minutes

Parking gratuit sans services. Très calme la nuit. Grand parc à côté. A 15 mns de la vieille ville et du port. Nombreux vans et camping cars. Bonne ambiance.

We stayed here 2 nights so far. Good location and possible to empty toilet down a sewer drain marked as WC which we were showed by the local campers. There are lots of Campervan here and looks like some of them have bee here months. There is some road noise but not a lot. You can hear the city if you listen but we slept through with our 3 small kids. The kids loved watching the airplanes fly by.

Lugar ótimo ! Passamos duas noites e tem muitas AC, polícia passou algumas vezes. Nos sentimos bem e seguros. Boa conexão de internet e próximo de mercado e lojas.

Hay bastante aparcamiento a 20 min caminando del centros sin servicios . Tiene un parque grande justo al lado perfecto si vas con mascotas . A 5min caminando encuentran un centro comercial . Muy tranquilo y nos sentimos seguros en pasar la noche .

15 12 2022: a bit difficult for longer campervans but we did find a spot for our 8m. It's ok to visit Faro. Felt safe. We had a quiet night. There is a park so a plus if you have dogs. No services, only bins .

Stayed there for the night, it was okay. very loud from airplanes until midnight. in the morning loud garden working in the park nearby. also it seems that there are people living in the field next to the park in tents. wouldnt recommend to stay there for long to be honest

parking tranquilo, si que es verdad que hay gente que se ve que vive ahí con su caravana, pero ningún problema, además al lado hay un parque infantil,si vas con niños esta genial, las plazas no son muy grandes, yo con mi camión de 8 metros tuve que ocupar dos plazas,

Parking pour passer une nuit… 15 septembre et peu de places disponibles, beaucoup de CC sont stationnés en hivernage…. Centre ville à une demi-heure à pied… bruit de l’aéroport principalement.

Guter Platz zum übernachten, ruhig und am Rand der Stadt. Haben dort eine Nacht mit mehreren Camper verbracht. Die abgestellten Fahrzeuge und der Flughafen haben uns nicht weiter gestört.

Ich kann verstehen, wenn man hier ein merkwürdiges Gefühl hat, weil viele Camper / Wohnwagen (die hier offensichtlich schon länger stehen) ein bisschen wild aussehen ABER wir standen hier den ganzen Tag lang mit unserem Auto und alles war sicher. Wenn Der Parkplatz eignet sich gut für einen Stadtbesuch. Zum schlafen gibt’s bestimmt schönere Orte, wobei es auch möglich ist!

Ein Parkplatz, ohne Ver- und Entsorgung, aber gut für eine Nacht. Ein idealer Platz um die Stadt zu erkunden (15 Min zu Fuß) und einzukaufen. In unmittelbarer Nähe ist ein Fischrestaurant für Mittagstisch (all you can eat )und eine Bar am Wasser. Die Parkbuchen sind groß genug für ein 7m Fahrzeug mit Überhang. Nachts beleuchtet. Die Flugzeuge und die Bahn haben uns nicht gestört.

Pasamos una noche tranquila, sin apenas ruido ya que no hay vuelos nocturnos. Cercano a la ciudad andando. No ponemos un 5 ya que no tiene servicios.

Fuimos y al verlo y no nos dio buena espina, ni seguridad ninguna. Además estaba al lado de la vía del tren y quizás hubiera más ruidos.

Péssimo parque, do pior que já vi. Fui para passar a noite e a quantidade de mosquitos era tanta que ali não se podia estar, tive de vir embora. É um parque esquecido pela Câmara Municipal, uma vez que se encontram várias autocaravanas e roulotes abandonadas, outras com pessoas a viverem nelas a meses com muita erva e sujidade por baixo. Não recomendo.

Flat carpark designated for motorhomes and vans. Suitable for large motorhomes as access is easy. Good location only 20min walk to centre of Faro. No services available but great spot to stay for visiting the town. Free parking

Pas mal de place et beaucoup d’autres camping-cars, c’est rassurant quand il faut laisser le cc pour faire un tour en ville. Peu d’ombre, mais très calme.

Perfekt für eine Nacht! Parkplatz ruhig gelegen. wir fühlten uns jeder Zeit sicher. Es standen mehrere andere Camper vor Ort. Um die Stadt zu erkunden optimal gelegen. Bis in die Innestadt, zu top Restaurants und Bars, 15 min zu Fuß. Es handelt sich um einen öffentlichen Parkplatz, der aber zum Übernachten auch offiziell ausgeschildert ist.

inderdaad niet op een zaterdagnacht ,wat een drukte. andere dagen wel rustig groot winkelcentrum en het centrum van faro op wandelafstand geen voorzieningen...

L’emplacement n’est pas très glamour mais à le mérite d’exister. Pour visiter la ville, un parking à côté des fortifications semble être une meilleure option. La ville de Faro n’étant pas très attrayante, nous ne sommes pas restés sur place pour dormir.

Parking entre terre, mer et air (train/bateau/avion) ? Pas de bruit dans la nuit, et calme la journée. Parfait pour laisser le véhicule en sécurité le temps de visiter ou pour passer la nuit!

le site est bien situé pour visiter Faro qui n'a rien de bien intéressant a mon gout. 10min a pied vous êtes sur la marina. des gens vivent à l'année sur le parking mais pas de soucis. beaucoup de camping car, beaucoup de bruit (aéroport a côté et train). Une nuit suffit.

Good place, especially when you are with kids as there is a playground and small football field. There are some run-down cars in the parking lot, we were not sure if someone lived there. But we felt safe as there were really many other motorhomes and we stayed for two nights.

Ok, ça dépanne mais c’est pas terrible. C’est à 10’ du centre à pied (qui au passage n’est pas folichon non plus). Des voitures se parquent au milieu des cc, donc difficile de trouver de la place. Sans parler des sdf qui s’y sont installés. Énergies pas très agréables. On y a dormi une nuit et on est parti au matin!

Wir hatten eine angenehme Nacht. Da viele Camper auf dem Platz genächtigt haben, fühlten wir uns sehr sicher. Lautstärke war okay, man hört ab und an mal ein Flugzeug. Außerdem klingelt die Bahnschranke frühs relativ oft, was aber nicht schlimm ist.

Ideale en nette plek voor bezoek aan Faro en omgeving. Wij stonden er 3 nachten. Vlakbij een netjes onderhouden park met speeltuin. Hinder van luchthaven en trein is beperkt.

Der Parkplatz war Mitte März voll mit Wohnwagen. Haben aber noch einen Platz bekommen, man fühlt sich auf jeden Fall sicher mit so vielen anderen Campern. Haben dort nicht übernachtet.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter la ville au calme. Une route, le long de la voie ferré vous conduit au centre ville en 10mns. Quartier historique agréable, côté Cathédrale Santa Maria. Restaurant O Castelo pour profiter d'une superbe vue. A 5mns de l'aire, vous trouvez un grand centre commercial avec Auchan, Décathlon et plein d'autres magasins.

Parking proche du centre. Peu pratique pour des longs camping-car. Nous sommes repartis sans avoir dormi, la ville de Faro ne nous a pas plu.

Great place to stop over and easy access into Faro. Seems nice and quiet. There are some old broken down cars/vans that have obviously been here for quite a while with people living in them. The police patrol here. Close to Tibi Vets if you need an EU pet passport with 3yr rabies jab.

Aucun charme mais à 15 minutes du centre de Faro à pied. Parking qui fait qu'on est serré les uns aux autres mais fait l'affaire pour la nuit. Un centre commerciale se trouve à 400m en voiture pour l'envie du matin.

Estacionamiento tranquilo y seguro, bastantes plazas, iluminado por la noche, parque al lado, bastante cómodo. Ideal para pernoctar y pasar el día, está cerca del centro de Faro paseando. Supermercados y otras tiendas de utilidad muy cerca. Recomendado!!

Great free parking. Met other nice vanlifers. Lots of grass for dogs and even an organic waste bin near-by. First time I've seen that. Handy if you have composting toilets... Airport is pretty close but not too busy so bearable.

Large area next to a park, the train tracks and in the line of arriving planes, with a large construction site close by. Still rather quiet at night, though. Very little shade, no services. Some long term campers, which I always like, they usually keep an eye on things. Quick walk into town along the train tracks.

Normale parcheggio dove è possibile sostare e pernottare. Non ci sono servizi ma tutto sommato è un posto gradevole. Durante il giorno il passaggio a livello e l'aeroporto nelle vicinanze non lo rendono un posto propriamente silenzio ma niente di così insopportabile. Il centro di faro è raggiungibile a piedi (20min circa) o con uno dei vari servizi di scooter (monopattino) sharing.

Wir haben hier eine Nacht übernachten. Es war nicht besonders schön, aber es gab genügend Parkplätze und es war Nahe zur Stadt. Für eine nacht völlig ausreichend. Keine Duschen/WC. August 2021

Pasamos la noche aquí. Sitio muy tranquilo y no tuvimos problemas de ningún tipo. Por la mañana mucha gente pasa haciendo deporte, pero nada ruidosos.

Ok for a night or two. Right next to a big and pretty park and the water. There was a public toilet nearby, which was closed at the time though, probably because of Covid. The lot was basically full of campers and motorhomes. It was surprising given that we had heard Portugal doesn't allow overnight stays outside of camping grounds. Apparently, lots of spots are tolerated.

Aparcamiento donde se encuentran ACs, pero no está acondicionada para ellas; las maniobras dentro del citado parking con una AC de más de 7 metros son muy complicadas. Hay mucho ruido ambiental, barreras del tren, aviones, gente en motocicleta, etc. Aún así pasamos una noche allí y agradecidos de encontrar un sitio dónde dormir, y que no nos sancionen por ello.

Nice location: 20 min walk to faro city center, surrounded by a local park with gym equipment, a local restaurant that offers morning coffee close by; we slept well even with some minor noises (train and trash car)

Alors bon, sans faire dans la dentelle, c’est plus un camp de SDF qu’un parking gratuit.... proche de la voie ferrée, de l’aéroport, c’est très bruyant de 6h le matin à 23h … on était content de trouver ce spot pour dormir, mais content aussi d’en partir ! Attention, quasiment plein fin septembre :)

Hell beleuchteter großer Platz. Standen hier mit vielen andere Womos und Vans. Kamen gegen 21 Uhr an und der Platz war zur Hälfte voll. Sauberer Eindruck, kleinere Raststätten-Mülleimer.
