Good quiet night with three other vans. Occasional train passes. Lovely spot

  • 5/5

Had a good night, was fairly illuminated unlike other local spots on here. Blackout blinds and I wasn't disturbed.

  • 5/5

Great free parkup for the night, can get some cars on there but dont stop late, nice place too walk dogs too around the lakes

  • 2/5

parked up around 18:30 was a quite spot, a few cars came and went then got woken at around 11:30 to car with loud music playing then 2 lads started arguing, they soon left. To about 10 minutes later a young lad messing around on a moped. I left at that point and found a nice spot 10 minutes down the road.

Had a poor sleep, a lot of 'comings and goings' through to late at night. The whole place is lit up green at night by a traffic light.

  • 4/5

Great little spot had a nice sleep only problem is boy races and groups of late teens in cars hanging around till around 11pm next to the train line but this doesn't run overnight will be visiting again

  • 4/5

Great little place, nice walk nice and quite apart from the odd teenager in cars with loud music. will use it again though.

A few noisy people on there around 11.30pm for an hour or so but was unfortunate to cop for rail repairs at 2am. However, nice, flat, decent reception. Overall not too bad. Would use again

Great spot always quite of away from main road , but is a train track but not got rains running past all the time

Stopped 7th feb 22, if you come in a582 flensburg way turn right onto lodge lane 6ish houses. The other way into lodge lane is a dead end and you can’t get to the carpark as a train track separates you. Quite a nice place couple of kids early evening gone by 10. As others say you can hear m6 in the distant background. O and the odd train. Nice walks for shylo, ducks wildlife and the heron

Came Christmas Day no one about peaceful and secluded nice walk around the lake. Signpost Lodge Lane passing places on lane but only a couple of houses

  • 4/5

Overall a nice place to park. The train track isn't loud and not too busy, so as people have said, didn't affect sleep. Plenty of space to park and turn around and the lakes are pretty. But, there's something 'fishy' going on here... Empty car park when I arrived but oddly completely filled with cars at around 7pm, then oddly all left around 10pm. Nobody bothered us.

Pulled up, had loads different cars show up, two guys taking our number plates so decided to leave. Wouldn’t recommend !!!

  • 5/5

Nice pretty spot, 1 other van , felt safe

  • 5/5

Good stop over easy to find from the M6 . I was here mid week in September and there was nobody around. The odd passing train and background M6 noise but very quiet really .

  • 4/5

Spent a peaceful night's sleep. Easy to find from the main road. Only other people were dog walkers and fisherman. Would happily return.

  • 4/5

Nice wee spot. Quiet place with a lake. There's some ducks, pigeons and we saw a heron. The car park had a bit of rubbish which we picked up and put in the bin which is right there. one car came in the night but nobody bothered us.

Stayed here last night. Great spot to wake up, right by the water with the ducks. A few cars coming though the night. But would recommend as very close to M6

  • 5/5

Excellent quiet spot. Beautiful lake to wake up to complete with ducks! As others said the trains pass but do not disturb. Felt safe. Highly recommended. Only thing to note is that the road Lodge Road comes off is currently shut (temporary) for roadworks but we were escorted here by super helpful highways maintenance vehicle!

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet spot, friendly locals offered to fill up our water tank. Beautiful birds and fish on the lakes.

  • 4/5

Pleasantly surprised how quiet this spot was considering how close to the M6 it is. Next to a train track but didn’t affect our sleep. We had the spot to ourselves after locals left. The locals were also very nice.

  • 5/5

Quite spot we had it to ourselves after the dog walkers went home. Good 4G Vodafone signal. Very peaceful with great sunset. Litter bin was handy.

  • 5/5

Felt safe and secure. very quiet night. only a few cars coming and going but all quiet from around 10.30/11pm until approx 8.30am next morning. I was leaving then anyway. Next to railway line but not noisy at all. you hardly heard them when they went past..

  • 5/5

Very nice beautiful spot. Plenty of space, nice and quiet and very few cars coming and going.

  • 4/5

Nice spot and quiet. parked up yesterday had a nice walk and wasn't disturbed. Nice view from the van

  • 4/5

A very pleasant little nook but it looks like you MUST come into Lodge lane from Flensburg Way, (approach from Penwortham way appears to have a high risk of grounding and an unmanned railway crossing to negotiate) two fishing ponds and country walks available and a litter bin. I think the railway line can't be too busy but I'll edit later if it is.
