Wish we'd had longer, the welcome and hospitality is as good as the eggs and fudge hope to be back.

We stayed here in September & loved it. The owners were super helpful with local recommendations & knowledge and the site itself was full of character. Despite the rainy weather we really enjoyed the walk towards the cliffs/lighthouse, loved the unique bits and pieces the owner had placed along the way. Only wish we were there longer & in better weather to make use of the lovely seating areas :)

Lovely friendly couple .. hadn’t booked just rolled up . No problem found us a pitch within minutes of being on this quirky site I’d asked to stay a second night , superb coastal cliff walks .

  • 5/5

absolutely 5 star. owners exceptionally friendly and helpful. dog and child friendly. 17 p/n for a lovely well kept EHU pitch. no showers/toilets but community centre close by with chargeable amenities. plenty of owned croftland to explore, very quirky. Will definitely return. water available on site.

Debbie was very helpful and gave us lots of information about local businesses. Very friendly and easy to talk to. This campsite is certainly quirky and has a few surprises, if you look for them. Spòrsnis has services nearby, £4 for CWT. Money goes to the local community facility. It's a great spot and well worth a visit.

  • 5/5

Lovely very friendly site with quirky surprises. Well worth the £10 we paid for car and roof tent. Pitch was in grass at top of hill with fantastic views over crofts and ocean. Heard a corncrake in the night!!!! Lovely overnight stay would recommend. Toilets and showers at local community centre also very friendly.

Great spot! The owner is a funny and easy going guy. The location is beautiful, take a stroll to the water for a beautiful coast and spot seals! Great cake in honesty box! NOTE: if you want to use a toilet, get fresh water, take a shower, dump waste water or chemical toilet, you can’t do this on this site. The owner advises you to go to a building 2km up, couple of £ to use these facilities.

Wunderschöner, kleiner, verrückter Campingplatz bzw.Stellplatz.

Aardige mensen, fijne plek, precies zoals omschreven

We highly recommend the little campsite, the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and told us all about the local walks. 5 minutes to the coast where we seen seals. The local lighthouse walk is under an hour for the round trip. Basic site hardstanding or grass, fire pits and many amusing points to keep you smiling. Free range eggs and home baking for sale.

  • 4/5

Alles bereits gesagt.

  • 5/5

The owner is very helpful and friendly. Great location for kids because you can walk to the beach and an amazing play park in 10 mins.

  • 5/5

Booked for a night on NYE, ended up staying 2. Lovely hosts/owners. We had the best weather so could walk to the beach & lighthouse. A must in the area. No facilities, but we could leave our trash and get water & EHU. Good 4g.

  • 5/5

Only campsite we could find that was open last week. Great spot, good location for the start of a nice coastal walk to Clan Morrison Island and lighthouse. Owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Only £17 with EHU. Bo facilities on site. Showers/toilets/chemical waste disposal at local leisure centre 3 mins drive away. £3 showers, £3 waste disposal and fresh water fill up. Will stay again

Sehr sehr nette Gastgeberin.

Very friendly owners, very relaxed. Great location for walking to the lighthouse and Fort. Honesty box for brownies and fudge. £17 including electric. water on site but all other facilities need to pay and use at Leisure centre 5 min drive away. paid £10 for 2 showers , CWD and grey water disposal.

  • 5/5

Sehr netter Empfang.

  • 5/5

Wunderbarer Ort und ebensolche Gastgeber. Stehe oben auf dem Hügel. Windig aber herrlich!

  • 5/5

Nice site. Only cost us £5 to stay on the grass field at the top (small vans only, the bigger pitches nearer the entrance cost more). Water tap at the entrance. We walked to both the lighthouse and to the cairn over the foot bridge. It's very windy up on the top field and even more windy on the walks but it feels like being on the edge of the world!

  • 5/5

what kind and helpful people the owners are, go that extra mile to help you with anything. so cheap £5 a night no electric, facilities nearby at local leisure centre. eggs and brownies for sale with honesty box, would highly recommend

  • 5/5

Amazing little site with friendly owners. Their land leads to a footpath where you can access the beach, the lighthouse and the bridge. We used the facilities at Sporsnis the next day.

  • 5/5

Debbie and Johnny are amazing hosts, they are so kind and make sure you have everything you need. We booked for one night and stayed for two. They towed us out when we got stuck in the mud and supplied us with wine when we did not prepare for Sunday closing! The Croft is enclosed and safe for dogs to have a run around. Drinking water on site or you can use facilities at the sport centre for £4.

  • 5/5

Lovely pitch with really helpful owners who go the extra mile- the fire pit and stargazing was a real treat! Good hard standing with electric hook up and water. 4G so no issues with phone signal. Beaches nearby are incredible and within walking/cycling distance. A great place to stay on the North of Harris!

  • 5/5

Stayed 1 night on short hebradies tour. solid flat parking for 7.5m - walked out back of croft to coast and round to lighthouse. loved the rugged coast walk. hosts really friendly with great attitude to reuseing everything.

  • 5/5

    Very peaceful, great hosts.

  • 5/5

Spent lovely night at Uncles Croft. Sadly the weather was not good enough to use their outdoor fire pit. Debbie and Jonny really helped us out in the morning as our table broke, they also jump started someone else’s van! Debbie also directed us to the best kids adventure play park we’ve been in since being away. Looking forward to staying again.

  • 5/5

Lovely little site in excellent location with realty helpful hosts

  • 5/5

Stumbled across Uncle’s Croft - newly opened 2021. For frills, loos, asking facilities, showers - ie. a campsite - don’t come here! Leave it for those who love the wild tranquility, friendly welcome from Jonny and Debbie & unlimited tips & advice on where to go locally. J lent us surfboards, brought freshly caught fish, arranged our pub lunch and, unbidden, even emptied our grey water! £15/night

  • 5/5

Great spot and very friendly hosts. Would highly recommend.

  • 5/5

Excellent and friendly place to park a campervan for the night. Level hard standing pitches with nice views to open country. Direct access to a large Croft area leading down to the coast and walk to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse. No sheep in the enclosed Croft so dogs can be off lead there. Electric hook up available and fresh water, but no other services on site

  • 5/5

Debbie was fantastic and after meeting at the beach invited us back to use the site. Extremely quiet and peaceful with electric hook up.
