Very peaceful no one else about overnight , woke up with the exmoor ponies at the van side , beautiful scenery . no phone signal so was lovely to get away from technology for a night , great for an off-grid get away ,

  • 5/5

quite through out the night. woke up to nice views. no other vans over night but woke up to a few dog walkers. would come back.

  • 5/5

really lovely quiet spot to stop over night ! me, my boy and the dog got there around 5 ish, couple of other vans parked up and a dog walker or two in the morning. It's quite high up so on windy night you do hear it but we quite like sleeping to the sounds of nature ! enjoy ! no facilities, no bins so please keep it tidy :) it's a great find.

Really great spot. Brilliant view and sunset. Fairly flat. But no amenities so take a rubbish bag with you. Very quiet all evening. Plus we went for a nice 5k walk in the morning before setting off again.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Had the place to ourselves. Had a very windy, cold and wet night. Happily woke up to a sunny calm days with a wonderful view. Check the forecast!

Ein Traum. Ruhig, schön und hier starten Wanderungen. Tagsüber ist mehr los

what a place! lovely view, quiet at night and a lot of stars to gaze at at night. 0 bugs, 12 wild cows that came to visit us. We'd reccomend this to everyone.

  • 5/5

Well worth the drive up. Absolutely silent at night. Mind the flies during the day though (Ridded them by using a mosquito coil) Shall defo visit here again!

  • 5/5

spot super avec de belles randonnées autour

  • 5/5

Really nice and quiet location with plenty of room and a great view of the countryside. We had a great night here with two other vans. The road up could be interesting for bigger vans with very few passing areas. Very limited mobile reception. Certainly one of our favourite stops.

Onze meest favoriete plek van Engeland tot dusver (na 1 maand rondreizen). Wat een stilte, wat een uitzicht mét wilde paarden. Donatie van £1 wordt gesuggereerd maar niet noodzakelijk. Wij stonden hier twee nachten.

Very good stay, did one night here, very peaceful and great views! No facilities here but didn’t really bother us.

  • 5/5

Fantastic unspoilt free spot for day and night sleeping, spent a very peaceful night, great for walking, view fab, no toilets, a firm favourite and another one for our 'highly recommended' list.

  • 5/5

Absolutely incredible views! There was only one spot in the whole car park with very minimal signal so not the place to park if you need the internet but it was absolutely worth sacrificing it for the amazing and breath taking views we had waking up!

  • 5/5

This is a lovely place to stay. The ground is a little uneven, but it’s not too bad. The view is beautiful, and there is no road noise at night. It gets a bit busy in the morning with dog walkers and cyclists. There is no facilities or bins, so make sure you take your rubbish with you, keep it clean!!

Had a lovely day and night here. So peaceful and amazing views! Slightly sloping but we managed to get a pretty flat spot

  • 4/5

Great spot with an fantastic view next to several trails. But please, don't be like the people who arrived on the second night... picking mushrooms and starting a fire, resulting in a smoke filled van... We were 'forced' to leave... Leave no trace!

In a 2 week road trip this was my favourite spot… brilliant for walks there’s paths everywhere all leading to lovely views, loads of room on the car park and there’s 2 others nearby too. Very quiet area, couple of other motor homes there, nice grassy areas near where you park. Not great signal but a short walk got me enough to send a text!

We ended up here at midnight having had to leave Minehead in a hurry (spot didn’t feel safe). The road here is very narrow but we got our twin-axle in okay. If you’re in a bigger vehicle I’d recommend trying to avoid busy times of day as there aren’t many passing places (esp coming through Luscombe). Beautiful, quiet and safe spot on arrival. Use what3words not the postcode!

  • 5/5

A beautiful place to stay. Lovely panoramic views, nice and quiet. Flat ground. Only one other van all evening woke up to find two more. One of the best places we've stayed. Kids loved it.

  • 4/5

Beautiful location with incredible views. Large car park. Very quiet all night. Walks on the doorstep. Don’t use postcode given to find this - put Webber’s Post Car Park into maps or use What3words & search: averages.untruth.tumble

  • 5/5

Large, mainly flat and great view. Quiet with very little passing traffic. No signs.

  • 5/5

We absolutely loved it here! So much so we came back a second night a few days later. It feels very safe and very quiet even though 3/4 other vans there too. Absolutely amazing views and fab woods to explore around the area. There is a pub / a little beach 10 minutes drive away from here for toilets etc. You do have to pay for parking outside pub though!

  • 4/5

Greta place, fairly level and easy access. 3 other vans there and all with pop tops.

  • 5/5

Quiet park up with amazing views! We were the only van there so had the place to ourselves. It’s also mentioned in the Lonely Plant Guide as one of the best spots for stargazing.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot good for walking or mtbing, wardens came around 10am asked if stayed the night as they don't want overnight parking,

  • 5/5

Great place once we found it. Nearly went to wrong place as used post code Luckily a local helped .maybe my three words would be better for locating sites? . Great nights sleep & joined by four ponies in the morning . Will use again

First time we have used the app, it's amazing and so easy to use and extremely reliable with directions. This was a great spot for an overnight stop. No signs to say that you can not park here. Arrived 9pm one car there that left around 11pm so we had the place to ourselves... In the morning fabulous views. There are further laybays that you can park near a stream when heading to Horner Woods...

Great spot. Nice views. Plenty of walking and cycling trails (including well surfaced accessible walking path). Easy to get level. Large area so easy to find space. Shady trees in hot weather. We stayed at bank holiday during half term and it was not ridiculously busy. Some dog walkers / walkers in the morning but not early so peaceful night sleep. Approach road from luccombe / Horner is steep (crook horn hill). We are 8.5m and 4 tonnes - we made it but was challenging! Road from south is easier.

Great spot, nice and quiet. No amenities, no visible restrictions.
