(LA6 3JF) The Station Inn

We hebben hier 22/08/2023 overnacht met onze dektent. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en geslapen, echter wel iets last van het veerooster nabij de pub. Na het eten hebben we heerlijk gewandeld in het gebied.

Carpark full for the night so we stayed just back at previous free park. Went to pub for drinks. Next day asked the pub to use services and was approved. Great stop.

Great place to base yourself for the local walks. Go into the pub and register on arrival, we stayed two nights and had dinner there once. There is cassette disposal and a tap, they will give you a code for the toilet. The septic is a bit smelly but just don’t park down wind and its not an issue. The cattle grid a bit annoying during the day but didn’t disturb us at night. Enjoy the Ribble.

What a find and a perfect place to stay for the cost of a meal. The food here is wholesome with great portions...a little too much for me, but very tasty. Friendly and helpful staff add to the benefit of staying here, as others have said.

Excellent welcome. The only requirement is to register at the bar. Very friendly staff. Spotless toilet onsite with hot running water and is heated. Highly recommended. Will definitely be going back.

Parked up for one night. Really welcoming staff we had dinner here and made the most of the fire and WiFi which was lovely. Facilities in the car park which are handy! Definitely return if we are back this way! Food was excellent beautiful location too!

plenty of parking in the Station Inn carpark. Give my details to the barman before heading out on the bike for a few hours. Returned to a superb feed with excellent friendly service. WiFi and portaloo a bonus. no phone signal or Internet on EE. Extensive network of footpaths, Bridleways right from the beer garden. Good starting/finishing point for the 3 peaks.

Great views and walks. Nice food and you do need to eat to stay- there is now a sign saying this but I can’t post as we’re at the 5 photo limit on here! Friendly staff and clean toilet but noisy cattle grid on the road and septic tank can be smelly if down wind of it!

Lovely place for a stopover, food was lovely, porta Loo, wifi, nice walks will be returning

Wir sind seit 5 Wochen in England und Schottland unterwegs und haben oft in Restaurants gegessen. Hier war es am besten! Und dazu noch ein schöner Blick auf das Viadukt.

Good spot helped by being very friendly to stop overs. Clean motorhome only toilet on a combination lock with hot and cold water, fresh water if needed too. Pub food is very good and reasonable value (everything is going up now so it's all relative) but the portion sizes are very generous! WiFi accessible from the car park too and traffic on cattle grid is nonexistent after about 10.

Great location and base for walking, toilets available , the beer and food in the pub is now very good. if I'm going to be picky, there is a strong "nature" smell in the car park. maybe this is just a one off. But a great stop. see a YouTube chanel for more info.

April 2022, superb location. For health and safety they will ask you to register and exchange that for the code for lovely clean toilet just for campers. Right by the viaduct. Beautiful views even on a wet and windy day. Noise from cars going over a cattle grid but that stops overnight. Busy place for walkers. Food was really tasty. Highly recommended

Pub car park very accessible for Whernside. Portaloos in car park. Pub staff friendly had evening meal which was not cheap and sadly not the quaility enjoyed on previous day visit. Still a great location to park (Friday night 14-1-22)

Pub car park free to camp if you nip in for food/ drink. Now has portaloos in the car park for after the pub closes, warm friendly atmosphere, brilliant staff and amazing views of the viaduct

Brilliant stayed sat night , saw the flying Scotsman passing over Ribble Head viaduct, great overnight, had meal and drinks in the Pub , very friendly Land Lady . Great atmosphere. Will definitely stop again

Perfect stay. Asked the pub for permission to stay and they said fill your boots! We ate and drank at the pub as a thank you. Park close to the building and you'll get to use their free WiFi. There's also a tap to fill your drinking water. The hikes and views are incredible. 100% recommend.

Great spot to stay. Beautiful views and pub owners are so friendly. Loads off walks sat right in the middle off the 3 peaks. No phone signal. But a brilliant spot well worth giving something back to the pub with great food and brilliant beer and excellent staff.

Big carpark.. great views...pub owner friendly.. you need to spend money in his pub to stay overnight. food is excellent but a bit pricey. portaloos on carpark open all night.. male and female.. very clean. drinking water tap outside to refill for next journey... would stay here again.. maybe just order a starter!

Great place. Very welcoming with the bonus of an amazing view. Food is great and a good atmosphere, even this late in the season. Would recommend.

Had a couple of drinks in the pub and stayed the night. Good selection of beers and good nights sleep. Portaloos outside open all night.

This was brilliant, free camper vans in the carpark, first come first serve. All C19 precautions in place. We had a wonderful meal and great beer.

Fantastic stopover, pub welcoming and supplying good food and beer! Views awesome even with the horizontal rain! Side note-No access to toilets unless pub open and pub does offer a breakfast option if you book the night before.

Excellent spot, free parking if you use the pub. WiFi now available in pub but not strong enough to reach the car park. Food a tad expensive but it was well worth it, its the saying you get what you pay for. Recommend this park up

I was too late to use the Station Inn but I used the Ribblehead Junction space mentioned in the description - a bit noisy from passing cars but a very welcome spot (I had to abandon the appalling Hill Inn site where I'd spent 16 quid for a bit of electric on a site full of noisy ignorant oafs). Station Inn looks good and I will try this in future.
