Beautiful location! Right by a waterfall and breathtaking views. Losing two stars for the sheer amount of midges, I can't even begin to describe how many there were! If you don't mind inhaling them and/ or eating them.. Stay!

BathLis03/08/2023Spent a night here following a great walk up Ben Hope. Lovely spot, but lost a star due to being completely surrounded by midges in the morning and evening because of a lack of any sort of breeze!
Fellhound14/05/2023Stayed two nights here and did Ben Hope, great little spot. Parked on the level grass area on the north side of the barn, leaving enough space for the door to be accessed! Lovely and quiet at night, couple of other walkers' cars. No midges yet! Took away some others' litter....

Looking good. arrived late. not a soul around. bit of a hairy ride in the dark and rain. lots of space. we passed various side of the road spaces as we drove here. no facilities here. no noise. no light. amazing! in the morning about half a dozen vehicles parked up with walkers starting their hikes. Still very quiet. a beautiful spot.
jennysevans13/06/2021Amazing. Stayed here two nights, one night there was a few vans, the next we were alone. Everyone was very quiet and respectful of the serenity of the place.

Spent a really quiet night here before walking up Ben Hope the next day. Confirmed there is no phone signal! But it’s an amazing spot. It is single track road with very few passing places, but we only met one van on our journey in and out. We stayed overnight on a Friday and it was full up the next day with walkers, so I would suggest getting there early or late particularly at weekends.
